Network interface keeps disconnecting
Hi all, I've been using Bazzite for little over a month now. Initially no problems at all, but lately the network interface sometimes just randomly disconnects. It's a RTL8125 2.5GbE, firmware says rtl8125b. I'm pretty puzzled as of why it worked flawlessly at first. I've been running ujust update frequently but only saw Flatpak updates, at least I'm pretty sure of it, but maybe a new firmware did get installed for this chipset?
How do I fix this?
Big update just applied (nvidia driver, etc.) Everything is working fine, but still seeing this error after reboot.

Nothing to fix, it'll resolve itself as your various flatpaks are updated

Steam unable to connect to server
Hello! I've been having connection errors on Steam. It gives me Error Code: -105 when first launching and it will fail the same way when going to the Store.
I have checked with System Update and everything returns OK.
I also tried running ujust fix-reset-steam, connection problems persist

Permanent boot
I downloaded Bazzite and it worked great but the storage was low so I rebooted it and fixed that. After I tried booting the new partition and left it on and it has been saying preparing system please wait for the past 1-2 days. I tried different boot options and redownloaded on a new flash yet it still does not work. Any help is appreciated!
Steam install question
Currently working on an issue where a program can't interact with a game and was wanting to.kake sure it wasn't steams fault. In Bazzite, is steam installed as part of a flatpak or from their deb install?
Note, this is not a question about how to install steam...
Solution:
Steam is baked into the image. I know some places, gpt etc in particular, claim we use the flatpak but we don't. It's a system package on bazzite.
Installing manually compiled applications into Bazzite
So I installed Bazzite DX, but my editor of choice is Emacs with specific compilation options I normally select myself. How can I manually compile and install applications into something immutable like Bazzite?
Resilio Sync
I've used the ujust command to install Resilio Sync, but the .rslsync command doesn't work and I can't figure out how to make Sync start outside of using the install command all over again. I can tell it isn't working because the Resilio Sync setup webpage doesn't connect because the local host isn't active. Is there a different command I'm supposed to use or something? I just want it to activate on startup. Thanks in advance

Hey everyone so I am just hoping to find some other fallout enthusiasts who also have done The Midnight Ride guide on bazzite or any linux distro really. I am having some trouble getting it to work after downgrading the .exe file and I want to see if anyone else managed to get that guide to work. If not its cool but I am just curious.
Gaming Mode
Hello, I have installed Bazzite on my PC so that i boot directly onto the Steam OS gaming mode. Can i still change this without reinstalling?
Realtek Driver 8169 or 8152
So I've searched around for a while and not come across anything, I know it's probably not doable buuuuut is there any way to get my ethernet adaptor working? It's an RTL8157 chip which normally uses either the driver r8169 or r8152
Normally I'd just install this with something like DKMS but obviously this being an atomic os that's not on the menu.

Set default display for GDM
Hello everyone, I've got a question not entirely related to Bazzite I assume, but I am using it so I figured i'd start here first. I have a triple monitor setup, two are used all the time, and one is a TV used sometimes for gaming/media. I've got my default display configured in GNOME for my regular desktop usage, but on a cold boot GDM picks the TV I don't always use to show the login screen. How can I select a specific display to show the login screen? Thanks.
Setting up Dual Boot within Bazzite
I've been using Bazzite for a while now and it's been enjoyable, however I was gifted Battlefield 6 and I know it won't run on Linux and needs Windows + Secure Boot to function. Reading the dual boot setup guide it says I need to resize the partition within Windows.
So my question, is there a guide to set it up from Bazzite or some other alternative way of going about this.

Random kernel panic on boot

I restarted and it still did not work. I started doing other things and suddenly now it works fine. Just computer things I guess lmao. No Idea why it happened
Onlyoffice files are set to read only when using syncthing on Bazzite
I have a conundrum for my excel spreadsheets. They open up on Bazzite as read only, but work as editable in windows. I figured I could just save as over the same file name and things would be good, but then they don't seem to sync properly back to windows. Anyone have this sort of problem and know what to do about it?
