You are not really supposed to use initialize, you're also setting the bit depths multiple times.
So not sure what the error is here, try cutting down the code to a minimal repo?

I tried leaving the most basic options for the window.
How would I get the window up without Initialize?
I need the window up first to in order to get a surface canvas for Skia to work, then trigger the render when needed, thus IsEventDrivenIsEventDriven

i just use the builtin ways. it also work with multi window with the WindowManager extension

Just try to force SDL and see if you get a window. I know we don't want to support SDL long-term but just do it temporarily

Personally, I think this is an issue, games & other apps like chrome that use opengl, they work with or without the dedicated gpu

I'm not sure if this is a relevant question (it's a GL question), but I'm getting a GL error in this project I'm working on:

If I change to sampler2DShadow, then the error disappears, but shadows don't actually work. The resources I've seen don't use sampler2DShadow so I'm confused, since this error can be "ignored" and shadows render properly. I didn't make this engine originally so I would like to understand this
It's the only GL error remaining. The original creator didn't have GL debugging enabled so they never knew about it

Question about the Vulkan APIs. Many of the capability queries are performed by first asking how many things there are, and then stackallocing a span, and asking for the things. Silk.NET is rather 1:1, but does there happen to be helpers for those cases? Or any other helpers like the Chains?

For the queries there isn't right now, because there is no way to return stackalloced memory, and we don't want performance to suffer.
There are chain helpers though, they are behind <RootStructure>. Chain<RootStructure>. Chain see https://github.com/dotnet/Silk.NET/tree/main/documentation%2Fstructure-chaining for details.

Okay, thanks. I kinda remembered the same thing after asking. Of the chains I knew of, hence why I mentioned them. But does there happen to be any other helpers beside them? I don't have the need for them, but would be nice to be aware of what's available, while I'm learning about Vulkan in general.

I guess extensions are also neatly packaged into classes, other then that we don't have anything quite that high level.

not directly silk related, but how would i get a DllImportDllImport asking for d3d11.dlld3d11.dll to pick up a native linux library version? ive tried naming the file libd3d11.dll.solibd3d11.dll.so d3d11.sod3d11.so libd3d11.solibd3d11.so d3d11.dlld3d11.dll and it always just says "failed to find native library 'd3d11.dll'
