Ninja Gaiden Ragebound (GOG) not starting on Steam Deck

I installed Ninja Gaiden Ragebound via Herectic Launcher, it runs on desktop mode if i start the game via herectic , but it wont start in gaming mode or via steam on desktop mode. tried several proton version but didnt work out . any idea to fix this ? thx.

Sprawl - Game Description Wrong

Hades Cloud Cross-Save

Hi there! I just installed Hades (EGS) via Heroic and it works, however it says "This game does not support cloud save" in the Heroic options but Epic Online Services connects at the main menu on first boot. Then when I go to the Play option on the Hades main menu, it says "sync failed. Please check your connection". The Steam Deck is connected to wifi and is connected to the internet because I can sign out and back into EGS in Heroic no problem. To make matters even more confusing, there is a save from 2022 there so it seems like it is pulling a save via cross-save, just not the latest one from my PC which I played Hades on yesterday....

Can't seem to run any Unity games through Heroic Games Launcher? [Linux]

Hey there. I've been testing out if I can game on the Thinkpad T470 I bought and put Linxu Mint in. The first test game I tried installing was Brotato and it ran well enough, so I decided to see if I could run a more advanced game. I tried two games, both Unity-made: Two Point Hospital and Sunless Skies, however both games failed to launch in the exact same way: A Unity window with a progress bar would appear, fill up and close alongside the game. Both of these games are also reported to work Out of the Box well. The logs gave an error some times, but it was generic and looking it up resulted in no solution being found. Also, sometimes, the error would not show up. I'm using Proton-GE-Latest, haven't changed anything from the default install options, and am using the Appimage version of HGL. All games were obtained from the Epic Games Store. ...
Solution:
I actually managed to fix this by going on Proton-GE-8-32 instead of Latest. Played it for a bit and the game runs stable - a bit laggy and drains the battery like hell but that's more of my computer's fault than anything else lol. I think I can mark this as solved.

Witcher 3 - new error message since Heroic 2.18.0

Hi everyone, W3 is giving me a new error message when launching. See attached. Game seems to be running fine, though... It is either related to the last Heroic release (which I don't think, would be illogical) or to the version of GPTK used when running the "latest" option....

Xcom 2 can't move soldier in tutorial mission

the game asks me to press the yellow square to move the selected soldier, but nothing happens when I do. I remember having this issue before and the solution was to just play on steam... I rather be playing through GOG. https://0x0.st/8Rh4.log LOG with verbose thanks!...
Solution:
I installed the 2013 manually after downloading from the microsoft site. it works. but I'll test that method too....

Error regarding openssl and umu when launching FTL

Hello there, I just installed FTL via the epic games store and launching the game fails every time. I don't understand how heroic works enough to read the log file so here it is. Since this looks like an error when importing a python module, I tried launching python in a terminal and typing import _ssl, which worked perfectly. I figured out that disabling umu solves the problem but I am still puzzled about this error so thank you if you can help me understand it :)...

Cannot run any games in linux; python "Not a directory" error

Using slackware64-current (devel) version. This has been going for some time ago, but only now it dawned to me that I could get logs. This is with Uncharted Legacy of Thieves collection, but I really cannot run anything anymore. I used to, and I was able to install and run both Epic and Gog games in the past, but again... not anymore. ...

Trouble starting Rocket League

Hello, Yesterday I had to reset my Macbook M1 to factory settings. When I reinstalled Heroic and Rocket league, the game shows running for a fraction of a second, then it closes. I've never experienced this before. I've attached the log. Thank you 👨🏽‍🌾

Heroic tells me to not include a = in variable name even though there isn't one

The = is in the value not the variable name, if there's another way i should use for dll override please inform me

Wolfenstein: The Old Blood not launching heroic 2.17.2 (NixOS)

I am also not able to start the game in verbose log mode, I don't have the option (image1) what is happening: After setting the launcher to proton ge latest and pressing play now, I button changes from launching to playing then back to play without the game launching. LOG(dunno if it's useful)...
Solution:
Simply delete the prefix and try again if you tried with system wine before

Cities Skylines DLC manager broken

I bought a new DLC for Cities Skylines and it doesn't show up in the Modify Installation window (it should be CyclopesSnowfallAudience). The other DLCs that I already have work their actions are constantly loading (see screenshot) From the logs it seems that Heroic has problems with parsing 'legendary info'...

Is the Flathub version safe?

The version on Flathub is always more up-to-date than the one from my Linux distribution, but on the Heroic Games page on Flathub, it says 'Potentially Unsafe.' Is it safe to use?

Couldn't install a GOG game

The files appeared correct, but it hanged during file processing. I already installed Galaxy to play it, but if you need logs I can retry it. I'm not sure if the logs are only for that instance or if there are older logs somewhere.

Tiny Tinas Wonderlands Overworld Map Cutscene Not Triggering

Possibility to script/pre-configure Proton-GE on fresh installation ?

Hi there, on fresh Heroic installation (Linux Ubuntu), Wine is the default version available. Is it possible to pre-configure or script the installation of Proton-GE as default Wine version ? I see config.json can be configured with wineVersion but how should I go with Proton-GE install to reproduce what Heroic does in the UI ? For context: I'm the creator of Cloudy Pad, a FOSS tool to deploy Cloud gaming instances. I'm trying to integrate Heroic. My goal is to automate setup of Heroic so that users won't have too much "technical" tasks to perform. ...

cyberpunk environmental variables

Hi, quick question. I'm supposed to set the environmental variables in advanced settings to WINEDLLOVERRIDES= winmm=n,b; version=n,b in order to prepare cyberpunk for modding. However, heroic doesnt allow for equal signs, so how can I achieve the same result?...
