Is using watchtower save?

Hi there, several months ago (before immich v2 stable) it was highly discouraged to use something like watchtower to keep immich up2date. is this still true? It's a little bit annoying to re-deploy my stack every few weeks and I'd like to have a "fire-and-forget-unless-it-crashes" solution.

Image files not appearing in upload location.

I've set up immich on an OMV docker compose, and am having an issue where the images i upload to immich do not appear in their upload location as designated in the environment. I am very new to setting up this sort of thing, so any help is appreciated.

"Your app major version is not compatible with the server!"

I just recently spun up Immich on an Ubuntu server. I have been using the Android app for a bit without issue. But I got my wife setup with the Android app, and I uploaded some photos with it and put them into a new album. I added her as a user to the album. But when she went to find it so she could contribute photos to it, it wasn't in her list, shared or otherwise....

extremely long time waiting for thumbnails to load

i'm having an issue where thumbnails take very long to load, especially getting worse the further down i scroll. some load relatively quickly, but some take even 5 seconds for the server to respond, which then slows down the ones after them due to the requests getting queued. i'm running immich on a proxmox lxc container with 3 cores and 4gb of ram allocated to it, on a pc with an i5-6500 and 16gb of ram. the issue doesn't seem to be caused by too slow of a cpu or too little ram though since imm...

Trouble setting up immich on home NAS running OMV - "no such file or directory"

Hey all, I've been having a lot of trouble setting up immich on my home NAS/server. I am pretty new to the homelab space, so I would appreciate any help on this. I have installed immich through docker compose on OMV 7.7.20. Now my Immich_server container sees that the .immich files and folder structure doesn't exist, and gives an error. I am hoping for a way to force the process to create the directories....

Machine learning potentially not working?

Hi, I have recently installed immich on my zimaboard 2 through zimaos v1.5.0, but the machine learning doesn't appear to be working. I have reset the jobs but doesn't seem to have fixed it. I have seen other people have the same issue and the solution was to roll back immich version, I have tried doing that as well. I have changed it to version v2.0.0 , v2.1.0 with no luck...

Switching from "release" to "main" version

Hi everyone. Last night I asked Google Gemini (Big mistake, now I know!) for help to resolve an apparent incompatibility with the rocm driver on my immich_machine_learning server. Unable to launch Immich after updating / Unable to find pictures outside of running Immich

Migration Path?

I held off updating for a bit too long. I'm using the Truenas Scale install and currently am at

What would my migration path look like? I moved the datasets and tried a fresh install using the new locations but the TrueNas repo doesn't have a way to select older versions of an application. I'd be fine with just going to docker compose as TrueNas apps have turned out to be a pretty big headache. Should I try 1.8 on docker then go through each minor version until I'm up to date?...

Hi all, recently I started using Immich, which has been a nice experience. One thing however I did not manage to figure out yet, how can I schedule the backups on the mobile app? I access Immich via VPN, which is not always on, making it so that I am not always able to backup. I would like to create a shortcut on Iphone to turn on the VPN at a certain time, immich does the backup, turn off VPN. Thanks in advance!...
