frametime issues

The mod works perfectly, however im noticing an issue; whenever DO chunks are rendered my fps is still high but the frametime is so jittery that it feels like playing on 30fps any idea ?...

strange fps drops, stutters, perfomance issues

so i've made a modpack, but it seems to try to eat all of my ram, no matter how much i give, it's always not enough. i've downloaded spark by the advice from chat, but can't figure out how to use it. pls help...

crash pc

My entire PC is crashing when I run DH in singleplayer. I'm thinking it might have something to do with this FAQ ? "My server fills up on RAM, then gets killed by the admin panel I'm using, looking like it crashed" However it's a singleplayer world... I have 16gb of 32 allocated to minecraft, and running the following mods but none are listed as incompatible. "boxlib coordinates display entity culling ferritecore...

why isnt the lod generating further on server

Black flash on chunk in water with iris and complementary in 1.21.8

some random chunk flash for half a second then go away it happen every second or few second,barely noticable. in 1.21.8 with iris,sodium,happen with most if not all sahder compatible with dh.i alsos ent screenshot of my mod in case

Pregenerated lod file not working server

I pasted the pregenerated .sqlite lod file in the "distant horizons server data" subfolder but upon joining the server the lods doesnt show up. any fix?

Massive pillar LOD that doesn't exist?

I am hosting a server running 1.21.1 MC with DH 2.3.1-b and my client is 1.21.4 MC with DH 2.3.4-b. I'm using viaproxy with viabackwards. the world itself is running JJThunder to the Max 0.6.0, and everything has generated perfectly except for this one spot, where there are 1-2 chunks that are just massive green pillars. i've restarted the server and game several times. i haven't seen any error messages, and i generated these chunks quite a while ago, so i'm unsure what logs i would need to uplo...
Solution:
alright, i've updated DH to the latest version, and i've placed and broken blocks in the chunks, waited a bit, and restarted, then revisited the chunks. issue seems to be fixed, thanks!

Multiverse compatibility on Arclight (kicks you on nether portal entry)

i set up a skyblock multiverse using arclight multiverse and distant horizons, but it seems to kick you, but it lets you rejoin the server in the nether. here is the crash (it says its too long and uploaded to a txt) ...

No "shader packs" option in fabric 1.21.8

Hi! I am new here, and need a bit of help. I have installed fabric, fabric api, DH (2.3.4), installed iris for 1.21.8, and have sodium installed as well. Along with this, I downloaded a version of Bliss shaders marked as compatible, being the most recent "stable" version. When MC is launched via fabric, DH is up and good to go, but I have no way to access shader packs, whether via video settings / options nor the "O" key. When the game is launched via IRIS, i have options for shaders but obvious...

Crash on world load

Crash log included with all mods and info, not particularly sure of why as I have not touched this in 3-4 months and nothing has changed with the mod list, shaders, resource packs, ect. Also included is 2 addition logs with different memory amounts.

General Questions (it turns out I know nothing)

I'm trying to understand how the chunk generation works and how to get high chunk renders with DH, but I always seem to have some problems or questions regarding it. Before I list my questions here is some of my more important info: - one testing single player world with fabric mods on 1.20.1 - one testing server with fabric mods 1.20.1 (copy of the single player world) - "unlimited" storage space - if it prevents frying my CPU I'm willing to download every block state to my server - so far I have 8192x8192 area that is fully pregenerated using chunky with a custom terrain generator, but I want scalability...

Maximum Render Distance + Loaded Chunks?

Is there a maximum range for DH’s LOD render distance or does it show every chunk that has been generated? Also, do chunks that are loaded by another player change in real time?...
Solution:
No hard limit as far as I know, and yes LODs automatically update as long as the server has Distant Horizons or the DHS plugin installed

Bugged visuals depending on the height

First of all - DH is the best mod so far, really, huge thanks to you. Second - wow, what was that verification system, that's genius! And now about the problem. I've seen this bug on 1.21+ on more than 6 modpacks i've tried, and also on my own modpacks i've made. Everywhere was different mods, so i can't really understand what's the problem. As you can see on the screenshot, the visuals are broken. BUT, broken they are only on and under the level where you spawned. above 3 blocks of spawn position - everything is perfect...
Solution:
I found out what was causing the bug. When i set the lod distance to 200. I don't know what logic bhind it, but now it's clear to me. I've began to experience perfomance drops recently, so i went on youtube to see if there was guides how to optimize minecraft with mods. And ofcource there was. Many. And in one of them autor told to set DH lod distance to 200, which i did. But right after i began to see that bug, i showed you...

Does Pre-existing behave same as Internal_server ?

I'm trying to use the mod with WWOO and since it says there will be stitch line if we do so, i read that using the mode "internal-server" will solve the issue. I tried doing that but the generation would not save the chunk and would be incorrect. So i used chunky to generate the map chunk first and now i need to pregen the DH part. My question is : At this point if i use pre-existing mode will it have the same result as internal_server ? Thanks...
Solution:
"Internal Server", or "Full - Saves Chunk" following the rename in 2.3.4-b, should save chunks when generating and should have 100% accurate LODs. Otherwise, "Pre-existing Only" should effectively functions the same.

Any Mod or Config Suggestion to make players be visible as further as DH Chunk Distance's size?
