RSo I just got my Rhino kit running. Still a newb when it comes to the software. Is there a way to globally tune tune down the X spring force? It seems like whatever values done at the effects tab get overwritten by programs such as DCS. Should I be using TelemFFB?

SHi Walmis. Just got my Rhino and am testing it. Very impressed by the build quality and ease of setup so far. I have a question though. I have a Virpil T50 grip attached and I can’t seem to make it recognize the analog brake axis. (Pinky lever). Any ideas? I tried the windows USB controller calibration but it doesn’t seem to want to calibrate that axis
MI think mine just worked when i used the axis assignment in dcs
WHi, you need to activate the VPC T-50 profile in the VPforce configurator and calibrate it there too.

RHnmm, I'm not getting any analog axis on the F-16 WinWing grip. The grip type is set to WinWing adapter, and the buttons all work. But none of the analog axis is working. When set to debug mode, the last 9 bits are always 00. Is there something else in the setting I need to set?
WMaybe you need to calibrate it with a wingwing base? I think WW stores calibration in the grip.
TI found mine worked in game but showed differently in VP
R@walmis I've printed and fitted an 11 degree version of the throw limiter (thanks for making it available!). After running the auto calibration I'm finding the throw is shorter with master gain back at 100%. If I set master gain to 0% the throw reaches the newly calibrated full deflection. I haven't checked if it's related to a particular force effect yet, only master gain after I noticed the shorter throw.
RDeflection as shown in the axis graph in the configuration app (the physical deflection isn't affected). I also see the same reduced throw in other joystick testers.

WYou need to open up the "Tune" dialog for friction and play around with the values to get a stable response, also you may need to increase the filter bandwidth, try 8-10 Hz.

RYeah, it seems like that might be the best case, at least for me. Everything was working on the WW base before I transplanted it to the Rhino. Buttons works, but not the axis. Then, I went back to WW's base and recalibrated it and all the axis are working now. It could also be that I was working from a motor/pcb kit and had do the wire harness myself, and somehow that tripped the grip's memory during the whole process, so the calibration value had to be redone. In any case, I think it would be prudent to get the base.
Pwould it be possible to implement this type of calibration into the Rhino software in the future?
Athe manual needs stuff on how to use the ww adapter, btw
KVirpil doesn't require this and all axis can be calibrated in the VPForce config tool.
BThat’s my experience. The DLC axis on the VFX grip works a charm. I can finally wrestle the cat down to the deck!

SIs anyone experiencing crashes on mission load in DCS 2.8 OB? Seems to be a problem with helicopters. Wondering if I have a conflict somewhere in DCS settings.

SNext question is: I only get stick shake effects on WW2 aircraft. Are there supposed to be periodic effects like stick shaker or weapon effects in DCS for modern aircraft?
LNo "DCS-wide" effects. Everything is up to the module author. Some modern jets have some effects others have nothing. I don't expect there to be weapons effects while firing in any modern jet. I hear anything by Heatblur has a good FFB implementation (F-14, soon F-4).
