restart software / PC and thing i made an oppsi is: make sure your profile isnt set to be a chopper had that on the mirage F1 accidentally put it to chopper and the moment i went to fast it just went ballistic with the overspeed turbulences since a chopper normally aint fying 500 kts

If you haven't touched the Rhino configurator or TelemFFB it probably is something about the export lua and stuff.
There are more knowledgeable people on here with better ideas probably

If I order the Rhino, is it possible to upgrade the motors in it by simply ordering the motors and printing/cutting new sidewalls for them to fit, or is the box physically bigger for the larger motor flanges?

Good day all, I have a G940 running at the moment but I'm thinking about upgrading to a Rhino. Mainly flying modern Jets and Helicopters I'm not sure which kit I should take. Is the base kit enough when coming from the G940 or should I go to the medium-sized kit instead? Hope you guys have any first hand recommendations for me

Hi, I have the 86BLF04 motors fitted in my home made setup including rudder pedals. The torque is so great that I limit the master gain to 70%. My gear ratio is 3.6:1. I have never measured the torque produced at max levels. The other benefit is my motors never get hot, and therefore I have no need for fans. As an Ex PPL pilot and someone who is involved in building new flight sims for the military, one of the key benefits of the FFB is not just the feedback from control surfaces, but the subtleties of feeling stalls, buffeting, gear and flap travel etc.... One of the biggest positive impacts of using the FFB is Trim and Force Trim, they make flying even more immersive, and in some cases easier. If you are fighting stick pressures when you are not manoeuvring, you are probably not flying "correctly". Trimming was hammered into me in my PPL training by an ex-military instructor, and it makes flying more pleasurable and less tiring. Currently I am building a second identical setup for my son. However, I do not think you will lose much by buying the standard motors, plus they are cheaper if budget is an issue.

Thnx for the reply, I mainly use the FFB from my G940 for trimming so this is what I mainly want to upgrade. The G940 is too limited and too old now. I use also basshaker in my rig for all kind of effects wich works very very well and is super immersive, especially in VR

I might get this wrong, so I will defer to any rotary pilot expert who corrects me.

In a fixed wing aircraft you normally trim a little at a time, eg you adjust a trim wheel or trim “hat” to get the control input trimmed so no more force is applied to keep the aircraft in a stable attitude. The more trim required, the more you have to adjust the trim wheel or trim “hat”.

Forced trim is found in certain helicopters. It is called “force trim” because even if you have a large amount of trim to adjust to remove your cyclic forces, it is just a single button press of the “Force Trim” button and takes immediate trimming effect. No need for lots of trim adjustments. There may be a similar function on some fixed wing aircraft, I do not know for certain, I am only aware of it being used in rotary aircraft.

EDIT: I should have added, that for both fixed wing and helicopters, trimming will remove control forces, therefore the control (Rudder/Yaw pedals, and Stick/Cyclic) will stay in the new position without you having to add an input if properly trimmed and in balanced flight. However, there are possibly exceptions to this as there are many ways an aircraft can trim out flying forces, and also how the control surfaces are linked to the control inputs.

After checking with a colleague who is a rotary pilot, some helicopters also have a trim hat similar to fixed wing.

- Force Trim: change pitch/roll of aircraft with changing stick position with new center

Force trim is holding your cyclic in place by electromagnetic clutches that you interrupt when holding the button. Aka you interrupt, move stick, release -> new center.

With trim he probably refers to the hat trimming where you move the new center by pressing the hat in a direction with the system moving the stick there.

It simply brings the grip closer, so the base can be placed so the belt don't rub against my seat.
