1.16.5 Singlep. Crashing when changing Distance
Playing an SP world on 1.16.5. Only other mod I have besides this one is OptiFine. But when I change the value the game instantly crashes. I am trying to put it to 256. Any fixes?

Is this normal on a multiplayer server?
So im using 2.0.2 DH fabric (1.20.1) build on my multiplayer server. I've use it on a single player before and it works just fine before. But now the problem is that it does not render anything past my render distance (12 on server side). Is this suppose to happen? I thought it was suppose to load the LODs all around me as it did on single player? Let me know any suggestions please. thanks!
Solution:
I thought DH would just generate new LODs for new worlds/servers as I joinit cant "generate" but it can save what you already discovered. basically you have to run around to render stuff and it should work. the guy above told you to import the singleplayer world lods into the server lods, and this would make it so that assuming the singleplayer world and multiplayer world are the same youll get all the lods already rendered without needing to run around...

Vertical render / quality
Is there any way to control how far down DH will render? Or there is no point and it doesn't affect performance at all? Also is it possible to render the ground underwater somehow? Or the only solution is to reduce transparency in shaders
Solution:
there is point to setting vertical quality. while everything is saved, only as many vertical "blocks" are rendered at a time
levv vertical quality, less seperate triangles to render...

DH doesn't work
I have installed Iris and fabric To run DH but it does not work.
Here is some data:

Strange holes
Is it supposed to look like this? Tried with and without additional mods, change settings, and allocate more RAM, nothing changes.
Pre-generated world with Chunky (6000, 6000) at the beginning everything was fine, now these holes appear.
Tried waiting 10 minutes and 30 minutes, nothing changes....

so start again, without that cashe or C2ME and let DH load from file on it's own pace

World loads old DH config into new version.
I updated my DH to the shader compatibility version and i got a problem because my old world loads old config into DH and i can't change some settings inside DH config. Is there any file that i can delete to make it work properly?

Can i use complementary unbound shader with iris and distant horizon beta in 1.20.1 fabric ?
DH doesn't load chunks on server
hi, i have a server and its world file and i loaded the world file in singleplayer to generate the chunks, and copied the sqlite file over to server_data for that server and it still relies on chunks i generated in the server earlier (manually). using simply optimized modpack + iris, sodium, indium and chunky (serverside)

Mod barely changes render distance
I recently installed this mod, it is the only mod I currently have installed. The only thing that changes when I turn on the mod is a very small "gap" of chunks that renders in. I tried it on 19.x and 20.x and have the same issue on both. I reinstalled minecraft and distnat horizons that dooes not change anything.

Low GPU and CPU with low framerate.
Low GPU and CPU with low framerate. My hardware doesn't seem to be used entirely. Maybe its the ram usage, I'm not sure what the problem is? Also performance doesn't not change when shaders are on or off. Over time the fps drops lower and lower start from 50 then going down to two. Changing the Gpu upload method resets the performance but it goes back to really low fps.

I added 8gb and that fixed my performance thank you

can't use literarily any shaders
i might just be going blind but could someone pass me a link to a version of shaders, can be any shaders which are compatible with DH and iris? i've seen people use them but i've went through the most popular latest ones and no matter what i do i get this popup every single time

glitched textures at far distances.
for some reason the textures at a far distance isnt rendering properly, you can see the glitched purple textures at that far range.

Water and foliage appear as gray
So the foliage and water in some of the LOD chunks appear as gray. ik that in the game files that these files are gray but I dont know why they are gray here, I am running a good amount of mods but its vanila blocks that are affected by this

Need help fixing janky terrain generation on DH 2.0.2 dev version
I plan on setting up shaders eventually using Optifine + Forge but could use some help improving performance first, and fixing the janky generation. The screenshot shows my PC specs, I think they're pretty good, but also you can see how the terrain doesn't generate fully. I've flown over multiple times with CPU usage set to max and it still refuses to load. I reloaded the save which fixed the FPS mostly and most of the ground generated, but the same spots still weren't loading. Is this just an i...

complimentaryreimagined shaders not working with lod
im using the fork of complimentaryreimagined that's supposed to be compatible with distanthorizons and i have the blending turned on in the compability settings but it's still not working, anyone have a fix?

Hi, i have stuttering and my processor goes to 90-80% of use, i put the view distance on 16 chunks in the basic minecraft config and i'm playing with terraforger mod, can i optimize the mod? or solve the problem somehow?

Hello, I've mostly managed to fix any issues with my "DH" by reading the FaQ, But ultimately my FPS has been suffering. (were talking below 20fps) Really no setting I do in "DH" Or minecraft changes much.
Components
CPU: I9-14900KF
Ram: 48gb (I have allocated 24 for minecraft and this mod)
GPU: RTX 3090 24gb Vram...
Minecraft loads, displays title screen for a second, then crashes
I have been trying to fix this all day but to no avail. I've disabled all mods except for DH so I know it's not an incompatibility issue. I also scoured both the FAQ channels and help forums for answers but nothing helped. I tried deleting my config file, updating my drviers, using different versions of Forge (both for 1.20.1), and installing both versions of the mod listed on curseforge. Like the title says, I boot up like normal and the Minecraft title screen pops up for a second or two but immediately crashes with exit code 6.
