I've got two folders in /ostree/deploy/default/deploy that are around 16.8GB. Is one safe to delete or should I just leave them alone?
SI probably wouldn't even use my preamp with it, I'd probably just use a keyboard I have as the instrument, if I want to use one
SI do have a preamp for my guitar and for a mic

Gyeah after experiencing bazzite on my legion go probably not the best starter distro. I would say let them get familiar with something like linux mint first
Gunless of course you are willing to be their tech support
VOn Desktops I find Bazzite to be more reliable. A lot of handhelds have a lot of quirks which are a pain to navigate through. The Desktop experience is a lot easier.
Gyeah I bet so which is why I said probably. But who knows what issues you could encounter which is why I suggest a started distro unless you want them to be their tech support I guess
VHonestly, I had more issues with Mint.
VMy music player just would not work. Appimage and flatpak. No bueno.

SI was going to use mint, but I like Bazzite, I just had resolution issues with the desktop mode after hooking a TV to it
SI like the game mode

DHowdy y’all! I’m having an issue- I’m on the ROG ally and when I’m on battery, setting the TDP in either HHD or steam overlay has no effect on the TDP that is being reported. Ex: I’d set the TDP to 18 watts and when in game I’m seeing 30+ watts being used. Curious if this is a known issue for the ally or maybe just a user error. Thanks in advance

KSometimes you get weird flatpak issues vs a non-immutable distro not using flatpaks, but otherwise yes
K(permissions, flatpaks communicating with each other, etc)
VWell if you have trouble with a flatpak, that's when you can get started with distrobox

Googling issues doesn't always work out, and if they don't on Bazzite it doesn't mean your graphics break and you need to reinstall.

Jthere is zero technical reason to recommend a new user a traditional distro - the sooner we kill that myth the better.
KObviously. I'm just pointing out an issue a new Linux user could run into on an immutable they possibly wouldn't elsewhere (where distro-provided packages are installed vs being mostly flatpaks, etc)
