Hotend Reading Off
So i finally have my v-core 3 setup, however the hotend thermistor is reading 158 C at room temp. It is a rapido hotend, yet it reads wrong. I even bought a new hotend thinking the thermistor was bad but no. Same result.
The bed reads just fine, but not this. I even defined the thermistor as a custom type but that didnt fix it. Any suggestions?...
Random layer shifts
So lately I've been bothered with random layer shift in my prints. Not sure why or how it happens. Don't hear anything special. How can I start looking into this issue? First layers look great.
Rapido Thermistor Repair?
To jump to the end: Is the wire from the Rapido hot end thermistor fixable, or would I be better suited with simply getting a new one?
I am getting an ADC out of range shutdown during movement. Movement includes the probing process and manually jiggling the wire connector. The issue can occur with and without heat. The issue does not occur when stationary.
I have just replaced the wire from the thermistor wire to the board and it did not correct the issue. To clarify, there is a short wire from the hotend that leads to a long wire that leads to the board. I only replaced the long wire....
Probe triggered prior to movement
It was starting to do the bed leveling sequence. Then it stopped and gave this error. Probe triggered prior to movement. Confused on what's wrong since it was printing fine before.
X Y slipping skipping or other
in the love hate relationship with my vcore 500 a new problem occur:
i was trying to print the square tower of the pressure advance calibration protocol when i notice i was regularly shifting in diagonal.
i don't understand as i heard no noise from the motors, the grub screw are real tight and the belt tension seems fine ( can deflect to the point of touching the other when pinched, but don't flop ) i had done a frequency test: see pictures
and now i notice one of the belt is quite mangled and it as worked for like 1 h top... i have moved the gantry by hand before to feel any grab or anything and it was fine, i did checked because after initial install i had a belt slipping onto the edge of one of the guide bearing causing a bad grabbing so i re-did all the belt install . had it deformed the belt ? ( i heard that it was not so rare)
i wrote this post because i would like to found the cause of the problem so it doesn't show up latter....
Octopus Pro and Neopixel
With my Octopus Pro with Neopixel on the red header I am not getting anything. If I swap the very same connector to the EBB42 it works.

Broke my MCU Octopus v1.1 and am trying to get the replacement operating
I did some bad wiring and shorted out the fan ports on my MCU Octopus 1.1 running my Vcore3.1. So I installed a new Octopus 1.1, All cables were disconnected, old MCU removed, all jumpers set to original MCU's settings, new MCU mounted, and then all cables but the fans are hooked up.
I power on just the rPi and eventually see "mcu 'mcu': Unable to connect on the klipper touchscreen and on the klipper web page. The final line is "Error configuring printer". This makes sense as the MCU is not powered on.
I power on the MCU. Wait a while. Click "Restart" and get: "Klipper reports: ERROR" and "mcu 'mcu': Unable to connect" ... "Error configuring printer"...
