How to install libcurl3 package while making it accessible by a VS Code extension? (Bazzite-DX)+
I'm using Bazzite's DX version for it's layered Vs Code and Docker extensions.
Unfortunately, installing it via an Fedora Distrobox doesn't enable the Vs Code extension to access it......
Alsamixer not saving settings
Hi folks,
New to Bazzite and Linux in general.
I have a headset that is recognized by alsamixer as PCM and PCM 1(my headset has chat and game audio channels). For some reason PCM is always set to 13 on boot and I have to manually change it to 100 every time (can't hear any sound from it otherwise). If I maually run "sudo alsactl restore" that fixes things but that's a bit inconvenient. Is there a fix for this or is there anyway I can set up Bazzite to run the command on start up? Thanks...
Trying to install discord from Tar.gz
I initially installed discord from flathub, but, for some reason, that version doens't detect the games I'm playing at all, so I uninstalled it and tried to installing from the official Website using tar.gz. The issue is that every tutorial I can find online about installing those packages talk about some "configure" file that the discord tar doesn't appear to have. So the issue here would be, how to specifically install the official tar on Bazzite?

hey wassup everyone, today i installed emudeck to play roms on steam, i used srm (steam rom manager) to add all my roms to steam, the problem is that im too lazy to put the artwork mannualy, and my brother that use official steamos on a steamdeck and every time he parse, the artwork is ready to go whitout downloading it, so i want to do the same (also i use bazzite)

context: I am not a linux pro. I literally installed bazzite today for the first time and it is my first linux distro ever, I just want to finally get rid of windows before they force me into windows 11
the problem: I want to disable the bluetooth part of my bluetooth/wifi card because the bluetooth part is for whatever reason very bad in terms of range. on windows I just disabled it within the device manager. without disabling that it's prioritizing my bluetoothcard instead of the usb dongle I want to use. I'd just unplug the whole card, but I need wifi.
the question: is there a device manager equivalent for bazzite? or another potentially better way of dealing with my problem? ...

you can outright disable the bluetooth device by unbinding it from the driver using a udev rule (i have to do this on my machine as i use it for passthrough)
file: /etc/udev/rules.d/98-disable-bt-device.rules

9060xt has poor performance in bazzite compared to other linux installs
I recently upgraded to a 9060xt from a 3060ti, and i've noticed that Sober (the roblox client for linux) has REALLY bad performance under bazzite now. I'm getting stuck at really low fps (sometimes tanking to single digits), stuff which never happened with the 3060ti
I know this isn't a bug with sober however, since i've just gone and installed CachyOS on a seperate drive and Sober runs completely perfectly on that (its a 5400rpm hdd so its not something to do with the storage device)
The only discernable difference I can see is that Cachy is running on the 6.16 linux kernel, whereas my bazzite install is on 6.15.9. help would be really appreciated...
Slippi.gg play button does nothing
Anyone else have this issue?
I know the ROM works, tried it on windows. The app verifies the ROM and I sign in, but when I click play nothing happens. I don’t see any logs or anything to show what is causing the issue.

the sound is broken in all games (fixed by loading into ostree 1)
half of the sounds are not played in all games, including the characters' voices. Everything worked correctly yesterday. The only thing I did was study bottles and try to run ghostwire via portproton. In this process I had to hard reset the computer a couple of times. Tried booting into ostree 1. The problem was solved, but I really don't understand why the sound could break so selectively. Because of a hard reset? And is it possible to fix this problem without loading into snapshot?
Won't install
System is an Asus M360M-A motherboard with an i5-8400 and a RX 6600 GPU.
The system freeze shortly after starting the install.

wake on lan not working
Hey guys i've a dual boot windows bazzite and on the two os the WoL is enabled but when i stop my computer from windows the computer will be poweroff in S5 (it's normal) but on bazzite it reboot when i ask it to stop, I use every day the wake on lan so please tell me a solution!

I have an issue where certain games are just scaled so much that I can't read text. I am on the framework laptop 16.
Battery Charge Limit Resets after Restart & Hibernate
My laptop resets any changes I have made to the battery charge limit after I restart/hibernate the laptop. The laptop also disobeys the battery charge limit while shut down. Is there anything I can do to remedy this or is this an unplanned feature?

Resetting/Back to Windows
My cousin just bought a pc already built off someone and asked me to do a PC wipe. When he gave it to me it loaded up on Bazzite which I’ve never used and I’m too lazy too learn it’s functionality so can someone help me with the wipe and whether or not I need to do an iso image Windows install or not
Chrome fails to start
When I install the flatpak or the rpm version directly from chromes download page, after a restart it will not open, it acts like its going to open, then just closes without a warning. Is there a good way to diagnose these problems?
Bazzite will not play at 120hz even when set to it in game mode. Limits to 36 FPS.

Bazzite worked and I was playing Jedi Fallen Order at 120fps on my 3440x1440 120hz screen using a display port connection. I can set the screen to 3440x1440 120hz in game mode settings, then it just doesn't work. If I set it to 60hz I get 60fps but can't get it to set to any refresh rate higher or to stay there. I was using the system just fine a few days ago. Any help would be appreciated....
No audio through monitor
Thats .. it really. The computer says its sending audio via the display port, says volumes at max both on the rig and the monitor. But nothing.

Asus Rog Ally: Armoury Crate, Command Center and M1 buttons not working after reinstalling Bazzite
Hi! I have reinstalled Bazzite on my Asus Rog Ally, because I wanted to fully uninstall Windows (I had it alongside), but now those buttons don't work anymore and I don't know why.
It's weird, because when I first installed Bazzite, they worked out of the box.

It's weird, because on the first install of Bazzite I didn't have to run any command... It worked out of the box, as I said....
