DaVinci Resolve Studio missing codecs/file formats

Can't get it to work at all, no matter what I install inside of the distrobox container. It's not showing up in the export list. I use an AMD GPU....

Solution:

Researched the topic even further, studied DaVinci docs. Looks like AV1, H265 and H264 are unsupported by DaVinci Resolve on Linux if you have an AMD GPU, even on the paid Studio version. No such problems with an NVIDIA GPU. Will probably resort to using DNxHR with no further re-encoding, or set up a script that will re-encode it back to AV1. Oh well....

Line out not working with headphones plugged in on the front panel.

Hello, New Bazzite user, just switched from Windows yesterday Could anyone help finding out why my speakers that are plugged into the backside port of my motherboard only work if the front panel has no headset/other audio device connected? Ive switched to Line out when both are plugged in, but then there is no audio in my speakers, if i unplug the headset from the front, then it automatically defaults to Line out, but then works....

Hello, I am using bazzite on my steam deck. I was trying out a few things and needed to disable selinux to get them running. After re-enableing it, my steam deck won't change back to the gaming mode instead of this I get an login screen on boot that gets me to the desktop and from there I also can't change back. After disabling it again everything is fine. But it can't get enabled anymore.

HHD touch gesture on Gaming Mode is a bit wonky

Hey guys im using Legion Go and i just recently clean install the OS, i was been on bazzite 40 and 41 both are really great. But today im running with the version 42.20250809: Stable (F42.20250809) and i kinda annoyed how HHD touchscreen shortcut is unstable, this touch gesture is really great when playing Android games through waydroid since i dont have to bring with me the joystick while on the go. But now, while playing, i want to access steam side menu and steam overlay just by doing the side top or bottom gestures but it's kinda freezes and it won't come out. The thing is if i had HHD menu and overlay as touch shortcut they just pop up no problem....

Azahar 3DS emulator issues on latest Bazzite images

I have some issues with Azahar 3ds emulator on the latest Bazzite image. On my previous image (from July 20th), it runs very well. 5x upscaling, stable 30 fps (3ds native framerate), CPU around 50 - 60c. On current image, games run poorly, hardly hitting 30fps, and whats worse, CPU gets really hot, over 90c. I successfully rebased back to July 20th image, and it again works fine. I tried the next stable image from July 31st, and the issue seem to already exist. I didn't have time to test the other stable image between July 31st and current, August 9th image, but I will when I get back home today. Any idea what could be causing that? ...

Struggles with SteamVR

I'm struggling to get room setup to run. When I try, a blank window pops up for a second then closes. I've tried using OVR Advanced Settings to manipulate the floor level, but that only brings up an error code (see attached). I can get into games, but only with my head poking out of the floor while fully standing.

Issues with brave browser

probably unsolvable but i prefer to use brave and when i click, in order to actually complete the action and click the zone needed i need to position the cursor quite far above the actual icon. I reckon this is probably an issue on braves side but this doesnt happen to me on any other os, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Battle.net instantly crashes on Lutris

Hello, I installed Bazzite today in order to move away from Windows and hopefully get a bit more performance in certain games. I installed Battle.net through Lutris, but as soon as I open it, it crashes. I have tried running it through "wine-ge-8-26-x86_64", "wine-10.8-staging-tkg-ntsync-x86_64" and "wine-10.7-staging-tk-x86_64" but it's always the same. I have tried disabling Esync and Fsync too to no avail. Can someone help me out? Thanks!...

Do gnome extensions still break after every major update

I heard in the past, extensions in gnome break every year since that is how often gnome gets a major update. I am wondering if all my gnome extensions (I just have dash to dock and desktop icons gtk4 installed along with the ones that are baked into the bazzite image) will be completely broken on fedora 43 or whatever fedora update that happens during the fall?
