Escape from Monkey Island (Amazon) cannot find files

Hello everyone! I am new here (and new using Discord) so I hope I'm doing this right (if not, please excuse me and kindly tell me how to improve). I have installed the Amazon version of Escape from Monkey Island that was free many months ago usign the Heroic launcher on my Intel Mac (I just clicked on "Install" and agree to every default option). When I click Play, the game never loads and I only get a window titlted "Could not find any files" with the text "Please make sure that the game is properly installed and that the CD is in your drive". I've search the web for that error and some people say it is solved by installing the files directly to the C: drive, but I don't know how to do that on Heroic. So, I kindly request help....

Refuses to load past 'Play now' on Mac M2

Hi, I've been trying to open Hogwarts Legacy on my mac and whenever i press 'launch' it takes me to 'play now' and when i tap it, it says 'launching' before going back to right back to 'launch' , im really new to GPTK and windows layers

Xbox Controller in Heroic Launcher on Steam Deck

I am very often using my steam deck docked on my tv with my xbox controller. But when i open Heroic game launcher, i cannot easily navigate the UI. it is always skipping one out of two button. if i am on library and go down, it will go to setting, skipping stores, then manage accounts skipping download etc... it does this in every option and menu including the library and the same thing happen if i use the joystick or the d-pad. i have noticed this since a couple of version and update to 2.11.0 today, and the problem is still there. Steam Deck latest stable version Heroic 2.11.0...

Rogue Company: Playing... Nothing

Two problems: 1st, is I tried to launch a game, it said it was running, but it wasn't. 2nd, after I updated everything from Flat, I try to launch a game, it flashes "Playing", then dies. I'm on Linux Mint 21.2 I have included both relevant logs, in proper order....

Does Steam alter user document location?

Hello, I finally got some time to play my Witcher 2. I have noticed a strange behavior. In order to play the game with Steam controller, I have to run it via Steam (added via heroi to Steam). When I launch the game via Steam, I can't import the savegame from W1 (looked into prefix and saw that documents are symlinked to their user folder equivalent, so I put the W1 folder there. But when I start the game via Heroic without steam, it does see the savegame and I am able to load it: (shot one - Steam - unable to load save, shot two - no steam - load save)...

a plague tale: innocence crashes and closes on the 'press any key' screen

when i press play, it opens up in fullscreen and shows starting credits but simply closes when i press a key to continue. using whisky didn't help, and i've tried it on heroic with Wine-Stable-8.0.1 and Wine-Devel-9.0-rc3 (with the gptk modification on wine-devel). any help will be appreciated. game log file attached.

Heroic Creates /home/USER/Games/Heroic Directory on Launch Even When Using a Different Directory

There is no issue in Heroics function, so this is just an annoyance. I changed the default install path, wine prefix path, and those paths for already installed games into a different directory, and Heroic properly installs them there, but it continues to create the default directory despite not using it whatsoever. Satisfactory will not launch on MacOS

DX12 is not supported on your system. Try running without -dx12 or -d3d12 line argument.

Arch linux. Everything needed from this article - https://github.com/lutris/docs/blob/master/InstallingDrivers.md#arch--manjaro--other-arch-linux-derivatives is installed. Trying to launch game with -d3d12 argument.

installed game not showing as installed

I installed Guardians of the Galaxy through the Epic launcher. its not showing up as installed on Heroic. it does appear in the library but asks to install. is it because it uses Denuvo DRM? or a bug

World War Z Install on Zorin OS [Ubuntu]

Hello everyone, just making this post using info from @Baldog and receiving help from @Allora thanks to everyone else involved.. Installation, for me, was a simple as installing using steam proton [ge-proton8-25], no other settings were changed in initial install.. continuing from there, I employed Baldogs advice from a past post https://discord.com/channels/812703221789097985/818939754245652490/1007611460089827398 and enabled MangoHud through variables. They also seemed to enable Vulkan through the in-game settings, I did this as well due to it usually being the more optimal render choice in Linux. Lastly, I enabled steam runtime and eac runtime, nothing else was changed. The game is running perfect and multiplayer works as well. A few side notes is that I am using nvidia which is in turn using stable and tested drivers installed through my OS repository, EOS is installed (through the core app settings) and enabled in the games config (click on game image and there will be three dots in the upper right hand corner > enable EOS, thanks @Allora)and most of my apps are flatpak and I'm running the latest stable version of my OS.. Zorin by default is set up for people coming over from Windows so there may be conflicts if you are using deb, snaps, out of date repositories etc......
