Witcher 3 (GOG) won't launch from custom install path.

Running the game from the default install (either installed here or moved here from another location) path works fine. Moving the game or installing it on a custom directory does not. I run the flatpack version of hgl and everything is set up correctly. Other games work using the same custom parent folder. I also have my steam games on the same partition. So, I press play in hgl and the redlauncher runs. From there I press play and hgl shows "playing". I get no image and no witcher 3 application or process is running according to system monitor. ...

Warcraft II Battle.net Edition Mac M1 Sound

Hi all, for this game that seems to get basically 5 star performance for most people, mine comes up with choppy audio. I've tried changing the Audio settings to be different sample rates and MacOS does not seem to have bit depth options any more. I came to remember that there is usually a sound card setup in these older DOS games and in this case I did find confirmation of that, but haven't actually found the exe yet. My question is, with Heroic, how would I actually set game settings? Is there a way of running the setup inside the bottle so to speak? I can see how to do it on Whisky, but not on Heroic. Thanks....

How to start a game with Rosetta in HGL

When I try to start a MacOS native install of a Game from HGL on my M3 silicon Apple device it doesn't seem to use Rosetta by default and I lack a way to make it. E.g. when I start a corresponding installation of NORCO the starting process immediately stops at load screen and doesn't go on ever again. While the same happens when I start the game directly via the Filemanager without HGL the game starts perfectly after checking the Rosetta-box in the Informations-Window of NORCO.app. Also starting the game via Terminal arch -x86_64 ./Games/Heroic/NORCO.app/Contents/MacOS/norco works fine....

Afrika Korps vs desert rats crashes on startup

Hey, I know I just asked for help with a different game, but I've been put in the mood to experiment with Wine now, and sincethis is a fairly niche old game that has very little information online so I figured it'd be good to get some up. After installing it the game won't boot at all...It seems to be missing some .dll files, and failing to modify the windows registry? I would love some advice on how to deal with this 🙂 I've already manually installed wine, and updated it to make sure it wasn't broken, but that seems to not have helped......

Steam launch commands for NFS: MW (2005)

I am trying to launch said game with steam commands from heroic. There is a wide-screen mod that requires an override to work properly. Can I add steam commands to heroic so it launches with the override in steam? Worst case I can just add as a non steam game, but I'd like to have my games all in one place...

Steam doesn't see games from EGS after launching them

I just switched from EGS to using Heroic for EGS games on my Windows machine. I expected everything to work like it does on a Steam Deck. When I launch a game that's been added to Steam by Heroic on my Steam Deck, Steam features like Game Recording and Steam Input work like normal. When I try to add games on Windows, Steam doesn't record anything and doesn't show me as playing that game. Why?...

worms forts under siege settings won't save

Hey there! As the title mentions, i'm trying to change the settings in worms under siege, which is done via a separate .exe for the options menu, but when I try to save the changes, I get this error message. I don't get this error when installing the game via Lutris, but I'd still like to solve the issue when playing trough heroic......

Football Manager Freeze instantly in the main menu

I'm installing Football Manager 2024 with Epic but it will freeze instantly. I thought this could be solved by removing the loading screen while it helped me bypass the loading scren. For context: I was messing around with Rocket League video settings. Everything was working fine until I changed the anti-aliasing to (I think) the last option, and then my screen jittered a bit (saw some pink sections on the menu bar), and since then every change of the Rocket League video settings ends in a permanent freeze, and I also can't start free play — it freezes at the loading screen....

Modern GOG Games crash before Main Title screen when launching

Hi, all, I'm new to using Linux in general and wanted to test gaming a bit, especially with GOG games since I have a good amount there, along with Steam. For some reason I haven't been able to launch modern games at all. I tried Mint and now I'm with Ubuntu with the same issue. I even tested a spare laptop I have and same issues there; the problem seems to be with modern games since I tried Roller Coaster Tycoon and that one ran without any issues at all. I then tried Two Point Hospital and Disco Elysium and both crash just after opening but before getting to the Main Menu (both get to the "Loading..." screen). For both, the log file says that it is an issue with the Haswell Vulkan being incomplete but I tried reinstalling the mesa drivers and i386 architecture but still nothing. I attached both log file for those games; any help I can get would be appreciated it since I am just going over what I've been able to find online, so far....
