Monster Rhino as a center stick and original Rhino as a side stick. Thank you @SR-FWinger[73]_David and @walmis for making this possible! The 86 motors are amazing. They never overheat no matter how hard or how long I pull.
its a bit diffrent from the original TheAmazingGreat files. I made some slight changes to the bottom plate (added side reinforcements - probably not needed but i like to overengineer things;)) and added an exhaust fan for better ventilation.
Damn, I want a monster Rhino. Looks sick and I bet it'd be great for long dogfights in warbirds (which is what I use my Rhino for mostly currently). Just a bit too poor to be acquiring anything big right now
Hi guys, anyone else have the MFG crosswinds? I’m trying to turn the sensitivity down and I can’t find out how to get it less so it’s not shooting off in any direction.
Regular. Every time I set off on the runway it’s massively over controlling , if I push the pedals to the limits 4 times it’s fine, land and it’s the same. Bloody things.
Did you properly calibrate them with the MFG software? Which Sim are we talking about? what does the device manager in Windows show. Does the axis work properly there? Depending on the answers I would assume problems in the sims control settings is more likely than anything else.
However, some planes are just that sensitive to nose wheel steering during takeoff. In f16 I barely put in anything to correct it, and you gotta turn it off after 80 something knots or youll go flying
Tell me about it. But I managed two years ago when I bought my WinWing F16 stick and throttle and had her also gift those to me. Just glad she allows me to spend like this on my hobby, albeit in the guise of a GREAT Christmas gift. My VP saga began back in early March with my placing my Rhino order and now it will continue until Christmas. So be it.
just plop it on the kitchen table unplugged and play with it, making airplane and pew pew noises for a while.. eventaully she'll say fine! go hook it up!
I tried my rhino with the tech alpha of 2024 and it was shockingly bad. Not through any fault of the rhino, just not the best stick to test a new sim with
Works exactly like it does for 2020 while flying. As smitty said, there’s some issues (with 24) during some of the menus where simconnect is not “paused” and it seems the aircraft is flying or taxiing somewhere off screen. Not sure how we’ll address that (or if the issue will even exist at release)
Default is you need to calibrate them every time the computer starts, simply push it to full limits on all axis including brakes. You can turn it off in the software, I found out like you lol.
Due to my seat slider lever I would have to install the rhino a bit away from the seat (the stick/shaft would be like 8 cm away from where the thigh support ends)
Ideally the stick would be the same or similar height, but offset 8-10 cm towards the closer end of the box (the one with a gear)
Yes, there are various offset extensions you can find. Either purchase from your grip supplier, or else 3D print one yourself from your design or somebody else's existing design.
