cannot update to v1.133 from v1.117 | pls help TT

Backup on new iPhone

I just upgraded my iPhone, and now when I try to enable backup is saying my whole library needs to be backed up again. Is there any way to get it to recognise that this is the same library to avoid duplicating if I let it backup?

Migrating Immich from one TrueNAS Server to Another

I have two truenas servers, trying to migrate from one to another. The old truenas server is set up with the old directory structure. Creating shortcuts to albums

I have a shared public album where anonymous users can contribute photos to an album. The album currently has a very long and difficult to type URL after the "/share/" portion of the URL. I would like to create a shortened link that can be typed in easily by a user to navigate to this album. I understand that Immich likely does not support this functionality, but I am asking for tips on how to accomplish this. For example, I'm willing to edit the contents of my docker container and create an HTML page that redirects users to the correct long URL. I tried doing this, but I'm not sure which container I'm supposed to be looking at. I tried editing the "immich_server" container and navigating to the www directory, where I then saw other HTML files (including index.html, etc). I placed my new HTML page in www. I see my new HTML file is owned by root (same as other HTML files previously present) and file access permissions are the same. When I try navigating to this new HTML page from a web browser, I see Immich's generic "Hmm, not sure about that. Check the logs or open a ticket? (500)". Logs for today (docker logs immich_server) don't reveal anything interesting. ...

Update from v1.117 to latest?

Hello, good day. A long time ago I installed Immich to try it out as a photo server and I really liked it. Due to work, I forgot I had this application installed, and now I have about 200GB of photos stored on it. I’ve noticed that the newer versions have progressed quite a lot, and I would like to know if there are any issues with updating to the latest version. My main concern is not losing those 200GB of photos, which are linked to 3 different accounts.

Cannot download photos - no such file or directory

Strange issue here. I can view all my images fine in my library, but for older images, when I click 'download' I get an error:

The new Immich instance did not download the old files

Not so long ago, I installed Immich in TrueNAS as an application, and used it for a while. During this time, about 300 GB of photos and videos have already been uploaded there. After a while, I wanted to reinstall Immich on another machine in a Docker container. And attach the old directory (dataset) as an NFS share. So I did, but when starting a new instance of Immich, I ran into the problem that the old profiles and their files did not load and the standard installation of Immich occurred (I had already deleted the old application on TrueNAS) What do I need to do to get my old files uploaded in the new Immich...

Assets won’t upload

Automatic URL Switching works on my phone but not my wife's

iOS reuploaded already on the server deleted images

The iOS App re-uploaded already on the server deleted images. Maybe because I was still running v136 and the App was on the latest. I updated the server and it stopped. [Microservices:StorageCore] Unable to complete move. File does not exist at either location.

I am running a standard docker compose setup on my debian laptop (everything stored locally on my ssd), and I am running the latest 2.0.0 version (although faulty migration might have happened on a version that's a couple months old at most). I have played around with uploading my photos using immich-go, and I wanted to use the storage template feature. Something must have gone wrong (maybe my laptop went to sleep in the middle of the template migration job) and now I see that in the folder view, some of the data was not converted to the storage template. I also have some photos that seem to be missing in the upload folder (some of them have a valid thumbnail but cannot be downloaded, others don't even have the thumbnail and show "error loading image"). I have never touched the storage folder or db directly, only operating through the web interface or API (through immich-go). ...
