yeah, I understand t

[2022-05-18 12:23:54 PM] : yeah, I understand the pain jasonswett it's really easy to spend weeks on one video due to perfectionism and Parkinson's law. Once I spent more than a week on a 5 minute video (it didn't even had sound). I chatted with Chris Oliver about this and he said he only allows himself to spend one full day per week on one video. And he records each step in one go and adds to the full video or something like that, so he doesn't have to edit later. Maybe that's helpful....

[2022-05-17 07:05:06 AM] : how do folks think about affiliate marketing? sometimes people ask me to be an affiliate and help sell my work. I always say no because I like having all the recommendations of my stuff be organic but I'm curious about other approaches

personally, I try to

[2022-05-16 12:04:21 PM] : personally, I try to avoid having to make individual personal judgements on stuff like this. you can decide to not work with people who behave a certain way, but I think of that separate from whether or not you give them something for free. I have my hard line "we don't sell to/support people who do XYZ" list. and we also have a "things we give for free, and in what scenarios" list. personally, I have never seen "I'll pay you back later" work out, so I'd rather either give it for free with no expectations or simply say "sorry, the best we have is the PPP option."...

[2022-05-16 11:58:01 AM] : Someone asked me (via Twitter DM) if I could give them my product for free because they can't afford it, and they promised to pay me once they got a job. I was considering it (even though I offer PPP), but then I looked up their Twitter profile and they have vulgar sexual words as their website and location (both are fake). What would you do? I've attached a screenshot of their message, but not of their profile to avoid offending people here. [File hidden by Slack limit]...

[2022-05-14 12:30:41 PM] : Greetings , I have a few questions about the SDB (Safari Detective Board): • Is SDB effective / used for all types of pain in one session or just one type of pain? "Pain about Promises" (JavaScript), for example, is specific. • Does SDB necessarily require a large amount of data, such as painstorming pains?...

I was looking at Amy

[2022-05-12 11:29:27 AM] : I was looking at Amy's Nokotime twitter and came across https://freelancember.com/ . Any clue if this giveaway was a success? Seems like a cool idea

[2022-05-09 03:24:22 PM] : Decided to name my newsletter... largely so I don't have to say "sign up to the newsletter" ever again! ... I also want it to have a product value feel. My home page is a mess tbh but anyway I thought I would share. Its called "Ahead of the curve" - naming thanks to a friend who actually likes words and writing :man-shrugging::rolling_on_the_floor_laughing: https://www.yourdatadriven.com/ #keeptruckin

My main advice besid

[2022-05-05 09:53:41 AM] : My main advice besides the link that Samir included in the thread is that this isn't really an important decision. There are reasons to do it. There are reasons to not do it. Net, they cancel each other out. Doing it or not doing it are unlikely to significantly impact your success in the long run. IF you decide to do it: • have a good reason other than "other people do it" • do not waste time on the decision...

I've seen a few folk

[2022-05-05 09:15:35 AM] : I've seen a few folks here getting to a point where they want to trim their newsletter subscriber list down. If I understand it correctly, then is the idea that you occasionally remove subscribers who never read emails so that you don't hit subcriber count / email send paid-tier thresholds for your chosen email marketing platform. Another benefit being that with the trimmed-down list, you get a more reflective view of email open rates etc. Do I have the right idea? Are there other considerations or benefits I'm overlooking? FYI I'm on mailchimp so I think the subscriber count doesn't really affect me (they count unsubs towards your total billable amount)....

[2022-05-02 11:13:12 AM] : Anyone had the experience of dropping the ball entirely on his course and successfully restarting? Wondering if I should just start from scratch; I got held up in pandemic-parenting-while-consulting and ran too thin on self-investment bandwidth for a while, but seem to be getting back to where I could do this sort of thing again.

[2022-04-29 10:12:24 AM] : Anyone tried Safari-ing memes inside a watering hole? They feel like goldmines (when they have lots of engagement) but at the same time it's like jargon on steroids. Would love to hear how you do it! Personally I mine them for keywords or use them as springboards. Though sometimes I just save them for a future post

So, I probably know

[2022-04-27 01:15:14 PM] : So, I probably know the answer to this in my heart really - but thought I'd check with the experts. I have a question about the most efficient landing page.

[2022-04-24 11:51:05 AM] : Can you post a specific example of a thread and your best attempt at safari notes on that thread, Duy Hoang?

[2022-04-18 06:56:40 AM] : Regarding TLD I've had some issues with special ones which are autoblocked in certain forums. Concretely the .xyz one in some sub-redits.
