Monitor not going into standby/blank mode after set period of time

Hi, I have an issue where my PC monitor wont go into standy after setting the power option to go blank after 2 mins. Can this be fixed, any ideas?...

Solution:

switching to gnome desktop solved the issue, closing this post... rpm-ostree reset rpm-ostree rebase ostree-unverified-registry:ghcr.io/ublue-os/bazzite-gnome:stable as described on bazzite official website for checking out to dekstop (this is for gnome desktop)...

How to create new directory and add themes

I want to manually customize my desktop enviornment because through the KDE website there are just a lot more options. On the Bazzite website it says to "create a directory" if there isn't already one. But how do i do that. i Already have a folder named Themes but other then that i don't know what to do. this is what i am suposed to make 👇 Plasma Themes¶...

External Display - Framework 13 native display will not work w out external monitor!

Hey, I have a bug with external displays I'm hoping to get help on: I have an LG 22" external monitor connected by HDMI port (FrameWork HDMI expansion bay)... the laptop native display is in the native 2256 x 1504 (3:2) resolution, but for some reason all desktop elements & text look absolutely, eye-hurtingly TINY! It didn't do that before I had it hooked to the display, and maybe I'm missing the appropriate setting somewhere but I could always scale it, I guess... the bigger problem is that the built-in display no longer works WITHOUT the external display attached... it just goes black. If I 'turn off" the external monitor the native display works, but if I unplug the external (even if it's "off" in display settings) built-in screen goes black. If I restart w/o external display attached, I see the framework logo, get to log in, then... black screen again. No display output until I plug in the HDMI cable. Can't seem to get anywhere with it. Suggestions for next step in troubleshooting? Thank you!...

rollback helper not seeing any images.

Bazzite doesn't allow me to update and it keeps saying that I have no key provided. The rollback helper also doesn't see any images that can be used. I'm stuck on an unverified build. Any way I can fix this?

Hi all, I have to say, bazzite on the ayaneo slide is now really good thanks to the random crashes fix. However, there are still some issues. The most annoying one being the fact that the sleep function is not working. Now, I've tried the recommendations that ReignOS setup provides in this regard, which is to set the standby type in the BIOS to a variation of the "Modern Standby Type" value. However, no combinations of standby configurations seem to work properly. Here's what happens with each value: - "S3 Standard": the power button is recognized, even though the input is recognized after around 10 seconds, and the device seems to go to "sleep": the LEDs are off and so are the fans, even though it seems as if the device was actually turned off (the waking process is slow, and the BIOS logo is even shown). However, when trying to put the device to sleep via software, the fans are still spinning and the LEDs are still on. Also, the device is turned on just by pressing the buttons. ...

SUPERGFXCTL not enabling automatically

I installed bazzite recently on an asus laptop using the asus nvidia open iso and i noticed that ROG Control center is installed but SUPERGFXCTL is either not installed or not enabled automatically. Instability in some games

Warframe crashes after an undeterminable ammount of time pretty consistently (30m to a few hours), Oblivion cant even display the title screen. As soon as it happens the screen freezes, sound works for 10-20s in the background (can still hear game or YT video) then either full crash and I have to hard reset or return to login screen. This is a somewhat recent thing, played both games abt a month ago flawlessly, Elden Ring for example still runs perfectly. (all running via proton) Im using the current version of bazzite. Hardware are 9070xt, 5900x and 32gb of RAM, GPU is slightly undervolted (using lact) Does not seem to relate to GPU hardware, tried both stock and a heavy underclock both on GPU and VRAM with no difference in result....

Google Play Service with MicroG

So for whatever reason, installing Gapps on Waydroid breaks the program entirely and stops it from loading. Why that is happening, I have no idea. Can't find any answers online, people here seem to have no idea either, so I've given up. I installed MicroG instead, and that seems to load fine. I installed Aurora Store via F-Droid, then whatever other apps I need through there. This all seems to work fine, except some apps require "Google Play Service" to load. According to Aurora, I need to "install Google's proprietary library or a FOSS reimplementation such as MicroG." But, again, I already have MicroG installed. ...

No Audio Input with Elgato WaveXLR

Title says everything, Audio output works completely fine and the WaveXLR is getting recognized as a Stereo Output + Mono Input device, but there is no audio coming from the microphone. I know the device isn't considered very Linux-friendly, but any suggestions would be appreciated nonetheless.

ALVR Install

Just wondering if this is worth my time, right now I’m following the ALVR launcher guide but having a lot of issues on Bazzite - possibly one reason is that users on the ALVR discord suggest installing Steam from a flatpak - which some comments here are indicating isn’t even an option on Bazzite. Just looking for any tips on how to get ALVR running on Bazzite, where to start or what has worked for others here.

RTX 5060 laptop not recognizing dedicated gpu on bazzite

Title says it all, I don't know why certain games are causing issues (specifically Ready or Not) where they aren't using the dedicated gpu when I KNOW Cyberpunk is using it to run 30fps with path tracing, nvidia-smi returns that it couldn't connect to the driver, and SUPERGFX says it can't connect to the daemon for it.

Updating to the latest Bazzite-DX has caused all-around strange behavior

I just updated to the latest build of Bazzite-DX (which added HHD and Nested Desktop to my app menu). I have heard little pieces of the latest update causing problems in the server, and am now experiencing it myself. rpm-ostree status lists my current deployment as 42.20250720 and my previous as 42.20250718. VSCode is blurry, and the font looks different in KDE menus (I can't tell how, but something has definitely changed). Is there anything I should do to fix this?...

Game Issue exclusive to Bazzite: Forza Horizon 5

So the issue is as stated. After installing the game you are supposed to get a pop up to log in to an microsoft account but the game just errors out and says you need to log in to proceed but i can't log in because the pop up to log in won't show. The game installed and ran fine on normal Fedora and on Nobara and the login popup showed up fine and this is the first time i see this issue since it's been fixed all the way back within the first week of the game launching....

Solution:

Okay my bad guys it's a new bug in proton-ge and you need to delete the prefix to fix it. I'll report it to their newly opened issues page.

failed to connect daemon

When I go to update, and it fetches for firmware upgrades it says this error, and the firmware upgrade is ignored? Is there something wrong?
