IYeah, I haven't even bothered to put the spring back on LOL. I took it off to fly the Apache and then went back to fixed and never put it back.
ILOL. There is easy way to FFB the Skywalkers too. Guy did it and sent me the item to buy. It already has holes that can be used so literally just need to mount the motor.
AI really want to FFB my Skywalkers, they are super easy to do it to, as their mechanism is right on top, and accessible

ICongrats! I have the DIY and it’s so freaking awesome. Has completely changed my flying. In fact I’ve felt an improvement when landing on the carrier. The feedback is just incredible.

DDoes anybody out there who flies in DCS or Il2 sturmovik uses ffb joystick in Multi Player servers? I mean can anybody be competitive against real players especially while trying to shoot at an experienced player?
SI'd say that, depending on the plane, you should be at the advantage as you can actually feel what the plane is doing and can react quicker

AYou’d have an advantage in feeling more of the plane like Sam says, but on the whole I think FFB is likely to put you at a disadvantage in competitive PvP scenarios
ASpring base players can throw their stick around quickly and make full deflections, only limited by the strength of the springs they themselves have chosen
AIf you try throwing your stick around using an FFB base like that, you’ll probably break it quite soon

If you have heavy stuff, for example, I can see it getting more tiring, and faster.
Relatively light settings? Either equal, or slightly better (because you can feel the effects etc).
Not having feedback can mean you can throw the bird around. It can also mean you throw it into a problematic situation faster

APersonally I like FFB for the same reason that I mainly do TvE in MP: it’s the additional feel of realism and immersion
AAir quake isn’t fun or immersive to me personally, but if I were to do it I’d tune down the spring strength on my Rhino so I could actually keep up in the “stick deflection race” without having to worry about breaking anything
BI'd say if you are good you will be good, if not, well it's not going magically bring skills.
C100% an advantage if you fly the plane like it's meant to. As in using proper tactics and techniques. You will be able to keep your head outside the cockpit knowing what your plane is doing by feel.
I've found that any maneuver that a non ffb stick has an advantage at is typically a last ditch effort and means you already most likely lost the fight.

OThis, the biggest advantage ffb gives you is feeling how your plane is reacting to your flying without having to look at your instrument panel especially in scenarios where you’re at that pre stall speed. I wish there were some non diy rudder ffb options to help with feeling when your aircraft is slipping or skidding.

Pyou get much better feedback from ffb stick on stalls, your fingers being more sensitive than your bum 
LYes it’s true ,the FFB VPForce it’s a game changer in simulation !
DI assume that aerodynamic force feedback via the stick could be useful to develop a feel for max rate of turn airspeed (while watching opponent across the circle), despite no stall shakes in that regime. Looking forward to finding out some day.

CHelos, instantly switch between spring centering or not. Not sure if it's implemented yet or will be in games down the road but force trim

HSure. Next to the possibility of force trim, you can have all the same effects (like guns, stall shudder, ETL) like with the stick. Makes it even more immersive if stick and pedals are rumbling the same. My setup is on a moving platform and the engine/rotor vibration e.g. is felt through the whole contraption including my seat.
SA lot of fighters have a pedal shaker stall warning. Would be cool to have that through FFB too

HObviously that is a matter of personal taste, can't really give you advice on that. All I can say is, that pretty much everyone who built or bought a Rhino is very happy. I am.

Xpersonally I’m not a “flight” guy, but I will defo get MFG modded pedals, the only issue I currently face with that is lack of space, fitting everything into simracing rig is damn challenge
AI like MFG, but I prefer Winwing because of the ability to quickly remove the spring. this is huge for helo pilots.
