Green+frozen when enabling HDR

So I’m back on Bazzite after a while away. For fun, I tried turning HDR on on Plasma on my machine with a 2070 Super connected via HDMI and BAM! Perfection! Works without a hitch!...

Solution:

Seems like it is only that I cannot turn on HDR when the monitor is running at its native refresh rate. Setting it at 120mhz is okay but not 144.

I have a GTX1650M, but soon planning to upgrade to RX9070XT, should I use bazzite-nvidia-open image?

Will it cause any problems with the AMD build, if I will just move my storage to the new PC (current PC is a gaming laptop, new one will be a desktop)

Solution:

rebasing is optional. all images have the amd driver and having nvidia driver will not conflict with your amd gpu.

ftb electron app - modded minecraft not launching properly

When I launch any minecraft modpack, I get this error (see screenshot). I found a libopenal.so.1 file in /usr/lib64/ and referenced it as requested, however the error persists. Anyone an idea of what I can do? Distrobox etc. I would like to avoid because of all the extra hoops to get the image to run in it....

concurrent audio from analog device?

I have been trying to my headphones / line out speaker set up to work, and through port changes I can mostly use it fine. However, I have so far failed to get the same functionality as on windows - the ability to use both devices concurrently (have music on my headphones while different audio plays on speakers). As far as I can tell, analog alsa audio sinks can only have one active port, and virtual sinks are essentially just simlinks to a specified configuration of the physical sink. So outside...

Getting a 404 when trying to download the Asus laptop beta build

Can't download the Beta, getting a 404. Wanted to try the Beta because I purchased a new ROG G14 2025 with a 5070ti and Bazzite is not playing well. I get a black screen after the initial install. The only thing I can do at that point is get try to get to the cursor with ctrl+Alt+F3 Classic black screen after installing Nvidia drivers that a lot of folks get after installing the Nvidia drivers....

Booting back into Windows fails

I have 2 m.2 drives and i took out the drive that had windows on it to install bazzite on the other drive, then put the windows drive back into my pc after installing. Now when trying to choose to boot into windows it gives me an error and tries to repair it but fails. I tried it with and without secure boot and it still failed to boot and repair.

[NVIDIA | KDE Plasma Wayland] GPU output hangs after long idle when launching games

After leaving my PC on overnight, the first time I launch a game (tested with World of Warcraft via Lutris and Dragon Age: Veilguard via Steam/Proton), my monitor loses signal completely. The OS is still responsive underneath (Caps Lock toggles, TTY accessible), but the NVIDIA driver seems to hang and won’t recover without reboot. This only happens after leaving the system on overnight. If I reboot and launch the same games, they run normally with no crashes. GPU error possibly drivers?

Hello, nice to meet you. I have a problem when installing Bazzite which is that I do not get video with my AMD RX 640 4GB GPU. This happens after installing the system, I uninstall my GPU from my motherboard and start with the video output of my motherboard and there it works and gives video. So what I did was put the default video output in my BIOS to be my motherboard and not my GPU so that I can have my GPU connected to my motherboard and see if Bazzite recognizes it, which it does.... Sunshine in Gaming Mode Half Screen and Seem on Portrait Mode

Hi guys, i spent and wasted more than a week just to find solution to this problem. The Steam Link now crashes upon running games on Gaming mode, so i have no choice but to go with Sunshine and moonlight, the Desktop mode is rendered fine. But upon switching to gaming mode the entire display is unbearable, half only and even on the portrait mode.

discord auto adjusting my mic volume

any time i use discord it defaults my mic volume even when the setting is turned off, i found something on a arch related forum about pipewire being able to block this behavior, but there doesn't seem to be a way to do it quite the same on bazzite

can only game for around 10 mins before system locks up

hey, so ive been having a funny problem with the system for a few days now, its crashing any time i have a game open for longer than 10 or so minutes. I've made no changes to the system that im aware of. it used to work flawlessly. The crash when it occurs causes audio to cut out on my headphones, both monitors freeze on whatever image was on them at the time, and no input is registered, ive left it around 5 mins before rebooting each time but nothing seems to happen....

External Monitor Resolution Incorrect in Games

Hello, Using the most up-to-date version of stable KDE via Bazzite, my games are not allowing the native 1920x1080 resolution of my external display to be used (built-in resolution is 2560x1600), and are forcing awkward, unusual resolutions. The primary game I'm having the issue with is Warframe. I have tried forcing 1080 via the Steam advanced display settings, game-specific Steam settings, and also toggled off/on "Automatically Set Resolution" in the Display settings. For other information, I usually disable "Automatically Set Resolution" and select 1920x1080@120, because when automatic is selected, it defaults my external monitor to 90hz instad of the max of 120hz. Not sure if there's a solution to that, also?...

Any way to change mouse cursor size?

I'm playing an ARPG and as is usually the problem with the genre the mouse cursor tends to just disappear into the ether with all the effects going off on the screen. I used to run YoloMouse on Windows, but it doesn't seem to work on Linux (at least not for me, doesn't detect any games). Google AI result claims I can change it in Settings -> Accessibility -> Mouse Pointer (this tab doesn't exist for me), or to go into Mouse & Touchpad settings to change the size (no size options there). Any help would be appreciated....
