[2024-02-13 01:44:28 PM] : also, how long should it take to launch your first product? in the 30x500 videos, there is a launch sequence of 5 ebombs. Is dropping one launch ebomb a week a good cadence? That means that if we start the launch sequence as soon as we pick what product to build, we can have ~5 weeks to launch a product? I think before seeing that video I was planning to launch a product in 2 weeks, is that too ambitious?

[2024-02-06 02:26:00 PM] : There's an entire section on this in 30x500, which I've gone through already but am still struggling with - how do you get past the feeling that you don't know enough in order to build something? I thought it might to be good to hear from other people how they've moved past that thought.

[2024-02-06 05:39:02 AM] : Just finished reading JFS (very nice read :ok_hand:). Towards the end it mentions an epub format will be sent. Did that happen? I don't see it among downloads and it would be useful to load it into my Kindle for re-reading chapters later.

[2024-01-30 06:50:59 PM] : like every small piece of 30x500, these tiny steps might seem like "going through the motions for the sake of an exercise" but that's exactly what practice starts like! I liken it to learning to drive or play an instrument. early on the individual steps feel uncertain, unnatural, and contrived. with repetition and deliberate practice where every version improves, it starts to feel more natrual.
I'd encourage you to try a few mini PDF upgrades to your end of post newsletter CTAs, and share your before/afters in <#C0BBSM6AH|ebombs-away> for some tips & feedback.
PDF can be practiced in so many places outside of full on pitches. the key here is to start small and practice, get in the habit, and improve every time! I'd encourage you to try and share some before/after attempts in...

[2024-01-26 02:21:14 PM] : I'm going through the safari gold section of 30x500 -- I find that I'm a bit confused about the difference between painstorming and hidden pain -- seems very similar to me. for now what I'm doing is I take quotes for painstorming, and hidden pain is kind of reading between the lines a bit, to infer and articulate the pain that the quotes imply, am I going about this the right way?

[2024-01-17 01:50:41 AM] : what do we think about writing ebombs as linkedin articles instead of setting up a blog site? It looks like you can even do a newsletter there. It just seems like there's a natural reach there, and I've been reading about things like zero click marketing, so it might be better than writing a blog post and then sharing it on your social networks...

[2024-01-10 09:28:14 AM] : I’m about 2+ months into a new audience (Next.js developers), and I realize that a big part of the audience is indie hackers, people who want to ship apps fast. At least, this is a trend I’ve noticed. I’m wondering if I should try and cater more to this subset somehow or not look in this direction and just ebomb based on the sales safari data

[2024-01-08 12:14:42 PM] : I think this is the right place for this? I've been doing a strategic review of my work over the past couple of years and it's grown into a blog post series. Mostly because I should have been doing this sort of review continuously with every launch. The first part is an outline of the theory that frames the analysis, with a mention of 30x500. https://www.baldurbjarnason.com/2024/2022-23-strategy-review-part-one/
The first part doesn't really have anything juicy but it's something I needed to sort out in my head for me to be able to think properly about how the products went.

Ross naturally does so many things the "30x500-way" and, when I get the chance, really enjoy working with him as a result. He shared this template with me before. Simple but effective. In our case here the most value is in the fix storming stage when you're filtering - it kind of takes that on to another level, especially once you're past your first la...

[2023-12-19 07:59:32 AM] : Where I’m currently at: I’ve finished the first part (Reading the mind) and have been doing Safari and writing e-bombs for a bit to get a better grasp on that part and collect a bit of an audience (just 23 subscribers in CK now and probably as much through RSS). In the first week after NY I plan to start the second part about building a business.

What I’m thinking of is a small group of people that are in a similar stage and that have a half hour call once a week or every 2 week to share things that are on our mind and help each other find answers....
