3.1 Suddenly 4028 Loses PWM control
Hello everyone, I have not used my printer in awhile, and Monday when I turn it on I realise my cooling fan has lost PWM control.
I ordered a new replacement fan but at 24Vs and this also had the same issue. No PWM control.
Measuring the PWM wire to ground shows range of between 0-6-12Vs going from 0-50-100% respectively. ...
Solution:
Problem was a shorted MCU, explains the sudden failure after working for 1.5 years.
Replaced the MCU and the fan (just in case the PWM module was damaged) and now everything works fine 👍...
hot end temperature extreme fluctuation
All of a sudden hot end temperature started fluctuate very badly, but only when printing. If I move the hot end on the table with motors disabled even rapidly no change on temp. When adaptive bed meshing, no change or if I wiggle the wiring nothing change. Fan is at same state (off) when printing also. Any ideas?
Storage space used by ratos
Hi, I noticed a full disk space (almost 64gb) because of some log files. It is safe to delete them? I dont need the log files because they take up really big space (all space). Please see the attached picture, Thank you

Looking to get some thoughts on what might cause this ive had it on some prints and not others its not belt slipping to cause a layer shift but the whole print seems to wave on a very gradual pace and it returns to where it should be as it goes up. Just had a horrible print come out very wonky and 100% time to fix it now. Im taking the lead screws out to see how much those are bent if any, although it doesnt seem to match with the pitch so slightly confused.
Let me know if anyone has some ideas would be greatly appreciated!
It is in both directions, the nuts on the screws seem good along with the couplers..
Also its a vcore 3.1 enclosed 400mm...
Consistent Jams With Chube
I have been getting jams in the heatbreak of my conduction chube for a while. They can currently be reproduced consistently under the following circumstances:
- An entire print completes with PETG. The next time filament is extruded, it will be jammed.
- PETG is unloaded. If I load PETG, take it to temperature, (optionally) extrude some, and let it cool down, it will not jam.
- PLA is brought to 150 C. This is the least tested option, but it does mean that PLA cannot begin a successful print as it will jam before the prime blob even begins. PLA also seems to jam by the time of unloading. Unsure if this is the act of unloading or something prior....
VC4 with Orbiter O2 board Klipper shut down
Trying to build a kit from Ratrig - VC4 300 Hybrid with an Octopus Pro 723 V1.1, Rpi4, Beacon H, and Orbiter O2 toolboard. The toolboard is the only thing not from Ratrig. I have been scouring the channels here and various board documentation and have been unsuccessful in getting the printer operational. Filament unloads on RR 2.1 RC making weird "nubs", leading to clogs.
So, this didn't happen (or I don't recall it happening) before 2.1RC.
New unload process attempts a filament tip shaping unload (or at least looks like that to my still noob eye).
The problem is that I'm not getting a clean unload, and instead I've been getting filament that's got a great tip, but a thinner, weak section that's prone to breakage. Attached is an image of a filament tip with this that I clipped off....
