redragon h878 headphone issues

I've been having this really strange issue with the redragon h878 headphones on my hp prodesk I installed bazzite on. Whenever I play sound on the headphones it only comes out one ear and only if it's at 100 percent volume, I have no issues with the headphones whatsoever or on any other device only on the bazzite PC with the dongle. Flatpak lists nvidia freedesktop applications on AMD Radeon system (after rebase)

Hey! For context - i've rebased from nvidia to standard bazzite some time ago (as i've changed card to 9070xt from 3080), when updating (topgrade) i've noticed some nvidia stuff popping up during flatpak update, so i started digging. Looks like when i do flatpak list i do see some nvidia apps (screenshot attached). Should i be worried? Should i remove those? If so how? Thanks!...

Bazzite update bug?

Most of my games on steam display a black screen which I have to alt+tab out of then stop via steam after update last night I ordered some new 2.1 hdmi cables as I don’t think my current ones support 4k/8k or earc. I’m not sure that is going to help though....

Bazzite broke

Okay so I originally started using bazzite and it worked perfectly except games every single game would crash and I decided to go back to my windows boot and on the disk manager I may have deleted the storage it was using and it’s partition, I recently stated searching why mine was struggling so bad and found out asus laptops especially my strix g16 struggle because it uses intel instead of the nvidia gpu and I found there’s a fix for that, but here’s my problem, I tried redownloading it used multiple different USB’s and versions of bazzite and every time I get an error at “deployment started” I have secure boot off and when I went to go check I realized fedora was still a boot option so when I went to that it just to me to a grub terminal nothing else so I got a Linux mint usb and went to that terminal and used “sudo efibootmgr” And saw fedora there so I used “sudo efibootmgr -b XXXX -B” (i used the numbers not x’s) and i removed it right and it seemed to be gone then I tried downloading Bazzite again and same error, and I checked… fedora and grub terminal still there and won’t go away. I’ve tried different partitions and different names and everything but I can’t go back to Bazzite. Does anyone know how to fix my issue?? (Installing, fixing my nvidia driver, and anything I need to do specifically for my strix)...

Solution:

For any one with my problem grab a bootable Linux usb (I used mint) and run sudo mount /dev/nvme0n1p1 /mnt then run ls /mnt/EFI and one of these commands based on what you see DO NOT DELETE MICROSOFT OR BOOT sudo rm -r /mnt/EFI/fedora sudo rm -r /mnt/EFI/bazzite sudo rm -r /mnt/EFI/grub then run sudo umount /mnt and it should be gone and your able to install again...

Steam Deck freezes if unplugged

I installed Bazzite as a dualboot to try (using the live installer form micro SD card). It finished installing, but both the installer and the distro itself basically freeze up if the deck is not connected to power. Obviously steam OS does not have this issue. So far, I literally just installed, logged into Steam and ran ujust update in desktop mode.
I have absolutely no idea why it does this, or how to stop it. ...

Mayflash 4-Ports Gamecube Adapter PC mode has choppy inputs on bazzite (on steam input)

While trying to play platform fighters on steam, while using PC mode, the controller has janky inputs. It's unplayable in this state. This problem does not persist while playing the game with steam input disabled, which might seem like a steam driver issue. However, on other Linux distributions I use: - Void Linux and Linux Mint - this adapter doesn't have this problem with Steam Input enabled. There is no error reported on dmesg apparently (I can provide the output later - not different between the distros I use)....

Computer screen keeps restarting desktop randomly

For some reason, whenever i'm trying to do something, at some point. My computer screen will restart itself and everything closes. Slow boot times

Hi, I went from Windows 11 to Bazzite a while back. Maybe I messed up something when I checked all the disks in the installer, and later removed the software RAID0 between my SSDs and HDD. It now boots from a single SSD, with the other drives mounted elsewhere. It takes a good while to boot up now, enough for a trip to the toilet while I wait. This was not the case with Windows. Performs excellent once it's up and running though. I'm guessing it's related to the changes I made to the btrfs setup after installing, as the installer configured striping(?) between my 2TB SSD and 2TB HDD, and using another 500GB SSD purely for metadata. I removed the HDD and 500GB SSD from the pool, making the 2TB SSD the sole OS drive, and wiped the other ones with fresh partition. EFI partition still lives on the 500GB SSD, but I'm guessing that's not relevant to the issue. ...

Pipewire doesn't work

Pretty much every program including Vesktop and OBS give errors like the image i send here. I did a bit of digging to see what the issue could be and found what might be the issue but this part is too complicated for me so i hope someone else will be able to figure this out!

SteamVR Room Setup not working

Bazzite Desktop breaks when I plug in an external NVME

Fedora 43 Steam Games not working

Hey, Whenever I launch a game that uses vulkan it shows a black screen with only the cursor and music, that is a known issue from what I've seen with fedora 43 https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steam-for-linux/issues/12422 More specifically though you can see from the issue it's the way steam is installed I think Bazzite does it the same way, with rpm instead of flatpak...

Missing Language Input

Today I saw that my Chinese input method "Pinyin" has dissappeared. I tried to re-add it, but it seems to be missing in the "add input method" fcitx settings panel. I have several computers on Bazzite and only one of them have this issue. Anyone know why it's gone and how to restore?

No GRUB display signal during reboot

When using reboot in the terminal or the GUI restart option (same thing i'm pretty sure), from Bazzite specifically, I don't get a video signal (HDMI cable) until the login manager loads. I can still interact with grub when my peripherals light up, except i'm doing it blind. This does not happen when I boot from shutdown or reboot from windows or arch (both of which are booting from GRUB). Not particularly important, just a bit weird...
