Add/Remove photos to albums in full-screen view?
I organize photos into albums while browsing in full-screen (not going back to thumbnails).
With the latest version:
* Mobile app: can’t add/remove photos to/from albums
* Web app: can add, but not remove.
It would be great to have a one-click way to add/remove photos while in full-screen working for mobile and web-app....
IPad stuck
Hi, after last app update, the app starts and then locks, no photos are visible and all the buttons are non-responsive.
I already tried to uninstall and reinstall the app but it doesn't solve.
Any suggestions?
On my Pixel 8 all is fine but I can no longer use Immich on my iPad....

How to boost metadata extraction
Hi there. I've got a good setup to run Immich, with a remote ML container with GPU accelaration enabled. Database and pictures are hosted on a Synology NAS DS218+.
I'm in the process of migrating my >100k assets to Immich, but I find that the "metadata extraction" job takes forever. More than 36 hours to process 2000 files. I've been struggling to find out which step of this job is slow, but I can't find any info. Lookig at the logs, there is nothing obvious there.
If anyone has an idea or any personal feedback ?...
iOS app can't connect to server (Cloudflare + NGINX)
Hello,
I'm struggling to connect to my Immich server through the iOS app using DNS. I can access it on Desktop (in a different network where the host is). I can also connect via External IP:PORT. Interestingly I can connect on my phone using the same External IP:port method.
Error message: "Error while checking server availability"...
Mobile app issue
The android app is broken and I can't access my server with it.
I tried updating my server to the latest version but got the same result.
Keep in mind that my web ui is working perfectly
Before the app stopped working It said (migrating data) for a few seconds...
I cannot see my photos on the phone in the immich app after updating.,
The photos are on the server but the app doesn display anything, tryed to reinstall the app , still nothing. Mobile version 1.142.0 buil 3014/ Server version 1.126.1.
I broke my Immich with the breaking update :(

The thing is, i'm completly lost.I updated the Immich when we got the breaking update. I did not notice it first, I used it as it was, uploaded some pictures and thing, but when I noticed that my old pictures are not loading I checked the changelog and I saw it. I tried to do what the changelog said but I failed somehow. Can someone help me? I don't want to lose my files 🙁
My Immich is running on TrueNAS and it is currently version 1.9.16....
iOS not backing up after switching to beta timeline
after updating server and iOS apps to the latest build (1.142.0), I'm having issues on my wife's phone. Both phones were previously utilizing the backup feature. My phone backup still works fine (although I was trialing the beta timeline feature prior to it being the default in the latest update).
My wife's phone looks like it started the backup over. Total is 6943, Backup is 36 ,and Remainder is 6907. After having the app open for a couple minutes, the backup starts, the Backup number starts climbing and the Remainder number starts falling. The bottom of the screen also shows "Queuing XXX/6907", where the XXX number periodically climbs. After a few minutes, the app crashes, and the numbers all reset to their previous values with no progress gained. The app also crashes immediately if I disable and reenable the backup manually.
Both phones are iPhone 13 Minis. Am I running into a memory issue, or something else?...

Android App says Data migration in progress for an hour
I have started the app for the first time in a while, so it likely got an update one or more times and I have the server on version v1.135.3. When I start the App it says Data migration in progress, but that does not finish any time soon, I have it running for an hour now.
I wonder if that requires a server update as well or if I am missing something else....
facial recognition is terrible

Immich not using GPU on truenas

After updating, complete synchronization is required on iPhone.
We have just over 65,000 images on an iPhone. When setting up the server, these were all synchronized, which took several days, during which we kept the app open (primarily overnight) to ensure that the upload ran reliably.
After yesterday's update to the latest version of the server and app (1.142.0), everything continued as normal on an Android phone, but on the iPhone in question, it now wants to synchronize all 65,000 images again. Is this really necessary, and if so, why is that?
Since it unfortunately doesn't compare hashes but actually uploads everything, it will take days again, even though the images are already all on the server. 🙁...
Issues updating and exporting my database
I have been using immich just about since release, and have had issues updating ever since. I am running a linux server via podman, but whenever I would update versions, the postgress would die. I have had my uploads copy themsleves over and over, so I would like to export what I currently have and start fresh, My server is quite old since I have not updated it in a while, version 1.133.0 while the mobile app is on 1.142.0. The mobile app no longer sees the uploaded files, but they do exist and work on the website version of immich for pc.
TLDR: I want to export all of my current images and completely rebuild immich on my linux server with them...
Migrating from old datasets to new

I was able to rsync and everything and do the new storage configuration in the app settings however, when relaunching immich no photos or videos are showing....

Hi, I was wondering what would happen if a user pressed this button, would it completely delete the entire database for everyone? Or would it only be deleted for the user who pressed it?
Beta Timeline in 1.42.2
I've updated to 1.42.2, I still see "Beta Timeline" in my settings, latest iOS version, the release notes seem to indicate that 1.42.2 makes Beta Timeline default, so I was expecting this setting to go away entirely. Why is it still there as an option if it's supposed to be default.
