BI think the control boards are on the motors, with a logic board handling connections etc.
KControl board is part of the motor kit, which must be ordered at VPForce separately.

IYeah. I got WW F18 stick right now which is OK. I was wanting to compliment the setup to match with collective.
BI got like four 5- way hats a 3- way on the side, four regular buttons, and two triggers, one with dual stage, the other with a flip up.
It's not 1:1 of anything, but it certainly gives options.

KYes, the kit includes all parts except the motor kit (1. DIY FFB kit: 57BLF03 x2 + USB - 299 € (+ VAT)) and power supply unit.

FI see some people make collectives with the Rhino parts. What would be the advantages of using FFB for a collective, apart from some effects like airframe vibration, weapons and touchdown?

NThe AFCS implementation for the MSFS H145/160 from HPG is complete and functional for all 3 axes (Cyclic, Pedals, Collective). However it is a very unique case only made possible by direct involvement of the developers and external controls we have in MSFS via SimConnect.
The cyclic/pedals are not a simple "follow the axis" implementation. There were several key things were needed to implement it including specific telemetry indicating the state of the AFCS trim system and specific LVARS that could be set to indicate whether the axis is moving by user input.
The collective was actually the easiest to implement. If the user is not pressing the collective trim release, we simply do not send any axis data to the sim and just "follows the axis".
All that said, DCS does not provide the same external controls, or telemetry that would be needed to pull off a similar implementation.
From what I have read, the ED team intends to implement AFCS on the cyclic, but I would not expect we will be able to externally implement pedals and/or collective just due to DCS limitations.

BHi all, I just saw the Moza AB9 review and it said that when you use a Virpil stick some of the axis are recognised as buttons. Is the same true for the VPForce? I currently have a VKB installed as right stick and also thinking of adding a FFB center mounted one with either VKB or Virpil.
LRhino supports Virpil grips fully. VKB doesn't need support, only an adapter for attachment (remember include it in your order); you will use your blackbox, there is no electrical connection.

Aas it stands today Moza is a glorified haptic feedback device.
HMoza is new to the flight sim game. Brunner equipment is in actual flight schools and they've been doing this for an extremely long time and the software is great. Completely different markets.

HAgreed, the Rhino is extremely capable. I'm going a different route hence why I'm selling both.
HAnd FFB beast is a shadow of the Brunner CLS-P cyclic which is 100NM and certified for flight training. Not to mention its about 10K USD.

HYou would be surprised. Same could be said for the amount force for the wheels that have direct drive "who needs that shit at home" . There is a reason Brunner chose 100nm for their cyclic. Enjoy your moza, to each their own.

HWhy are you even in the Rhino discord then? 32NM isn't alot of force at all. My 10 year old nephew could handle 32NM turning wrenches in my motorcycle when we work on it.
HYes I know what direct drive is and the difference. I don't use race sims. I fly in real life and use sims. I'm very aware of the forces and I trust the engineers both mechanical and electrical at brunner what they did with their cyclic has the most realistic forces applied or can be simulated based on the aircraft for FFS Level D

IIt's a damn shame the FFBeast's potential is ruined by bad software. The output of the stick is completely meaningless if the software isn't worth a damn.

IJust go look at your software and compare it to the range of effects TelemFFB can produce. There's no argument to be made. TelemFFB is by far the superior software.
