Burn-through in ASA? What causes this failure?
My bridging fails. Holes in side walls (skirt). Also weird filament curling. Using stock ASA settings with pretty slow printing speed. 260C, 105 bed, 25% max cooling. Enclosed printer and preheat for 30 mins.
Flow Issues?
Recently my printer has been having a behavior that I would associate with flow. Any short movements and the printer behaves perfectly but as the movements get longer, it's as if the nozzle is not able to keep up the flow rate necessary to lay down the bead of plastic. A tiny print comes out just fine but larger prints that require long movements have massive issues.
I am printing usually at 200-250mm/s at 7000 mm/s/s with Overture PLA Professional. All filament is stored in a dehumidifier chamber.

Outside perimeter has reduces flow? seams between flow change look like crap
volumetric flow in first picture. What setting do i change to increase flow and experiment with this. (orca slicer)
I dont understand how flow can drop like this, while speed stays the same. (0,6 nozzle and speed 120 for outer perimeter and 200mm/s for infill)...
prime line keeps digging
The print works fine, however at the beginning the prime line keeps digging into my bed. First layers are perfect.
PETG build-up on my nozzle
Hi, does anyone know of any configuration to prevent plastic deposits from forming in the nozzle (build-up on my nozzle) that then fall into the print when printing with PETG?
I use Polimaker poly PETG
at 240C

layer fan off because there are a lot of pieces and they have enough time to cool down on their own....

I have done almost every calibration 5-10 times. Almost used the entire spool to calibrate. Everything was working great but on compounded curves like shown it started to show these random gaps on the surface.
The random line at the bottom it was because of me after pausing the machine
The only thing I can think of is the material. But why are they grouped in the same location? My EM should be good....

After updating to RatOS 2.1 Ellis' Pressure Advance stopped working and every time drops some errors. Can someone help with figuring this out?
Variations in Layer Lines Around Geometry Changes
This issue is most evident on the front hull of a benchy. Not the band of varied extrusion around the middle of the front hull.
I often get variations like this around layers where the print's geomtry changes significantly. In this case, the band starts where the deck of the ship begins printing, and ends where the bottom lip of the railing on the back of the ship ends.
This happens regardless of material, tuning flow, layer thickness, temperature etc....

Gaps in layers
I'm running mostly stock vCore 3.1: Rapido UHF (v1), LGX Lite (v1), RatOS 2.1 latest, etc. The most notable change is a CPAP fan but I had been running that before without issue. Using Overture PLA Black (doubt color matters much) and Orca slicer.
I've been trying to tune my printer to be faster and more accurate. I enabled performance mode and have been calibrating with that. I was about done with tuning and started seeing gaps in my walls in my non-calibration prints. I rolled back some of the more recent changes do see exactly what caused it but i was still having issues. I've gone pretty much back to the beginning and am still seeing gaps. Bed adhesion seems good. Doesn't look like it's under or over extruded for the rest of the print. I'm starting to wonder if it's my extruder at a hardware level. I've cleaned the gears and they weren't real dirty. Everything seems to be fine until it isn't and I'm not sure what is causing it to only gap sometimes. Obviously it's enough to at best cause ugly prints and at worst a total failure. So I need to get this sorted.
I've started printing PA towers to test apples-to-apples changes. I've removed the ptfe tube to the extrude (still has short extruder to hotend piece). I'm now pretty much to default settings in Orca and in the firmware and still having the issue. It's not even consistent when it starts. Most of the print looks great but at some point it starts to not supply enough filament....

Problems with smoothing the surface of ASA and ASA GF
Hello. I'm currently making measuring surfaces for shrinkage measurements. I'm using 3do ASA and ASA GF, Makita Blue. I'm printing with a Minion with an Orbiter, Rapido 2plus uhf, cht bimetall volcano 0.4 combo in a heated case. But it's only heated up to start with and then no more, I need a controller for that. Strangely, it only smooths the corners and then it looks as if material has been scraped off. Is the object shrinking because I'm not reheating it or do I have too little flow to smooth it with the cht? What could be wrong? Please help.

TPU Infill Foam style Prints rapidly get worse in latter half of a print
I've been trying to test out a TPU "foam" style by printing objects without walls and just infill. Unfortunately I can't seem to dial in the right settings for it. They consistently start to fail around the second half of the print and I'm unsure why. I've tried multiple temps and cooling levels but it's pretty consistently failing within the top half of the test print.
Printed on a qidi xmax 3, no walls, 50mm/s, .2mm layer height
220c first layer 230 after, 10% cooling max with 50% on overhangs....
what causes these rippled lines?
My VC3-500 has a Duet 3 6HC. I have 9 x 9 mesh BL. Max error is like 0.2mm. I have an issues with curves. Especially large ones printed fast. The extruder makes a sound almost as if it’s stuttering.
Print acceleration is 2500mm/sec3.
Rest are:
M201 X10k Y10k Z100 E5k (mm/sec)...
Minion in Heated Chamber, Asa Problems with Edges
Hello friends. I have a minion with orbiter, rapido 2 uhf plus and cht nozzle in a heated chamber to print parts for the vc4 from 3do Asa. I had to set the drivers to cooled (no problem because there is a large fan in the case) and now it runs without losing steps. Unfortunately my corner design is a disaster. Even the pa tower is ugly everywhere and it's not pa's fault. Is the jerk not right or what do I have to adjust? Please help:)
Uneven Extrusion on Infill
Running into some uneven extrusions, especially on infill. I’ve tried lowering speed, tuning or disabling pressure advance, temp tuning, retraction tuning, and flow tuning, and always the same result. Using rectilinear infill for easier visualizing, looks like the infill lines are uneven/not uniform
starts perfect then goes to crap about 4th layer
im trying to print a proto type part ive tried abs, asa, and now pla-cf and all of them keep doing the same thing when it gets to this point. starts great nice in smooth then looks like bird shit piled on.
ratrig 500 ratos 2.1, rapido hf, ratrig default settings in orca slicer. *update tried another print and it works fine so must be slicer settings doing it...
