HObviously that is a matter of personal taste, can't really give you advice on that. All I can say is, that pretty much everyone who built or bought a Rhino is very happy. I am.

Xpersonally I’m not a “flight” guy, but I will defo get MFG modded pedals, the only issue I currently face with that is lack of space, fitting everything into simracing rig is damn challenge
AI like MFG, but I prefer Winwing because of the ability to quickly remove the spring. this is huge for helo pilots.

HWell the FFB mod for the Crosswinds, there is no need anymore to remove the spring. Just have different profiles set for different Aircraft or change the setting on the fly.

AThere is no “spring” in FFB pedals (in fact, the conversion mod removes the spring). It’s entirely controlled in software. With TelemFFB there wouldn’t be any config to change between aircraft, you would just setup the pedals the way you want it to feel, and then everytime you fly that aircraft telemffb sets it up for you
AYeah I know how FFB works ;). This was more of a cost-benefit question it will probably cost 300-350 to convert
HThat‘s about right. More if you can’t print yourself and need a service, It‘s definitely enthusiast level stuff.

SOMG that would make teaching SOOOO much better!! Being able to follow along with the student's inputs and feel exactly how much they overcontrol XD
GThere’s that, plus handing over controls would be more seamless. Instead of having to enable and look at controls indicator then matching then requesting control, you could just grab the stick wherever it is and request control
AMhhh, an internet controllable multi axis moveable actiuator that can vibrate which sits between your legs. I wonder what alternative uses people might come up with? Mighh be a whole new world of enthousiasts for this!

SExactly. And with the ME set to "Equally Responsible" the handoff is instant both ways. Would really cut down on the Woh Boy

SIs it possible to shorten the stem of the Rhino base connector, or is it mechanically required to be long?
SI'm thinking since I will be installing a metal threaded connector, I may as well print a shorter underlying stem for easier sidestick use.
D@Hiob has a stubby version of the stick connector STL that he posted recently, probably in the diy-builds channel. I plan to use it soon, but you should ask him how it is to operate.

It is one piece opposed to the two piece assembly of the Rhino, about 6cm shorter effectively IIRC. The only thing you have to take into account is, that the thread connector sits on the hight of the throw limiter. So the throw is limited even further unless you modify the throw limiter and make it wider (which is no problem though).
A FFB as a sidestick is a soso idea in my opinion as well. Every Aircraft that REALLY profits big time from FFB (warbirds, helicopters, steam punk) has a central mounted stick with s long throw. Sidesticks are only found in FBW jets like the F-16 or A320. If asked, I wouldn‘t recommend it.
But of course everybody is free to do as he likes!
