JoinGalactic Civilizations IV Black Screen
Hello everyone,
I'm trying to run Galactic Civilizations IV through the Heroic Games launcher but I'm getting a black screen when the game opens. The splash screen/launcher thing loads fine, then the game window opens in full screen. The mouse cursor changes to the GCIV one, and if I click the music will begin to play, but I will not get any visuals other than a black screen. I tried messing around with enabling/disabling Esync, Fsync, and some other options. I also tried various proton and wine versions. However, most recently, I completely uninstalled the game and deleted all files, then reinstalled using all of the default options. This is the configuration for which the log is provided. Usine latest Wine-GE and all default options.
Running on Fedora 39...
Witcher 3 DXVK or D3DMetal??

I'm running Witcher 3 GOG on an M2 Mac Pro (16 GB RAM) on Crossover through heroic. Do you guys run the game with D3D or DXVK?
D3D has no graphical glitches while DXVK has a bunch but significantly improved performance. Is there some way of fixing DXVK's graphical issues?...
THPS 1+2 - please run the game via epic launcher, internet connection required
Hello. Few months ago THPS 1+2 from Epic worked perfectly fine on Steam Deck. After few months I've tried yesterday to play but while running white window appears and shows error "please run the game via epic launcher, internet connection required" (I have HGL in Polish, that error is not 1:1 in English) and game crashes. Ofc, Wi-Fi is on with stable internet connection. I've tried almost everything but uninstalling, which I really want to avoid. Any ideas?

hollow knight has cloud save on gog but option does not appear on HGL
I checked the hollow knight settings on the HGL page and I don’t see cloud syncs option but gog does feature cloud saves for this game. Am I missing something ?

I just want to change the font color of the day and date info displayed in the bottom right corner of my desktop. JUST the displayed text, i.e. friday march 15, 5:37 PM. That's it. I presume it's possible, and im ok with having to edit .css if i have to, but it seems to me there should be a simpler way. A little help please?
when uninstalling games, which option to choose?
Can't find an answer on this subject. New to heroic, want to uninstall an epic game. Not sure what the difference is between "remove prefix" or "erase settings and remove log"
I mean, are the "settings" and "logs" just things like what proton version heroic sets the game to use?
Is it safe for me to just remove prefix if all i want is to free up space for more games?...
I just don't understand how to launch with gamescope.
I am looking to play a game with HDR and that requires Wayland, Plasma 6, an HDR display, Gamescope and ideally just a launch option (--hdr-enabled). How do I launch a game with Gamescope? I see the Gamescope tab in game settings but all it has is upscaling (The game has more up to date upscaling anyway) and FPS limits neither of which I want to use and seem to cause problems.

Genshin Impact launcher not opening from HGL
Hello, I am currently on Debian 12, using AMD Ryzen 7 with Radeon Graphics. I installed the Genshin Impact via legendary cli before HGL and tried to run it. Worked without a problem until login screen puzzle. I couldn't able to see any button or thing to touch for login screen puzzle. I decided to run via HGL and wine-ge, logged in to my epic account and imported Genshin Impact directory HGL didn't gave any error and when I tried to run, created a prefix without a problem BUT I couldn't able to...
Civ IV, Epic Games Store edition - Wine DX11 crash?
Hello, I am trying to run Civ IV via Heroic, but it keeps crashing with this message even before loading anything on screen:
Sid Meier's Civilization VI (DX11) - No compatible graphics device found. Please ensure that your system has a correctly configured, compatible graphics device.
In the game's settings it was set to run using wine-9.3, I then tried to use Proton-GE-latest with the same result. I have installed all the dependencies listed in the Lutris guide linked in the readme.

from heroic 2.9.3 to 2.13.0 and its just the other category any of the games in my epic games and hog work fine but when i try to launch any game from the other category its says launching but then it resets...

I am recently installed Linux Manjaro und wanted to try Heroic. However, I am not able to start any game that I downloaded from GOG. It doesn't matter if I choose the Windows or Linxu version. Linux games just won't start at all (I just see the play button becoming yellow and back to green), as for Windows games I see dosbox opening and closing again after maybe a second.
So far, I removed Heroinc and WINE (that I have installed stand alone before) and reinstalled it, without a change. If I download the games directly from gog and install the windows version via WINE, they are good. The problem only exists when trying via heroic....
