N100 / Hardware Acceleration

Hello everyone, I wanted to use the Bazzite operating system on an N100 Mini PC, exclusively for cloud gaming, as I like the menu/controller navigation. Unfortunately, I am experiencing an issue where the hardware acceleration of the N100 is not active on YouTube, Xcloud, and GeForce Now. I believe it is due to the Intel drivers or the Flatpaks. System settings are not saving.

I have a keyboard with QUERTZ and not QUERTY, so I change it to my language. That part works fine and dandy, but after I shutdown the computer and later on start it again. The settings are resetted and I need to change it again. How can I let the computer not reset my settings??? I consider this a bug and idk how to fix this. I have a KDE interface....

Problems with grub

Hi, I'm about to collapse because I wanted to update Windows 11 with Ventoy, so I deleted Windows 10 from the partitions, but an error appeared. Now Bazzite doesn't appear probably because grub is corrupted , and Windows is deleted. So what can I do? 🙁 I have Linux Mint live, Win10, Win11 (corrupted, I guess) and Bazzite (just the installer).

Winboat fails to install Bazzite DX

hey guys, i just rebased to bazzite dx and i cant seem to install winboat. It failed immediately before starting and doesnt even create the container. Previously, the logs said "Failed to get device strings for 2109:0815" and "Command failed: lsusb", but now the logs dont even get that far. They just say this now:

Wayland VS X11 for games?

Yo! So I´ve recently reinstalled Bazzite again after spending my last unbothered months with Windows 10 , and I've started to set things up again. And I´ve wanted to ask, what´s better for gaming now? Wayland or X11? Last time I had Bazzite installed (spring of 2024), I had to switch from Wayland to X11 because it was causing issues when playing LaD Ifinite Wealth, but some time has passed and i suppose Wayland did recieve some improvements (at least i think). So what would be better for both single and multiplayer gaming? (i´m worried a bit about input delay and such in CS2, DBD, Deadlock, etc.) I really look forward for your thoughts and tips. And I run a Ryzen 7 5800x and an RX 6600 w 32 GB RAM, if that's any deciding factor....

Dying Light The Beast freezes after a few minutes of gameplay

When trying to play Dying Light The Beast on my desktop, it will freeze when trying to leave the area you spawn into when loading your game (has happened in different areas). I also play on my Steam Deck and it doesn't seem to have this problem. Desktop specs are Gigabyte Nvidia 4080 Super, 9800X3D, 32 GB of RAM EXPO on. Bazzite is up to date. Weirdly this issue happened before but seemed to go away when I traveled a different direction than where it was freezing previously, but this no longer works as it freezes no matter where I travel now. When the game freezes I can still hear audio although it seems like just background music and the game isn't actually functioning behind the freeze. I have to force close it via the taskbar or Steam's "Stop" button. I've tried using Proton GE 10-20, 10.02 Beta, Experimental. I've tried Wayland and XWayland. I've tried fullscreen, borderless windowed, DLSS on and off, Nvidia Relfex on and off, deleting shader cache, still freezes in the same spot....

Error with EA App with the latest Steam Client update.

After the latest Steam client update I get this error when opening the EA app. The EA App itself is running as a non-steam game with Ge Proton 10-3. Clicking "OK" crashes the EA App. If I don't click OK, I can just focus on the EA App and run a game (NFS Unbound for example) and the game would run at 1-2 fps. Currently on the 42.20251011: Stable build. Reverting to 42.20251002 resolves the problem as it perhaps contains the older Steam Client build....

Second Screen makes FPS drop on main Monitor

Second screen causes FPS drops on main screen I’ve gotten no where with troubleshooting this so I’m looking for any possibilities on how to fix this. Currently on latest NVIDIA bazzite, with DUAL GPU with Intel Arc and 5090, (5090 on main monitor, intel Arc A750 second monitor) gaming performance is great and I’ve gotten some of my stuff setup. The issue I have is whenever anything with hardware acceleration (video feeds mostly or browser for example) on the second screen it absolutely kills my FPS on my main screen and makes the audio stutter sometimes and lag the PC pretty bad. Once I close whatever is using hardware acceleration there’s no issue with the PC at all. (Example: Overwatch 240fps, nothing open. If I open OBS or even Firefox on the second monitor, I got down to 110-170fps.) I have noticed that if I move whatever it is from the second monitor to the main monitor the lag goes away. ...

can't reset bazzite password

I am atempting reset my password by following this guide https://github.com/bazzite-org/docs.bazzite.gg/blob/main/src/Advanced/Reset_Forgotten_User_Password.md but after I "append init=/bin/bash to the line beginning with linux" and the press Ctrl+X I then see the line "Booting a command list" but rather than allow me to use the GRUB command line it just boots into bazzite

ROG Xbox Ally X controller Doesn't Work on Bazzite

I just got the new ROG Ally X and decided to test out Bazzite using the Deck ISO (the one for ROG Ally / Ally X). The system boots fine and everything seems to work. Bazzite randomly stops working

After having my PC turned on for a bit a lot of things just stop working. When I try to open Dolphin I get the error code below. Other symptoms include games not opening, discord crashing and webpages not loading. It doesn't always make all of these things happen, except for the warning when trying to open dolphin. I've had this happening for a couple weeks, but it seems to be happening more frequently. The past couple of days it has been happening at least once a day. Restarting my PC fixes the problem, but its getting really annoying having to restart whenever my PC decides to stop working. I'm using bazzite as a desktop OS, ryzen 5600x + 3060ti...
