I just compare how my straight fit jeans measure to theirs. Their leg opening is on the lower end of how mine measure. You can also compare them to how the original 501 (or the repros) measure:

from the measurements they are close to a standard straight fit, maybe slightly tapered

Is this denim jacket too short?
I would size up. Unless it's sanforized it's gonna shrink after a wash.

Spotting Fakes - Topic of the day 2/3/25
That's true, but of all the sweat shirts and hoodies I've handled, those were the thinnest and roughest on the inside. Honestly my cheap Adidas hoodie that I use for jogging feels better made.

I bought an Acne sweatshirt from LuxeSwap recently but it felt so thin and small that I suspect it's fake. The tags look like the real deal though.

Denim blazer fit check
In term of the tightness, I agree it would be better if it was an inch wider. I have a 38.5 in chest while the jacket is 43.7 in. In general how much wider should a blazer be than the chest?

Denim blazer fit check
Thanks for the feedback. I looked into the brand's website to see how it fits on their model. While they don't have the exact same blazer, several of their other blazers also have a similar length and button stance:

I also have a longer torso, so the distance to the crotch seam will be longer.

Looking for this jacket
There are a lot of great modern repros, for example Ginew and TCB. On the lower price end there's Bronson and Red Tornado.

I used to just wear puffer jackets but this winter I got a couple of vintage Pendleton wool jackets/coats. For pants I go with merino base layers and heavier jeans.

Need help making my closet not mid asf
I would add that thrifting/eBay isn't just for 2nd hand clothing. There are a lot of NWT clothing that are cheaper than you'd find on official stores, as long as you steer clear of brands that are faked often.

Thrifting isn't just about saving money. There are a lot of vintage pieces that aren't made today or not up to the same quality. For example people pay big bucks for vintage Carhartt Detroit jackets even though they make affordable ones today. Quality wool coats can be thrifted for 1/10 the price of new ones and those things will last a lifetime if you take care of it.

For me 12" rise is best for fit.
