Reinstall on Synology. Been working with ChatGPT to get this to work... it just won't work. HELP!

I have been trying to get this to work all day and I keep getting close but this just cannot be fixed. I have tried every suggestion given to me over 6 hours. Do you have any idea? Thanks!

Upload all photos, including duplicates

Hi! I often take a very large amount of photos, that look very similar to each other, to evaluate them later on the desktop. How can I deactivate the duplicate recognition in the App?

Can't get `immich-server` container to run unfortunately..

Heya guys.. I can't get Immich to work :/ I am on TrueNAS but has the Dockge app installed to manage all my Docker stuff through that.. As you can see on the screenshot, I get some password authentication Postgres error.. I have tried a couple of times to delete the whole stack and also the data in the dataset that the database is mounted to - also deleting the volumes that is being created, so I am pretty lost now. Any recommendations to get up and running? 🙂...

Mobile app cannot share via link

So I wanted to send a video via mobile app to messenger. The result was that video cannot be sent. I was looking for a way to send link instead but seems like this is possible only via web UI?

iOS app vs. Web sync problem : thumbnail for deleted photos

hello all. I've got app on ios (last version, last version 1.132.3 on server also). When app is running, if I add or delete a photo on web client (on a macbook for example), everything's fine, the new photo added is instantly shown on the app, or the deleted one disapeared. Fine. BUT if the app is off when I delete a photo thru web application, and then I run the app, photo thumbnail is still here. If i clic on it, white screen, no photo big format is shown (it's ok, the photo has been deleted). But why is the thumbnail still here ? Please note that if I add a photo using the web interface while the app is off, once I open the app, the new photo is there (thumbnail is here). So it looks like sync is ok, but not for deleted pictures ? thank you for your help...

Immich app android first set up activated back up for new pic

Hello every one i just set up immich app on android phone galaxy 25 ultra for first time and i would like to back up only new picture . But i can t see this option . Soon as i try to select the folder camera he want upload all the picture inside . Any idea please ? Thanks...

have to force quit to be able to open app

On my phone, often times when I open app (1.132.3 b197) it just shows logo on (almost) black background indefinetly. The only way to open the app is to find it in running apps and force close it, then I can actually open it. Also, maybe unrelated, but possibly related: Today I woke up to my phone on charger being very warm (hours after it finished charging). I noticed that Immich was running the task to scan&refresh gallery items every 5 seconds (the notification appeared every 5 sec for half a sec). I tried open Immich app but again the same stuck-on-logo situation. I force closed app, opened it, it opened normally, and after 5 minutes the phone was cool. The app has all the permissions it wanted, the battery optimization "unrestricted" etc. Phone was on charger and wifi, and it was set to start syncing after 5 sec, so I guess it never finished and was restarting whole night....

Storage Template enabled, files still uploaded to upload folder

I believe this started happening after I moved immich to another machine. I believe I followed the migration process properly and everything else seems to be working. When I upload new photos, they are put into the upload folder instead of the library folder even with my storage template enabled. I don't see any errors in the verbose logs. I've tried disabling/enabling storage template as well as changing the template. Still not being used. Also, the newly uploaded photos, which are put into the upload folder, get "error loading image"...

Huge update, DB upgrade gives errors

I've been running Immich for quite a while now without issues, but I've been unable to keep up with the updates due to reasons. I'm running on a Kubernetes cluster and just migrated the database to cnpg using this (since the postgres subchart is being deprecated). Immich iOS app ; Photos wrong date( 1 day later)

So since a while, some photos are showing incorrect dates. I have taken one example, the photo is made on saturday 17th may and showing in Immich on 18th may. The only thing i can find it '' photo modified at 19 may'', but i did not do anything with the photo yesterday. The weird thing is, when i check my icloud Photos gallery app, it isn't even showing, on that date....

mobile app slow

So I just migrated all my photos from Google to self hosted Immich server. I have Galaxy S23 phone and unfortunately when I open Immich app it is pretty slow! I wonder what is happening but it takes almost 2 minutes before the app starts to work fast. I don't think this phone is slow and it's still a pretty recent flagship device. Before I was used to use Google Photos almost exclusively and never needed to open Samsung gallery, when I wanted to quickly check the recent photos or send/show it to someone. It opened fast and was immediately ready. If Immich behaves this way then I am afraid I will have to use gallery as I really don't want to wait 2 minutes before it's usable. Seems like around 30seconds there is a big network activity (you can see the number in top left corner). Is there any settings I can change so it doesn't do whatever it does? I am afraid this activity probably also drains the battery if CPU is really busy with something. I have 134 730 media files in this account (11 340 backed up from the device), so is it too many maybe? Interestingly on my other phone Galaxy S10 which I am using for some experiments this problem does not happen and the app is responsive immediately! There is only 7704 media files in that other account and it's all backed up from the phone. Hi, before I put in a feature request Id like to understand why the UPLOAD_LOCATION path (the main immich library) can not be configured in the immich.json config file. Use case: the Cloudron (https://www.cloudron.io/) app manager does not use docker compose. So the UPLOAD_LOCATION env var is not usable in their context....

Immich-server incredible slow, can`t upload pictures and container crashes

My Immich Server is incredible slow. I can`t really upload any pictures anymore. If takes like 15-30 mins to upload a single picture and then the server usually dies and I have to restart the container. The Background task for creating thumbnails is broken too. Thumbnail generations aborts with error. If I restart it by hand, it usually runs smoothly but slow. But it still does have problem to load all the thumbnails. A lot of my thumbnails are blured or have "Error while loading the picture" Last time the container died so hard, that I could ne stop/kill or even remove it. Since the container did not responded. Even a restart of the docker daemon did not helped. I had to fully restart the complete server to kill it and restart it. ...
