Z Step

Is it required to calibrate the motor steps? My Vcore 3.1 500 seems to lose height on tall prints and eventually knocks the printed parts and so think the Z Steps might be an issue.... Or maybe not..... This happens so much so that it breaks the "Tree supports" but snapping them in the middle. Bed adhesion is amazing.... but the force of the nozzle hitting the printed parts while traveling to next section is not good at all...

Correcting Skew

I have an issue with my printer being slightly out of skew in the XY. I printed the test part in the guide here. I confirmed my figures as the following SET_SKEW XY=140.81,141.56,99.62 before doing this I checked that there was not an existing skew and I also uncommeted the line in config file. I proceded to run the commands and then to also save with SKEW_PROFILE SAVE="my_skew" and then to save config. I reprinted the part but I am getting indentical results as before. I have even tried manuall...

In need of a replacement thermal fuse

my bed suddenly stopped heating normally, I tested the thermistor with a heat gun and discovered it was still operating correctly, but the two wires going to the bed heater have no coninuity between them on a multimeter. Are there any replacements available for the Keenovo 480x480mm 220V 1500W Silicone Heater Bed Pad?

AWD Stepper Motor problem

So i just finished my AWD build and i thought it works, but when i tried to sync the old two motors and the pulleys where loose on x and y I pressed homing on accident and nothing happened. X1 and Y1 did not move at all. I had to put an ! infront of the enable pin like that enable_pin: !PA0 to make it work. After i did that i tried to home and it worked, but they moved in the wrong direction x goes right and y goes back if im not wrong that is because of the sensor less homing sensitivity. I tri...

Cannot connect anymore to Moonraker server through another pc

Hi there. I cannot connect anymore to the Moonraker server nor SSH with WinSCP on another PC. However on the PC running Klipper everything works. I checked the Moonraker status and everything seems to be running fine. I also have a warning message on Mainsail saying that the path of the moonraker.conf file is not good. I tried to changed it however when i change it, i got multiple warning messages. Thanks in advance 😉

Sensor less Homing not properly working

Im trying to setup sensor less homing for my v400, but for homeing X it moves to the right and sometimes it doesnt even hit anything and it just stops. for y it moves to the back, but it also sometimes doesn't hit anything. i tried sensitivity from 1 to 200 but that didn't change anything.

V-Minion with probe location bias

Always had issues with bed adhesion on the left side, under-compensation from bed leveling. (nozzle too high) which I can get around with thicker first layers and some hairspray. As it's gonna go the the local middle-school for a bit I wanted to see if I could find the cause. I read up and used the klipper AXIS_TWIST_COMPENSATION_CALIBRATE which indeed showed a little bias (-0.01, 0.025,-0.008) as I normally calculate z-offset in the middle I was ususally ~0.03 too high for the left side which for the finer stuff matters. I imagine it as being a dip in the middle somehow. The compensation fixes it mostly, should be ok for teacher/kids to work with....

can't get 4028 part cooling fan to work.

I recently burned out a 4028 cooling fan while updating the printer.cfg file as it was running. Today, I've received a new fan and tried swapping the old one out, but it doesn't seem to work at all. I've double checked the wiring multiple times and i've tried modifying the printer.cfg file using lines of code from the ratos guide on 4028 fans to no avail. any suggestions?

Prints "grow up" when ends to print supports

Hi guys, I have a problem printing a model on my vcore 500. The model was printed diagonally because it had an approximate size of 600x45x413 mm. As you can see in the photos, it needs supports, and when it finally finishes printing the central hole, the model begins to grow towards the corners, as if it were being stretched. The thickness remains the same, but goes from approximately 600 to 602mm. It is not a loss of steps, since it goes towards the two opposite corners. I sliced it twice, but nothing changes. Any idea what's going on? Thanks in advance....

Hotend seems to be running hotter than reported

I've been printing lots of good looking prints of TPU on my V Minion for quite some time. Suddenly, I hear crackling during printing and get very rough looking prints with sagging bridges and rough porous walls. I lower the temp from 240 to 220 and then get decent looking prints again. And yes, I dry my filaments. This issue happened overnight. What's going on?

[solved] Move out of range at start of print

Move out of range: 553.863 142.883 0.484 [111604.695] Occurs at start of print after prime blob. I cannot figure out why it wants to go beyond 500, bounds are set correct in slicer and config, looking inside the G-code cannot find anything suspicious. G-code attached....

Setup Skrat No Power light

Minion down

Hi, with my Minion I am still a apprentice. Yesterday in the evening I get the fault "verify heater bed ......". Bed stays cold. Today I opened the box (not powered). I disconnected the heatbed wires and measures the electric resistance. It started (my meter tells me MOhm) at 28 and go down to no connect (o/l) during 5 to 8 seconds. Then it start again at 28 (roundabout) and counts back. Next I give power to the box. There was no power on the clamps. I set the temp to 50 degrees in mainsail and I get 22 volt. So I thing the Bigtreetech octopus is working right? Any advice?...

vminion x axis homing/ loud stepper

i got a problem with homing my printer after building it. i cant home x it just makes loud noises moves to the endstop and then continues moving the other way. i switched the xy joint plate 180 but that wont change anything bc the toolhead is colliding with it too. but that shoulndt change anything if i trigger the endstop before it hits it nothing changes...

VC3.1 500 bed not heating

hi guys haven't turned on my printer for a few weeks and went to run some prints today and now the bed won't heat the thermal fuse shows 120V running through it when i send the command to heat the bed but nothing happens then the printer shuts down since the bed isn't heating properly....

Rapido UHF Hot-ends... Junk???

So i built the Vcore400 this year and on it's first heat up the hot-end died at around 180C iirc. Open circuit, dead. The replacement which arrived late july/ early august has managed 57 hours of print time and last night failed mid print (260C). Are these junk or have i just been really unlucky? My 8-10 year old E3D Hot-ends have had 1 element change between them! Will another brand of hot-end fit in its place or will i need to repair it to print a new tool head? Any recommendations?...
