Some do, but a lot of the best dressed people spend a lot less by buying second hand and being incredibly focused about what they buy. But getting to the point you can do that takes practice and time and having a view about what you're aiming for.

guys, what do you wear for gym outfit? any asian bros?
I'm really skinny and wear tank tops to my gym where Olympic boxers and weight lifters train and no one gives a shit what I'm wearing because everyone is focused on getting their workout done. Don't worry about it, if you're gonna be comfy in a tank wear the tank and buy it however fits comfy on you.

Stores / thrifting in DC? (also NYC)
honestly the answer is probably to get a train from DC to New York for a weekend if you wanna shop/see good stuff - IIRC DC is fairly limited, and that seems to be the vibe from the DC posters here too. Plenty of other cool stuff to see in and around DC that aren't clothes shopping though.

Fwiw "drying normally" is air/hang drying in a ton of the world. It's the US that's obsessed with using a destructive dryer that damages clothes.

Yep, but like @ludo said - quite a lot of different configs around. Nepenthes London had a run of them with grained/suede/calf panels recently that was quite good.
