I chatted with Chris Oliver about this and he said he only allows himself to spend one full day per week on one video. And he records each step in one go and adds to the full video or something like that, so he doesn't have to edit later. Maybe that's helpful....

If I understand it correctly, then is the idea that you occasionally remove subscribers who never read emails so that you don't hit subcriber count / email send paid-tier thresholds for your chosen email marketing platform. Another benefit being that with the trimmed-down list, you get a more reflective view of email open rates etc. Do I have the right idea? Are there other considerations or benefits I'm overlooking?
FYI I'm on mailchimp so I think the subscriber count doesn't really affect me (they count unsubs towards your total billable amount)....
