Can’t get into Desktop mode

Hey all! So I’m on bazzite-deck-nvidia and it loads into Steam Big Picture on boot perfectly. But when I try and go to desktop mode, I don’t get any display and my monitor tries to shut off....

Solution:

Sorry i forgot to mark this as solved. It was a simple display issue... I switched from HDMI to DP and then my display worked in desktop mode 🙂...

Cant find A11y bus? Unknown Terminal command for me.

Hello I might not be the greatest Linux Terminal user, but I do not recall installing something that would make this error appear. For context this error appears always after i try to install/search/list something through Terminal and once this Error shows up my browser (Floorp) shows me a box with the words "Floorp is already running, but is not responding" (even tho it works normally - i just have to close the box and like nothing would ever happened) Does anybody know what to do with it? My google search went nowhere so far. ...

Issues with WakeOnLan.

Like, for some reason, wake on lan is not enabled out of the box (which is strange, considering I need to turn on the "DIY gaming console" from the comfort of my couch, and without WoL that proves a challenge), but i've enabled it, with the help of ChatGPT (using

sudo ethtool -s eth0 wol g

sudo ethtool -s eth0 wol g

), so, all is perfect... EXCEPT! I noticed that after couple of days the WoL was once again disabled... ...

Need help with screen going black glitch with 9060XT?

Coming from years of using linux Mint because I bought a 9060XT recently and can't get it to work in Mint. I did see someone else have the same glitch and they solved it by turning off Async in KDE but I installed Bazzite-Gnome. I cant find how to turn it off. I'm playing Beyond Depth and Deceasedcraft and it works perfectly in windowed mode but if I try it fullscreen the screen goes black for about 2 seconds and the music stops. This happens randomly and very frequently i'd say on average every...

Solution:

Well I figured it out. I had to use a tool called dconf-editor and disabled the variable refresh rate which solved it.

Claw A8 not fully sleeping and losing battery fast

Installed the MSI Claw Beta version on my Claw A8 and while sleeping the back of the device, where the APU sits is slightly warm as if it was still running and I am losing battery fast. Went from 50% to 0 over night while idling in the Steam Menu....

(SOLVED) Dock not working after installing bazzite on ROG Ally

I'm using a UGREEN 9 in 1 Dock, it worked perfectly fine on different distros, but after i installed bazzite, nothing worked. Keyboards, mice, External displays, Nothing worked. Is there a way to fix this?

4k60 RGB 444 over HDMI?

Bazzite newbie here, with limited other Linux experience (mostly Ubuntu), and I'm having a heck of a time figuring this out. From my understanding, RGB 444 at 4k120hz is impossible over regular HDMI on an AMD card because of HDMI forum nonsense not allowing full HDMI 2.1 bandwidth on an open source driver. But I'm running 4k60, and I still don't seem to be getting FullRGB 444 with Bazzite, in either Desktop or Gaming mode (can't speak to other Linux distros. Ubuntu doesn't seem to give me any colourspace settings when running off a USB drive, and I don't want to install it again). At best it looks like YCbCr 4:2:2, which is better than 4:2:0, but still not great. In desktop mode changing the colorspace setting between Full and Limited does absolutely nothing (also turning on HDR in Desktop Mode doesn't turn HDR on. Turning it on in Gaming Mode does, so I'm forced to assume the Desktop Mode display settings are just fully broken). Doing a comparison of some images between my Windows boot and Bazzite desktop, the colours are definitely more crushed in Bazzite than in Windows, and the same bears out with actual chroma test images. It's hard to check test images under Gaming mode, but the colors seem to be even more crushed there. I've tried turning on 'force composite' in the developer options and that doesn't make much of a difference. Disabling colour management in developer options in gaming mode makes everything a lot darker under SDR, but that's not a great fix, and still doesn't match Windows. I've also tried dropping my resolution to 1080p, but nothing changes, colour wise. Am I missing something? I'm tempted to buy a DisplayPort->HDMI 2.1 adapter, but I feel like if things aren't working at 1080p then I'd most likely just be wasting my money....

Recently i have noticed two issues with bazzite. Input lag, when i move my mouse i can feel input lag. And bazzite takes 3+ seconds to detect/connect bluetooth devices/accessories when i wake them. Does anybody knows what is wrong?...

Ally X + NFS Heat = Freeze

I can't get this game to play for more than 5-10 minutes. Pretty much freezes before I can get a chance to drive. I have to hard restart every attempt. I have had this game play fine on a 41 build, and works fine on Windows. I tired rebasing to several different 42 builds. I also tried about 7 different Proton versions including GE. Reinstalled the game a couple times. I have 16 GB of VRAM. Not sure whats going on with this game. FF7 Remake runs fine and is a far more demanding game than NFS. How would I install a custom theme on Bazzite?

Good evening, I would like to install this theme: https://gitgud.io/wackyideas/aerothemeplasma, but it seems that DNF does not work and it recommends rpm-ostree (which I am unsure of if it will work or not.) Whats the easiest way to install this theme? I've only been using Bazzite for about a day, but was thinking about giving it a more personal flair.

Sound cracking in game mode - handheld using ALC245

Hello, im looking for help with cracking audio while in game mode. Even going through menues and the bazzite boot animation. Games are hit and miss with Audio issues. Desktop seems fine. Im using the Aokezoe A1X with an 8840u it has a Realtek ALC245 with harmmon drivers I believe. Any advise or trouble shooting tips would be much appreciated , I've tried so may things at this point and know what else to do.
