mouse not locked to full screen game
im new to Linux there is probably a really simple fix i just don't know it yet appreciate the help
Kernel panic
Fresh install, it says something about unable to unpack initramfs and then that screen. I used fedora media written to create usb.
I installed fedora 43 before this and it worked just fine.
I have seen this screen before but in a regular fedora install. I had to go into systemd-multi thing in cli to uninstall all nvidia mentions and then boot in nomodeset. But as I said it didn’t happen in fedora 43. Also I don’t know how to go into cli mode in bazzite or if it would even work at all.
I don’t have other options in grub because is a fresh install.
I have disabled tpm and ftpm. Secure boot is disable. Xmp disabled as well 🙁 any ideas?...

Hey can someone tell me how to turn on my GPU

Fresh install won't properly start KDE
Hi! I have to start this post by saying that I have a weird setup. None the less I don't get why this is not working.
I'm doing a VFIO setup. My host OS is Debian, my guest OS is Bazzite.
Previous to doing this, I tried the whole VFIO setup with an Ubuntu guest and all the config worked great. My gpu was recognized inside of Ubuntu and I got to gaming without problems.
Now I'm trying to do the same on Bazzite. After doing a fresh Bazzite install and logging in with my user, I have no GUI. Only Steam pops up. If I do right click on the background I can get to system details which shows correctly the specs I intend to use on this VM. If I try to get to the console by doing right click, it loads for a while but never opens....

Outer Worlds 2 - No Sound
Outer Worlds 2 (via steam, proton experimental) has no sound. Everything else has sound. Other games, webpages, notifications, you name it. Just not OW2. It had sound 1 time and never again. I tried multiple proton versions, multiple outputs including bluetooth. rebooting, reinstalling, nothing works. The one time it did work GPWgraph showed 3 instances of OW2 for some odd reason. if that helps.

Built-in controls do not respond on GPD Win Mini (2024)
Installed Bazzite recently to replace Windows completely. On first boot, the built-in controls seemed to be working fine. Subsequent boots made it no longer possible to use these controls. Toggling the manual Controller-Mouse switch on the device does not do anything at all. These issues apply to desktop mode too, as I cannot right click with the switch on Mouse Mode. On controller settings in game mode it says that there is no controller detected. Have updated Bazzite and Steam to no avail. The...
Frame Choppiness Bazzite GNOME 43 Radeon RX 7900 XTX
Bug Description
Updated from the last version of Bazzite 42 to the latest stable image using Fedora 43. Booting into GNOME the frame rate has become super choppy, performance goes back to normal when I roll back to Bazzite 42. I'm running Bazzite in a Proxmox VM (8.4.14) with GPU passthrough for my RX 7900 XTX, and I haven't been layering any system packages.
This might be answering my own question for me, but if this is a kernel driver issue from incompatibilities between the proxmox host and bazzite 43, I might just have to upgrade from 8 to 9 in order to solve my problem. Not that I love that answer though because then I'd have to upgrade all my pve nodes, and I want to see if anyone knows the issue first before I go through the trouble.

System corruption issue
Hi, I run bazzite kde and w11 dual boot on separate drives . 90% usage of bazzite , W11 just for emergency cases .My bazzite install keep getting corrupted after few reboots . To fix it i need to boot windows - it starts fixing a volume at startup and then after reboot I can boot bazzite just fine . It is not a windows issue as this happens even if I use only bazzite .
I am not 100% sure but probably issue started when i ended testing Intel arc b580 and installed back my rx7900gre , it was bazzite 42 that time . Upgrade to bazzite 43 didn't help, rebasing to testing image didn't helped too .

Screen is flashing randomly
Just installed for my first time. Desktop Nvidia. As soon as bazzite loads it randomly starts flashing the screen with the same screen in an offset position. No idea what's going on.

Bazzite completely shuts down and reboots when camera is on.
Basically, the moment I turn on my webcam, which has worked before with no problems, it'll work for 5 or so seconds before my pc completely reboots. There is no error or warnings before it happens, but anyone in call with me cannot see my camera. They just see green.
I installed GoofCord, and tried again, the webcam no longer causes the pc to reboot and my friends were able to see my webcam for about 30 seconds, before the cam went green and then black on their end.
I tried running journalct -b -1 in the terminal after the reboot finishes, but it says "No journal boot entry found for the specified boot (-1).", I don't know if this is the correct command but I found it when I was googling what the problem could be. If anyone knows why this is happening, please help me out....

[MiniPC] Kodi Refresh Rate Switching

connected to LG BX via HDMi 2.0
Bazzite-Deck KDE Image
In order for Kodi to do refresh rate switching, a user needs to whitelist all of the resolutions and refresh rates in the settings so that Kodi knows its safe to switch. These appear as a pre-populated list from the compositor, and you just tick the ones you want....
GameFiles from Windows
I changed to bazzite a couple of weeks ago and i'm still figuring out what to do with my 2nd and 3nd hard drive. All my backups are in them and some large games from steam as well. My question is if there is anyway for me to make steam recognize that i have the game files in my HDD (even though they were written by steam in Windows OS), so that i don't have to re-download hundreds of gigs of games?
Solution:
no, you cannot run games that were installed from Windows. You must reinstall them in Linux in a supported filesystem(ext4 or btrfs). the NTFS file system is completely unsupported
