Unable to home since updating ratOS

Hi guys, I recently updated my RatOS, klipper, mainsail e.t.c. after not touching it since June last year when I first updated to RatOS 2.1. Now, I am unable to home. When I try it says G28 and then "Must home axis first: 0.000 0.000 15.000 [0.000]". If I use the SET CENTER KINEMATIC POSITION macro it will then let me home. But then after a print its back to square 1, I ofcourse shouldn't have to do this for every home. I'm not sure where to start here, please can anyone advise?...

Printer Hardware Missing from Configurator Setup Wizard

Hey all, Is there a reason I'm no longer able to select my hardware in the RatOS Configurator Setup Wizard? I'm just trying to change my nozzle size back from a 0.2 to a 0.4mm. This is something I've done dozens of times before, but the printer hardware is no longer showing up in the Configurator....

Solution:

You have to select another printer, then reselect your original printer and make sure to click “start fresh”. Somehow the data in moonraker got corrupted.

stepper config , cant select the drivers that i am using using the ratos configurator

vcore 3.1 while installing new btt octopus v1.1 i notice in the config that all steppers are defined as tmc 2209 v1.3 but i have v1.2 , and i cant select v1.2 is it ok to continue ?

@TheTik @blacksmithforlife 🇺🇸 thx for the help ! got the new stepper drivers today , plugged one in saw no noticable increase in temp of the octopus , switched on the 24v , all good . put in all the drivers and said a hail mary , switched it all on again , all good ! octopus sitting at a nice 25 degrees and everything working nice !

How do I stop the end print macro from clearing the homing state/turning off the motors?

The end macro always turns off the motors, can't find a setting to stop it doing that. Is there one?

I just updated to 2.1 and have a slicer issue.

I use S3D v5, the g-code is rejected with "Warning: Unknown g-code generator The file was not produced by a recognized G-Code generator, therefore it cannot be post-processed or analyzed, and its suitability for printing cannot be determined. Is S3D a supported slicer?...

"MCU 'toolboard_t0' shudown: ADC out of range" extruder temperature -125 not in range 0:350

I searched countless other posts which all have solutions I already implemented, and I started to post here when I figured it out.
I had the thermistor wires on the correct toolhead port, and measured the thermistor to have 1.089 kOhm, and I had the jumper on the correct two pins (which are quite mysterious btw, no other EBB42 v1.2 pinouts have those jumpers listed or shown on the pictures). Unbelievably, the issue was that the jumper was bad. I don't know if this is a common problem, but the jumper that came with the toolboard apparently didn't work. I replaced with one of the jumpers from the rest of the VC4 toolkit, and now everything works great! ...

Z-tilt configuration

When working on running the Pressure Advance config print. The x and y and z homes ok but when it starts the z-tilt calibration, it errors when it goes to the back left corner for being unable to see the probe. The reason why is, it has dropped the back motor down so the probe can't see the bed. I've reset the bed position a couple of times with the same result. What do I adjust to get it to not drop the back z motor down?

I have a Mellow Fly Mini Pad, which is a screen and a console in one. I like the UI and functionality of Ratos. I would like to know how to install Ratos on this HOST?

move out of range issue

hi all i update the klipper and now im getting this move out of range error , wasn't an issue till now .. so when i start the same print , i 1st do a bed mesh for a print eg pressure advance calibration it. when the bed mesh is going it gives me the error move out of range at the exact same spot.. ...

VORON 2.4 SPEED DURING BEACON

Well getting pretty close to being able to run and tried my first actual non calibration print and hit an error. How do I reduce/control the travel speeds during the beacon scan and probing at the start of a print? I have been able to reduce all the other max speeds for my early version of Voron to handle but am unable to figure out how to slow down the Beacon stuff.

How to activate a PWM Fan with two PWM Ports

Can somebody help me to turn on a 12V PWM Fan via PD14 and PD15? I want to turn the chamber heater fan with 80% PD14 needs to be 1.0 (on) and PD15 needs to be 0.8 (80%) Is this possible without a "always on port" ?...

Ratos configurator 502 gateway error

When I go to configure my vcore 4 502 gateway error appears instead of the configuration screen. These errors appear in the notifaction menu. The install of Ratos is fresh and everything is up to date according to the update manager....

Vcore 4 400 IDEX - Z-Offset

I tried to finish the commissioning guide, last step: z-offset. I get the following error message: Error during homing move: Move out of range: 200.555 428.538 -7.000 [0.000]...

Solution:

With a little help from a friend and chatgpt we found the solution: We changed "position_min" for z from -5 to -8 so that -7 is not a problem anymore...

Z Macro travel speed

I have TR8x2 lead screws and the current macros spin the steppers faster then I'd like. Are there variables for controlling the Z speed on all the macros similar to the XY, where the bed flys down and back up?

RatOS-v2.1.0-RC2 No boot

I have trouble upgrading from RatOS 1.0 to newest version. I downloaded the RatOS img file and verified the sha256. First installed the image on a new brand 64GB sdcard using dd: it creates two partitions and it looks fine, but it cannot boot my rpi3b. (permanent red led, no green blinking) Then i used BalenaEtcher with the same image and got the same result - I even tried three different sdcards. (including a new Sandisk as recommended) I tried to see if they would boot an rpi5 i had laying around..No cheese......

Firmware restart button doesn't work until I reboot the RPi

I have just installed ratos 2.1 rc2, fresh SD card with a stock image from ratos github burnt onto it. (Previously running ratos 2.0 on my vcore 3.) Now, when I click emergency stop, the "Firmware Restart" button doesn't work until I reboot the raspberry Pi. Possibly related: during config and flashing the mcu I couldn't get it to stop giving a warning about the mcu klipper version being different to the RPi klipper version. ...
