Nvidia dynamic boost not working / disabled
As the title suggests, I am using Bazzite with nvidia hardware (legion 5 rtx 3050 ryzen 5 5600h)
For some reason, my gpu never boosts to 95w in performance mode. Nvidia-powerd says it is disabled in SBIOS.
However dynamic boost works in other distros like Mint and Fedora.
What could be the problem?...
Bluetooth disabled on zbook ultra with 6.15 kernels (Mediatek 7925)
In any image based on the bazzite 6.15 kernel bluetooth is no longer detected on the zbook ultra, which has the Mediatek 7925. Wireless is still functional on these kernels. Rolling back to any 6.14 based image restores functionality, however these images have more frequent issues with the pageflip_timeout gpu bug, so it's not an ideal solution.
Solution:
In case anyone runs across a similar issue, I was able to resolve it by disabling bluetooth in EFI, booting to a 6.15 kernel, doing a shutdown (power off) then re-enabling it in EFI.
I've heard of similar issues for people who dual boot, but this is the first time I've encountered it with a linux only device....
Bazzite doesn't seem to work with one my hard drives
I just did a fresh install, but for some reason, it just doesn't want to work with one of my hard drives while it's working just fine with every other drive I have. I've tried as much as I could find online. Trying to format it gives me "Failed to probe the device /dev/sda", trying to mount or run a self-test gives "Input/output error", and I know it's not a hardware issue because this hard drive works just fine if I boot to Windows and it can also be formatted there.
fsck gives the following...
slow boot times
is it okay to disable this service / what is it called so that i can disable it
it takes a bit of boot time and it doesnt look important...
Installation issue/partitions/grub assistance. Please help me
I originally partitioned my hard drive into 2, split 500gb/500, not accurate but very close. I installed bazzite unto a flash drive and decided to go boot it from the flashdrive for installation. From there I was met with the issue of me not having enough free space on the drive. Long story short I think I may have shrunk either my main partition or the empty partition to use the shrunk space for installation. I no longer see the partition in the list, nor did the install go successfully because...
Fuzzy Frametime graph after last Bazzite/Steam update
When I display Bazzite on my TV, just as on this screen, after the last update, Frametime graph started to show quickly oscillating frametimes, up to 31ms.
Before, the graph was completely flatline in all games I've tested, like Tekken 8, MH World, Battlefront 2.
Now it's fuzzy like this :/...
Solution:
After two months of having problem with it, after updating Bazzite today, the problem with fuzzy Frametime graph disappeared.
Not sure what changed in the update, if it was MangoHud bug or AMD driver issue....
