Wondering if Heroic can recognise files of previously downloaded games.

So I just did a clean install of Windows and reinstalled Heroic as it was on my C Drive before (I believe as I can't find it elsewhere on my PC), but I had Fortnite installed on a separate drive for games, and the files are still there. Is there a way to get Heroic to recognise those files, or should I delete them and just do a clean install of it? I don't mind if I have to, I just want to check if I can avoid it is all.

Heroic Games Doesn't Launch The Games. This is my last hope.

Hello, I am kinda a stranger to this place but they said Discord might help me, so here I am. I am on Linux Mint. Using a laptop that has iGpu and dGpu. I download a game, click the play button, it says it's starting and boom, nothing happens. No error, no sound. I've tried to reinstall the Launcher, reinstalling the Nvidia drivers, downgradig the drivers, configuring settings... nothing changed, then I changed some settings to check if it might magically work. Nothing....

neverwinter: Unable to start game client: client quit unexpectedly

Hi all, I am totally new to Heroic. I'm playing to Epic Games through the Heroic Games Launcher under macOS (Sequoia 15.2) on a M4Pro platform (12CPU/16 GPU). When I try to launch the game (after it patched successfully) I get the following error: "Unable to start game client: client quit unexpectedly". I have tried only another game (Rise of the Tomb Raider" and it works ok. I am pretty sure I am doing something wrong, your help is welcome 🙂...

Cat Quest II (gog)

i thought the point of UMU is that it comes with all the dependencies, so I'm confused as to why I'm getting a kernel32.dll error with Cat Quest II I've already deleted the prefix and repaired the game...

'GOG login failed to parse std output from gogdl' (unable to login through OG)

Behaviour: After logging in through the GOG website wrapper in Heroic, login page is revealed again and GOG shows as not logged in. Attempting to access GOG library confirms that I am not logged in. Expected Behaviour: I log in to GOG and my account shows up in Heroic, and my library becomes accessible. Log attached. Attempted solutions: Creating exceptions for both Heroic's roaming appdata and gogdl's location (local appdata) in Windows Security, then making a fresh install of Heroic (including deleting said appdata). No other antiviruses used....

Blade of Darkness failed to install

Hello, I tried to install my GOG copy of Blade of Darkness today but the download sat doing nothing for a long time, I tried to pause and restart the install but when I clicked the button nothing happened. I closed and relaunched heroic and tried to reinstall the game but I keep instantly getting a 'failed to install' notification after the 'installation started' and 'galaxy common redistributables' notifications. Part of the game was installed the first time so I deleted it thinking that maybe it was interfering with the install, I have restarted Heroic and I have cleared the Heroic cache but none of these things fixed the issue. I have attached my Heroic log and can do the GOG one too if needed. I do have some other GOG games installed and working great so I haven't uninstalled and reinstalled Heroic....

Shadow of War failing to launch

Hi all, new to asking for support in this way so I'll try to be as brief as possible: I installed Shadow of War on my Steam Deck via Heroic and it fails to launch whenever I try, both from desktop mode and from gaming mode. I have tried using several Wine versions to launch the game, including Wine-GE-Proton7-43, Experimental, and 8.0....

Windows client: Login to GOG and Amazon doesn't work

Unlike the Linux client, when using the Windows client, the login only works for Epic, but not the other two stores Gog and Amazon. Error: spawn powershell ENOENT

I installed Heroic and it was all fine, then uninstalled and reinstalled it at some point, now getting this error, and can't seem to access GoG library, only Epic. I definitely have Powershell installed, just launched it. I'm posting a log and a screenshot of my environment variables if that helps.

Alan Wake 2: unable to use DLSS with rtx 4060

I have recently switched to arch linux on my desktop as well. It has an AMD 5800x3d and an NVIDIA RTX 4060 that I used to play alan wake 2 on when it had windows installed on it running with 80 fps with DLSS. Now it runs at 10-20 fps without letting me turn on DLSS.
