I think this has com

[2023-08-08 12:35:30 PM] : I think this has come up before and the advice was “just ignore it”, but asking anyway - partly to vent. A less successful creator is taking my content, re-writing it (using an AI thing I think) and publishing it as their own newsletter. Any recommendations on actions, ranging from “public shaming” through “have a quiet word” to “walk away”?...

Given the small dopa

[2023-08-03 06:56:52 AM] : Given the small dopamine-hit I get just from getting a new newsletter subscriber, I'm guessing actual product sales is addicting  Currently sitting at 26 subs after 3 weeks—I have no idea if that is a good start or not but I'm having fun! :+1:...

I've been offered to

[2023-08-01 03:36:05 PM] : I've been offered to take over the Unofficial Remix Community newsletter, it used to be a monthly thing and grew quickly to 1000 subs but then has sat stagnant since then. Since I'm so active the creator has offered to hand it over to me. It hasn't been promoted super well, but it's listed in the official Remix docs This seems like a great opportunity but I don't have a proper execution plan yet. My personal mailing is around 180 subs and focuses on guides + tips that I myself am putting out, while the big one has focused mostly on the greater community and what everyone else is doing (guides, tips, examples, libraries, etc) I would like to use this to grow my audience further for future launches. Some options i'm considering...

I have the opportuni

[2023-08-01 04:37:43 AM] : I have the opportunity to take on a part-time project and I’m thinking of ways I can use this to move my own business forward. One way I can think of is to take the money from the project and invest it in my business. I have two questions for folks who’ve been through a similar situation: 1. What are some other ways you’ve used a paid gig to leverage your own business? (besides investing money earned) 2. If you’ve invested money in your own business, what investments turned out really well for you, and why? I was thinking of hiring a VA to help with the distribution of my articles since that’s been quite a time sink for me. Would love to hear other biz components folks have successfully outsourced and how you spend money on your business....

I would love feedbac

[2023-07-31 08:30:54 AM] : I would love feedback on something that I'm chewing on :slightly_smiling_face: I'm here now: • Focused my twitter profile (http://twitter.com/thomanil) to fit the audience + content I'm focusing on in 30x500, posting daily micro (nano?) ebombs there. 500+ followers only....

i can see the visito

[2023-07-31 03:40:38 AM] : i can see the visitors coming in more and more, but still 0 subscribers :disappointed: i think i have to make my signup form more pop-out and promise a value offer for the first email (as per suggestions from another thread here). not exactly motivating though. such a slow process. i mean better than nothing, like what i usually had with my products, but definitely getting to be more of a challenge to keep this up. Hey y’all! I’ve been

[2023-07-26 12:58:44 AM] : Hey y’all! I’ve been struggling with something and would love any feedback. I have a WIDE variety of people on my list. Looking at it now, I see a marketing director, architect, artist, e-learning consultant, site reliability engineer, analytics consultant, EVP of strategy, early-stage VC investor, freelance comic artist... you get the picture. I think the variety of backgrounds is due to this e-bomb I made years ago: https://colorsupplyyy.com/app...

Hey everone! Here I

[2023-07-25 11:56:18 AM] : Hey everone! Here I am trying to re engage with 30x500 after a while. I just finished watching launch for the win and gone through the excercises. I like the launch plan resource, i'll try to stick to it. Now I have a question regarding the coming soon page. How much detail should I share in the product outline? Should I discuss format, something like a contents tablet and so?

I’ve seen that some

[2023-07-24 07:08:53 PM] : I’ve seen that some courses are “accredited”, but from some light research into accreditation, it feels like something you can just purchase for your course. Does anyone have thoughts on whether accreditation has a meaningful impact on sign-ups?

asking all of you: h

[2023-07-22 09:30:01 AM] : asking all of you: how many blog posts did you have before you started seeing signups? what specific actions got people to come to your website?

I'll be joining Conv

[2023-07-20 08:54:52 PM] : I'll be joining ConvertKit as a consultant @thoughtbot next week! It's going to be fun to work at a tool I use (not super common as a developer) xD

> "If only I coul

[2023-07-17 12:18:57 PM] : > "If only I could write like I program" Makes me wonder if part of this is the feedback loop of programming, which tends to be tight and fast? Like, you know if you wrote the right thing pretty quickly. Do you think that is part of what writing is missing?...

<@UHWHY45EG> since y

[2023-07-17 12:17:04 PM] : Maxim since you specifically mention "getting into flow" one of the things that I've seen work is to do whatever it takes to get a shitty first draft down on paper. that can include outlining, dictating audio, even writing unrelated stuff (like journaling). a lot of the time, the struggle comes from trying to write the finished product before you've written the rough draft....

Has anyone found way

[2023-07-17 03:56:36 AM] : Has anyone found ways for themselves to kick procrastination in the butt? Whenever I sit down to write a landing page or an article, every part of my body wants to avoid this work. So much different from programming where I just get into flow and forget about time. How can I achieve the same with writing (and other tasks)? Is it even possible? I know procrastination is avoiding a negative feeling/emotion and I haven’t exactly figured out for myself yet what that is and...

Great example of saf

[2023-07-16 05:40:54 PM] : Great example of safari in the wild!

[2023-07-16 09:37:42 AM] : though it looks like lots of people were removed somehow  gonna look into how we can get those back

[2023-07-15 04:35:25 AM] : Any in Thailand?

[2023-07-15 02:26:01 AM] : Any 30x members in Amsterdam at the moment?

I just experienced a

[2023-07-13 07:52:35 AM] : I just experienced an e-bomb/stacking the brinks moment with another creator. I was looking up tips on improving podcast editing with Adobe Audition. The first query I looked up led me to a Stackoverflow thread where the answer had an embedded Youtube video by Mike Russel (the answer was not provided by him but another Stackoverflow user). The tip helped! I later searched for something else on Youtube, and the very first video that cam up was from.... you guessed it, M...

so i'm writing these

[2023-07-13 06:24:56 AM] : so i'm writing these ebombs and since I'm getting more and more clear on what a single-topic post even means I've gotten into the situation where new (specific) posts overlap old (mixed topics). they don't contradict each other, but one is clearly better than the other. should I delete the old post or just leave it there? changing the title is difficult since the URL includes it inside of itself.
