Firmware restart button doesn't work until I reboot the RPi
I have just installed ratos 2.1 rc2, fresh SD card with a stock image from ratos github burnt onto it. (Previously running ratos 2.0 on my vcore 3.)
Now, when I click emergency stop, the "Firmware Restart" button doesn't work until I reboot the raspberry Pi.
Possibly related: during config and flashing the mcu I couldn't get it to stop giving a warning about the mcu klipper version being different to the RPi klipper version. ...
The configuration manager has me stuck on "Waiting for DFU...". No options to flash, just waiting.
I've removed all jumpers besides boot and 5v, reset and still no change.
Configure new Hybrid 3.1
I powered up the v3 for the first time and made it to the homing checks. It homed to the back but went the wrong way to home the X axis. I have it configured as hybrid but everything I've read says to get it working without the hybrid belts first. Do I need to change the configuration to coreXY first then change it to Hybrid after I make it to that point? I was thinking that would undo any changes I have to make to get it working.
Solution:
It was a rookie mistake. I am using a different leadscrew guide then you and thought that it mounted to the top side of the extrusion instead of the bottom. I cut the leadscrew down and moved the bracket to the bottom and it is homing normal now.
Any way to functionally rename the [T0] macro?
I realize this might sound like a very odd question, but I'm caught in a sort of catch 22 here. I recently installed a Box Turtle AFC on my VC3.1 (single extruder) and have got most everything working great on it.
The problem I'm running into now, however, is that Box Turtle's T0, T1, T2, and T3 lane load macros collide with RatOS' T0 macro. Everything Box Turtle wise works if I were to, say, comment out the T0 macro in RatOS.cfg, but then that obviously breaks starting a print.
And remapping T0-T3 into T1-T4 works as far as Klipper goes, but OrcaSlicer gets really fiddly doing that (some discussion on that over here https://discord.com/channels/1229586267671629945/1368588039840071710). Even you put T{next_extruder + 1} into the slicer it still ends up breaking the AFC mainsail UI too as T[whatever-your-last-lane-is] will end up showing up as not used...so if there was any way to just alias RatOS' T0 over to something else that would be amazing. Can anyone offer any assistance or advice here please?...
Incorrect print history time after first print
I have noticed the print history is only showing accurate print times for the first part printed after a restart. Subsequent prints of the exact same file show wildly inaccurate print estimates and records them to the history.
This may be a separate issue, but I also noticed the history is stating the print date is Jan when I have recently updated the time on the RPi to the current local time and date....
Prime blob volume
Running ratos 2.1 rc3..
I switched from a 0.4 nozzle to a 1.2mm nozzle and found the prime blob was gigantic.
How can one control the volume of the blob - seems it should be independent of nozzle size shouldn't it?...

A simple way to prevent RatOS from regenerating printer.cfg
Been looking around for solutions but couldn't find anything easy. I'm building a custom IDEX printer with an unsupported board and been wanting to run RatOS.
My other printer is doing fine in a similar configuration, I never completed the setup wizard so RatOS won't touch any of my configuration files. However, I can't use live resonance analysis and VAOC unless I go through the setup wizard.
Only solution I've been able to come up with so far is to modify a somewhat similar printer + board combination and use a few overrides in the config file. Adding a full on custom printer seems somewhat more challenging. Is there a simpler route that I'm missing? ...
Chamber Heater Control
Hey guys,
I have an issue with the default inbuilt chamber heater controls that are built into RatOS.
My setup is an IDEX 500 V-Core4, with a 300w ptc heater and Vindr 5015 bed fans. I have two chamber thermistors, with the main one being used by RatOS mounted on the rear extrusion just above the VAOC module, and a lower one at the base of the extrusion that is just being used to compare lower chamber temps to upper chamber temps....
I am trying to connect a BoxTurtle to my Ratrig V4. The machine runs on RatOS 2.1.X
The Box turtle requires its own macro for T0 but it keeps getting overwritten by the one provided by RatRig.
Any way of fixing this?...
Tangle / clog detection on/off?
The matte filament I'm trying to print with seems to generate a lot of friction in the bowden tube, triggering the tangle detection in the smart sensor often. Is there a way to disable tangle / clog detection in the custom gcode for the filament in the slicer? Or maybe other ways to deal with this issue? I'm already using a bowden with larger ID to reduce friction.
temperature_MCU toolhead
Trying to work up a custom toolhead cooling setup for my EBB42. Problem is that when I try to set up a temperature fan for the toolboard MCU, I get the pin ADC used multiple times error, because the toolboard MCU it is already listed in the RATOS.cfg for temperature monitoring. If I delete the temperature_MCU monitoring lines in RATOS.cfg, it works.
Is there a known or feasible workaround for this?...

Adjusting the Z-speed for V-Core 4.0 IDEX using RatOS 2.1
Hi everyone,
I’m seeking assistance in adjusting the z-speed of my V-core 4 IDEX printer. I’d like to limit the z-speed to only 10 at all functions.
I’ve noticed that the z-homing speed is set to 10 in RatOS.cfg or printer.cfg, but I’m not sure which one. It doesn’t seem to be related to the z-tilt (z movement) speed or the manual z-moving speed, which I’m believing it’s set higher than 10. This higher speed causes my printer to shake heavily, which I suspect is due to a slightly misaligned lead screw....
Solution:
I’ve discovered the solution by overriding the max_z_velocity and max_z_accel values in the printer.cfg file.

T1 hotend trouble
Don’t know if this is the right place to post this but I’m running out of ideas.
With VC4 IDEX when I try to set T1 heat or heat it up with Load Filament macro it doesn’t heat up. Mainsail says “heater extruder1 not supported”. But if I run a T1 hotend PID it heats up exactly as intended. Both T0 & T1 are setup the same (Rapido 2 UHF and Orbiter v2) only difference is beacon on T0. T0 works fine consistently. Only T1 says “heater extruder1 not supported” have check printer.cfg and RatOS.cfg for any obvious differences but have not noticed anything. Please help, VAOC cal went pretty good, just want to load and test T1 thanks!...
Hybrid to IDEX.... no T1 but two T0
Finally finished my IDEX install and ran through the wizard to change the core config. When I get to the point of picking the toolboard it starts with T0 board slsection, then checks the flash, then goes again to T0 board selection, and skips the flash page to go strait to hardware selection

Does anyone here have a printer.cfg file for an IDEX printer with filament sensors? Since I changed mine not even save_config works anymore and the sensors are so sensitive that they immediately pause printing at any major acceleration.
And does anyone have a crowsnest.conf file that allows calibration with the camera without the T2 colliding with the rear bracket?...
