Screen Lock Broken on Laptop
DELL XPS 13 Plus: Yesterday, I went to help for this laptop cuz uupd said it hasn't been updated in over a month. After I got it resolved I continued to use my laptop. Later, I left my laptop to charge. When I went to check on it, I noticed it was hot, and big bold words took up the whole screen saying that the lock screen was broken and something about typing 'systemctl' I didn't see all of it as I was looking for my phone. Issues with layering Merkuro
Attempting to layer Merkuro results in a program that won't launch. Running it from the command line gives this error
Solution:
it complains about qtlocation missing, known fedora bug, it's fixed already, just needs time to get into bazzite
Slow download speeds in steam
I just got the OS up and running last night, started to install steam games and my download speeds went from taking minutes to hrs. Like 16-27 hrs. I have a 10G fiber card and thats what I am using as my main networking. I'm not sure if I need drivers or if there is extra configuration I need to do.

Your drivers might not work properly, since BAZZITE is an immutable distro, your settings for those drivers will get reset every time you start the computer.
You can fix it, but we are getting into big linux tryhard territory, and we just want things to work™. Drivers try to install things in /etc/ by default or inside folders that get wiped every restart. I learned this the hard way with XPPEN drivers. I had to manually configure the buttons for two days straight because the driver app doesn't allow you to change where it saves the config, because, even though it should be compatible with linux, it doesn't offer the same degree of nerd-magic because its designed for windows-users(spyware enthusiasts).
You must install the Open Tablet Drivers, from the bazaar store, using -> Then, then the most common mistake is trying to set one of the pen's buttons to right click, something that is not planned to be added to this program because it would be too hard to implement. Instead you need to set up the "linux artist mode: Button 2" in that pen button to make it work with the right click, make sure you're in artist mode too....
Solution:
Install Open Tablet Drivers from the Flatpack store With and if you have problems with the binds (left/right click won't work), make sure you're in artist mode and you've set the right click with artist mode
Feature Request: Implement "GPU Screen Recorder" into ujust
I and many I know use a package called "GPU Screen Recorder" to have a NV Shadowplay-esk experience. It can be installed separately, but is not easy to have autostart, and preferably auto enable "replay" on game launch.
It would be nice to just have a ujust command to install and configure GPU Screen Recorder to auto launch on start up, and if preferably if possible have a running script to detect games running via steam or the like to enable the Replay function.
In regards to the auto game running detection, at least on Windows there is a Registry key that denotes the "currently running app" via its Steam game ID, there is probably something similar somewhere for Linux, but I don't know enough about Linux and Steams implementation to know where it may be....
OneXPlayer X1 Pro Intel 255H
I recently bought one of these, it hasn't arrived, was wondering how support for these is. The download page basically says support is unknown on Intel variants, so was hoping to find someone that's tried it.
Also I see:
- Fan curves do not work
- Battery capacity limits do not work...
Nvidia dynamic boost not working / disabled
As the title suggests, I am using Bazzite with nvidia hardware (legion 5 rtx 3050 ryzen 5 5600h)
For some reason, my gpu never boosts to 95w in performance mode. Nvidia-powerd says it is disabled in SBIOS.
However dynamic boost works in other distros like Mint and Fedora.
What could be the problem?...
