PWhen you have a class object within another class or struct, it essentially stores a pointer
Pwhen the GC can’t find that pointer in any other objects or stacks, the GC will delete the object
Pgenerally you shouldn’t have an object within a struct (as it balloons the struct)

DHey guys! New to Silk.NET, wanting to create a transparent window in OpenGL mode. I think the key may be in GLFW but I have no idea how to set my window transparent. I've tried to set 'options.TransparentFramebuffer = true;' but that didn't help. Is there a way to set the window transparent so I can draw a square that 'floats' on top of the desktop? e.g. for notifications and toasts etc ?
HYou could in theory get the win32 handle and then manipulate the window from there

DHi @grifon.petre - in my OnWindowLoad() I am doing Gl.ClearColor(1.0f, 1.0f, 1.0f, 0.5f); and then in OnWindowRender I am doing Gl.Clear(ClearBufferMask.ColorBufferBit);
RIn Arrays of Objects the objects are not guaranteed to be stored Contiguously. In Arrays of Structs the structs are, meaning it's more likely the CPU has the data already sitting in cache therefore doesn't need to go and fetch it for memory

Aafter my complete and utter brainfart the other day i had a think about how to fix it in a way that worked well for the user but also meant there was no risk of the runtime moving the pointers around and i finally managed to fix it
so there are now pointer overloads (which it uses internally) and the safe overloads as well yay

DSo what I want to appear is the square, but not the black background, that needs to be transparent, and I should be able to click through it - it should 'float' like a toast message "You have one new viewer" or something like it.

AI don't believe click through is possible with glfw, potentially SDL, but you'll probably have best luck with using win32/x11/whatever directly (is click through even possible though??)

Athis seems like it is a new feature in 3.4, but silk uses 3.3 currently (I don't believe 3.4 has even been fully released yet)
so once 3.4 releases silk will be updated to include this too.
can't say for certain whether or not the silk windowing will be updated to feature this, but it wouldn't take much to implement it, and if you wanted to you could submit a PR to have this added too.

Aif you really wanted to you could manually replace the glfw files with ones for 3.4 and then find the integer value of
MOUSE_PASSTHROUGHOk that's unfortunate. So you mention SDL may be able to do it - is there an example/tutorial that draws a simple square in SDL where I can get this click-through, transparent window enabled? Just starting out with Silk.NET and really want to get this working. I'm trying to 'fail fast' based on the features I need, but I'd really like to 'succeed' as well
