That's a really clever implementation. Had a similar idea in mind but couldn't really get it sorted. If I was flying only helis I'd start on it asap, but I do swap between planes and helis a lot so will have to stick with the long term plan of FFB.

Nje, not really, I kinda thought that it simulated the inertia/friction etc of a real cyclic (and the assorted bits and bobs it is connected to) i.e. you can't whip a real cyclic back and forth so quickly and that DCS simulates that. Odd though that the behaviour changes with trimmer mode.

I think that if they want to add some kind of damper they should do it internally in the apache. But I dont think this is that, it just doesnt make sence to limit the input speed for ffb sticks and no spring ones but then leave center spring joysticks perfectly responsive

I have a Monstertech aluminum profile-based simpit, and am trying to figure out how I will mount a Rhino on it. I take it that it needs to be attached to something solid, like a plate on the floor, correct? (I.e. it's not heavy enough to be free-standing, correct?) This is my setup from a few months ago; my current one is a bit different (newer Virpil stick base, with a different mounting system) but this shows the interface between the base and simpit.

I prefer a side mounted one, not centered with the seat (which doesn't have a cutout).

BTW, where can I find dimensioned drawings of the Rhino?
