Z-Offset being ignored

My printer (VC4) seems to be ignoring z-offset adjustments. I even checked the reported coords and the Z doesn't change (besides tiny adjustments from ABL) when I send e.g. SET_GCODE_OFFSET Z_ADJUST=-0.01 MOVE=1. I also checked what happens when I save the offset afterwards and run another print and it looks like it’s ignored as well. This results in my first layer being too low....

Part cooling fan issues after printer upgrade

I just finished my 3.1 upgrade. Also added EBB42 and Beacon. I'm still in the commissioning phase but I suspect that my part cooling fan is not working. I'm not printing yet, but when I operate the fan slider in the UI Miscellaneous section, nothing happens. But that should start the fan - right? I wired my Nidec fan according to the build guides (I beleive, at least). Red and Black are going to PA8 on my Octopus Pro 446. Blue is going to PA1 on the EBB42....

Layer shift for just one layer and then back again?

Any idea what could cause a layer shift in X only for one layer, and then go back to normal? VC4-300

Solution:

I had similar issue at the begining and it was solved by turning on Performence Mode when configuring the printer.

Printer crashes when heating bed

I feel like there are deeper underlying problems, but long story short my printer will shut off whenever I tell the bed to heat up. My vcore 3.1 worked flawlessly until last week. I'll post the long version of the story below in case the context helps. My printer was working perfectly and then one day it started jittering when making movements along the X axis, and only X axis. Imagine ringing but so intense you can feel the ridges, and it made a noise like it was digging into the plastic. I figured the linear rails needed some greasing up and decided to take it apart and apply grease to the rails. While I had it dissasembled I decided to install the new orbiter v2 extruder onto the hotend. Then when I went to turn on the printer moonraker had trouble connecting to klipper. It could connect from mainsail to moonraker, but not from moonraker to klipper. I figured I would reinstall ratOS and it kind of worked, but now whenever I heat the bed to PID calibrate the whole printer shuts down after 5 seconds. The fuse is intact and I can turn it back on by flicking the power switch, but I can never turn on the bed heater. Also at some point in this ordeal the parts cooling fan died. I can plug in a different fan and it works but the original fan will not work. I've replaced the raspberry pi and the power supply and still no luck. I also ordered a new control board but it seems to be stuck in USPS purgatory. I was certain it was a bad power supply issue but now I don't know, so any lead is appreciated....

Clogging issues with Revo hotend

Small prints/parts are fine. But when i go into bigger more complex prints it clogs after some minutes. what ive tried: Ive lowered the volumetric rate in orca slicer to 14 no difference. ive replaced the fan first had a noctua fan. PAUSE does not park, only raises Z height

Upgraded a vcore 3.1 with the toolhead 1.0 and added a beacon probe. Everything works fine except for when I hit pause. The print pauses and lowers the bed but it doesn't park. I get a console error that says:

Unable to parse move 'G0 X250.0 Y F36000.0'

Printer going totally wrong while Z-Tilt

Hey Guys, I set up my Vcore 3.1 500 englosed from stock, as I got some problems beforehand. I used RatOs 2.1, followed the instructions to first update everything (so its on RC3 now), did the setup wizard, added a few small things from my previous setups (nothing thats connected to the motion systems, just light, the command for the fan and a additional temperatur probe). I did the beacon_calibrate and just wanted to start my first print so far and X/Y/Z-Homing was totally fine, but as soon as it started the z-tilt the whole motion of the extruder was completely off and also making noices I never heared from a printer before! Belts shifting and chewing up the edges

Hello everyone, thanks in advance for any help and suggestions. I have had my V-core 3.1 for a couple of years now, but recently the belts began to shift up during printing and then binding up the motors causing massive layer shifts. the first time i discovered it, it had been happening for awhile but i missed it. I re-belted my printer and now its happening again, but its only been a couple of months. This time its on the other belt on the other side of the printer. I can see it starting to chew up the belt and have watched it shift and bind during homing, and can pretty regularly get it to happen again. Does anyone know why this might be happening and how i can fix it? Thanks!...

Lost communication with MCU 'toolboard_t0'

I'm running VC4 500 with a Orbitool board. Everything else is pretty much stock other than a 24v fan to the toolboard instead of the 4 wire fan back to the MB. I've tried multiple toolboards, USB pcbs, and cables. (I ordered 3, so I had 1 for IDEX and a spare) It seems to work fine for 4 or 5 prints, then I get 3ish hours into a print and it shuts down due to "Lost communication with MCU 'toolboard_t0'" Then it does it every time I try to print something until I switch out the board or cable. Then it will work fine for 4 or 5 prints. I'm really stumped on this. All the connectors are stock, I didn't crimp anything. I've switched out previously removed boards and cables, and it will still print 4 or 5 prints without issue.

Problem/Errors: Commissioning Guide | Step 2 - Build plate prep.

Hi Folks, pretty new to Klipper based 3D Printing, build my V-Core 4 300mm and now i trying to follow all the Steps from the Commissioning Guide. I always get Errors when trying to use the Command "BEACON_RATOS_CALIBRATE", i just can't get past it. Wanted to askif somebody has a clue what i can try to solve it, for info i tried with RC2 and upgraded to RC3, made no changes to any config at this moment....

BLtouch deploying but not triggering

Hi, i tried to verify the BLtouch as required in the initial config. The wiring should be correct for the Octopus 1.1: Brown-Red-Yellow-Black-White I buzzed them trough and they all have connection, the connector is the wrong type (JST-XH instead of Futaba servo connectors), because i thought it would go on the connector directly to its side. But the BTT product wiki page shows that the free standing pins are the correct position. ...

Vcore 3.1 500mm Clogs constantly Revo Voron.

I switched a couple of months ago to a revo voron because I really did not like the rapido. I changed the volumetric max rate to 13 in orcaslicer. and it printed fine no clogs or whatever. But now it clogs or maybe its still cloged. I tried cleaning it I removed some gunk. dissambled the hotend. checked bowden tupe inside the eva . everything is clear. I checked the rotation distance. I print fairly slow. i added my speed settings ....

Temperature issues V-Core 3

I'm having temperature issues that turn the printer off. During startup the nozzle temperature tends to turn the system off as it's exhibiting over +330 C. Has anyone encountered this?

[Exclude Object] Randomly Stopped

I finally got around to upgrading to RatOS 2.1. I already put a few prints in and used Exclude Objects just fine. However, the option is no longer there. I have no idea what changed. I noticed in the moonraker file that’s read only that it’s set to false, but I have true in my overrides. I even tried putting the file manager section in the moonraker .cfg in the root directory with no luck. ...
