Proton download fails

I try to install some version of Proton but the download always fails, I've tried several versions of Proton and it's the same. A few days ago I had the same problem but after several attempts I installed it but it doesn't appear in the game configuration so I can't play the same way. the game in question is Titan Souls and I bought it on gog

Problem launching games

hello. I have problem. I have got installeg Heroic and whiskey programs on my mac. I installed my games from GOG - heroes 3 complete and warrior kings, and it do not work after clicking play. What i can do?

Turmoil needs Firefox?

When I launch Turmoil it is just a white screen, then it pops up a message that reads "Your Firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible." I click okay, and then I sit on a white screen. I have tried loading it offline, at which point I'm told I need to be online to play even in single player, and then the game closes down. And Discord does not want me asking or uploading the log....

Unable to launch Hogwarts Legacy

Hey, all! I'm 100% new to linux gaming and the heroic games launcher. I got Hogwarts Legacy on sale from Epic Games and it is not launching at all. I keep getting a "Microsoft Runtime C++" error on Heroic. I tried adding it to steam and running it with Proton, no luck there either. I already did some googling and found that it might be a vcrun issue, so now winetricks in Heroic has vcrun2019 installed, but I'm not sure how to update it to vcrun2022 or if that's even the issue at all. I tried other tinkering with selecting different Proton options, but nothing seems to work....

Boti: Byteland Overclocked (GOG) → Fatal Error with Wine/Proton despite Gold compatibility

I love Heroic Game Launcher, it works with almost every game on Linux. In this case, it always shows an unhelpful message box only saying "Fatal Error", no matter what I try (Wine Staging, Wine-GE-latest, Proton-GE-latest, Steam Runtime using UMU), also in Lutris. Do I miss something? OpenVR, Vulkan Extensions? I looked over wine config and winetricks but changing it did not help. I am surprised because ProtonDB gives it Gold proton compatibility status, with one comment saying to successfully run it on Arch (I am using Garuda Linux which is Arch-based). All Wine Dependencies are up to date....

Rocket League Freezing on Macbook Pro M3 Pro After Settings Change

Hi. I downloaded Heroic to play RL on my Macbook Pro M3 Pro seven days ago. Last night, I tweaked one of the VIDEO settings within the game (I enabled Anti-Aliasing on FXAA Low) and the game ran fine. However, now, a day later, I am unable to modify any settings within the game or actually play the game without it freezing. I have the overlay enabled on my game, and it just stops updating itself in realtime the second I change a setting or try to play, and I need to force quit the game. The only setting I had modified prior to the game breaking was enabling the FXAA Low Anti-Aliasing. Since the freezing has happened, I have restarted my machine, tried to launch again - still froze. Uninstalled the game and associated files, re-installed, tried to launch again - still froze. Restarted the computer, set everything back to Default within the in-game settings, re-launched, and it still froze. It appears to be an excessive GPU error? Which is weird, because when I started playing seven days ago, the game defaulted to the highest quality for every video setting and it ran at 75FPS like a charm....

Gog Log In Library

I've recently got a new gaming computer with Geforce RTX and have been setting things up with it, such as Heroic and my accounts on Amazon, Epic, and Gog. However for some reason no matter what I do to log into Gog within Heroic, my library within Gog doesn't show up. Something that never happened with Amazon or Epic, is there something I could do to fix this problem? (P.S. despite the launcher saying that I need to log in through managed accounts, the store shows me logged in anyway in the image provided)...

Games take a long time to launch

As the title says games take a long time to launch ~2 minutes stuck on "Launching", It's not just on heroic, it happens on steam too though lutris is not affected, I have tried the solution in <#1179901028380967052> where i've set my dns in network manager to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 and in my router's settings too to no avail, checking the logs for both steam and heroic show the same thing, it says esync and fsync are running then goes silent for 2 minutes and then the game finally launches, I know it's something to do with the networking since if i disconnect from the internet the issue vanishes and games launch instantly on both heroic and steam. Any help is appreciated....

Stuck on log in screen! (steam deck)

App gets stuck on "logging in" screen after logging into my Epic Games acc. After like 30s, it boots itself back to the log in page. When using the alt method, it comes up as an error. Reinstalling, factory resetting (yes im that desperate) doesn't fix the issue. am i the only one? ...

Suddenly unable to run games using UMU for past couple of hours

Wine-GE still works. UMU had been fine all day then suddenly won't launch anything, even though I've not performed updates of any sort. It shows "Playing" then reverts back to normal with no error dialog.

Games fail to launch if umu-launcher is enabled

Trying to launch any game with umu-launcher enabled in advanced settings. Attached is an example log of trying to launch a game, with the problematic line being steam-runtime-launch-client[428]: E: Unable to convert /app fd 16 into path: different file inside and outside sandbox. Having the same issue on two different PCs, both running Arch. I've uninstalled the system umu-launcher just to make sure that wasn't interfering but got the same result.
