laptop built-in webcamera isn't detected at all

laptop is a HP Elitebook 840 G6 never used linux before, so i honestly don't know where to even start with this. i've already updated firmware with fwupdmgr and installed Cheese, but both Cheese and Discord are saying there's no camera. half tempted to flash windows again just to see if i'm missing a firmware update somehow...

Warhammer 3

So am trying to play warhammer 3, am using the latest release of proton but when its done loading it freezes when the map shows and i cant click anything, sound still work. i tried using experimental proton but hot a system freeze and had to force shut down the pc.

Whole system freezes sometimes out of nowhere, forcing restart

It's happened twice, while just watching YouTube on Firefox. Everything seems normal and smooth, and suddenly it's completely frozen, no reactions whatsoever, doesn't even react to the reset button. I have to remove power entirely to stop it. Not sure where to start looking with this issue.

Displaying Closed Laptop To External Monitor

Is it possible to use a laptop with the lid closed without the system suspending? I have turned off the automatic suspension in the settings, but when I close my laptop, it stops displaying to the external screen.

M.2 Not Formatting

I have a couple of storage devices in the old PC I am using, the boot device is a 256GB SSD, an old 256GB HDD and I picked up a 500GB M.2. Everything is working, I tested them all with the windows 11 install before I moved over to Bazzite. The M.2 drive is now the only one that won't be recognised in Steam mode, but I can find it and partition it and mount it just like the other so I can't figure out what is up with it. It won't let me edit the partition like I can with the others and it doesn't...

Half-Life 1 Unplayable with constant freezes.

So I'm trying to play the original Half-Life native linux port on my gtx1060 laptop and for whatever reason, the game is constantly freezing and resuming. I checked to see if it was using the Intel GPU but its using the dedicated one. I'm not sure what exactly is going on as there is nothing being written in the game logs nor the system. The power state of the laptop is plugged in with performance mode and temperatures are stable. I really am trying to avoid using proton on this title since the native support of the game allows me to mod it, and I haven't even done that yet. I hope anyone could guide me or give me a hint as to what could possibly be happening, or maybe actually know what the issue is. Thanks!...

SONOS speakers appearing in list of Playback Devices, volume will max out even if not selected.

Question is in title, speakers are on WIFI in a different room, when a game is launched the volume always maxes out on it even though I have a different input device selected. How can I remove the SONOS speaker from the list of devices?...

Debugging hard freezes

I am using Bazzite 43 with a Nvidia GTX 1650 graphics card. At least twice now, I have had a total system freeze without warning. I had some web browser windows runing, YouTube music playing, and a terminal text editor open along with Discord. I kept System Monitor open because of the last time this happened, to make sure I was not running out of RAM. With 16GB total, System Monitor showed only about 50% used today when the freeze happened....

[Resolved] Framework 16 GPU is choosing low wattage

I don't understand why my GPU is choosing low wattage, but it's severely affecting performance. You can see that the game appears to be choosing the right GPU, it's just that the GPU wattage is low

Bazzite os 1 & 0 launching into black screen after attempting to install openrazer via just command

I have been trying for the last little bit to install openrazer via the ujust install-openrazer command, but everytime I would open Razer Genie it would say the daemon isn't found, ran the journalctl command and saw it was disabled. Enabled it and attempted to start it, it gave me an error saying I wasn't part of the plugdev group, added myself and rebooted, now either os tree 1 or 0 launches into a black screen. I need help, not sure what to do from here or what I've been doing wrong.

Yubikey No Touch?

I'm looking to try and set up my Yubikey with bazzite for no touch sudo/login. On a test install I was able to unlock the file system to edit some of the /etc/pam.d files but was only ever able to get it to require touching the yubikey and that seems to go against the immutable nature. Is what I'm trying to do even possible? If so, is there a "correct" way to do it?

Discord Microphone Audio Peaking

Hey on Discord, I'm having some odd issues with my audio peaking. I tried the official client, but after seeing Vesktop recommended more I tried that too only to be getting the same issue in Vesktop too.
