EBB42 with some idle sensors/actuators

Hello! I am in need of your help regarding my newly built Vcore 3.1 400 I'm using an EBB42 1.2 (wired using this guide https://os.ratrig.com/docs/toolboards/btt/ebb-42-12/) and an Octopus 1.1. The installation has been done with the RatOS configurator (selecting the boards properly). ...

Probe misses the bed and doesn't detect it during calibration, causing the nozzle to push very hard.

Greetings all. I have an issue with the inductive probe on my V-Minion (full kit). It just misses the bed and doesn't detect it. Is there a way to set probe offset? The software seems to think the probe is closer then it actually is. I have measured the rail spacing (y-axis) and checked everything else, looks fine according to the guide. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!...

Metal debris on linear rail

Hi, When cleaning the right side linear rail I noticed that it has some metal debris. The printer is printing fine but looks like the linear rail or carriage is done for. Should I change both the carriage and rail and what might be the cause for the debris?...

Toolboard/PT1000 - ADC out of range

Hey! I'm trying to get my EBB36-1.2 to recognize the pt1000 in my RapidoV2 and I keep getting the "MCU 'toolboard' shutdown: ADC out of range" error. I added the new sensor type, and made sure the jumper was connected on the toolboard. Any ideas where I'm going wrong? Thanks!...

Pi crashes when calibrating Input Shaper

I strapped a ADXL345 to the EVA3 and its correctly connected to the Octopus. When I type in SHAPER_CALIBRATE the print head vibrates and does its thing.
When its done Vibrating and Calculating the Data the Pi freezes and just does nothing. I left it sitting for 30min and its just not doing anything. Is my Raspberry Pi 3A+ just not powerful enough? Is there anything I can do to let the printer calibrate itself?...

Having assorted issues, nuke?

What's the easiest way to just nuke RatOS? Complete reinstall? Or if I delete all the configs, will it just auto generated new one? Ive got some assorted issues that I can't track down, and at this point I can't remember what has/hasn't been changed. I think it'll probably be easier with a blank slate and start from there instead.

Jumping on smooth circle

Hello, I wanted to print the propeller from this model (https://www.printables.com/model/227852-strong-flying-propeller-pull-copter-no-supports) and I noticed a weird behavior where it started to show ripple like on a smooth circle and the printer head moement is not smooth. It looks very much like belt teeth but not sure if the movement of the head is the cause and how to fix it. I have tried to change the following so far and no success...

Unstable Extruder Temp

Very unstable extruder temp, happens only when heating, only sometimes when cooling down but never during a print when the temp is constant. This started about a month ago but only happened every 10 prints or so. I tried PID tuning ,different thermistor pin and recrimped the connector. this also cause a "Heater extruder not heating at expected rate"...

X gantry uneven

Hi, Ive followed along with the build guide on aligning the gantry. My frame is square diagonally and measures the same across the whole way along. When i move the gantry to the front of the frame and measure to the corner like it says in the instruction, one side is 17mm and the other side has a gap of 11mm. Ive losened the carriages up and tried to align them with that but that gap doesnt reduce. Ive even tried tightening the belts to see if that makes a difference but it doesnt seem to affect the gap even if i tension the hell out of it. I have no idea where to go from here. Any tips would be appreciated...

Z_tilt vs mesh vs those fighting a flat mesh grid

..wasn't sure where to put this so figured it might help some people getting 'potato chips' as bed meshes. Yes...oddball basis here...playing with a brand new 300 bed, but mounted in a 500 frame. (IDEX style bed support)
I'm getting GREAT repeatability on my mesh. Sub 0.1mm no problem. I ran into something quite interesting, that is also a carry over from past Q's I've posted here trying to understand some aspects of Klipper in general. The image below, is a screen cap of a cluster of screen caps....

Z-Axis Homing Causes Toolhead Collision With Bed

I'm attempting to home and the toolhead is colliding with the bed no matter what I set my z-offset to. Applying changes to z_offset in printer.cfg seems to have no effect.

Unable to read tmc uart 'stepper_Z1' register IFCNT

Hi everybody. I tried to hook up a EBB42 and connected the endstop wrong. The EBB-board got fried and I got "unable to read tcm uart" messages and nothing on the printer works. After some trial and errors i thought that my MCU (Octopus v1.1) was toasted. I ordered a new one and hooked it up today with a flashing of the board and a bran new printer_cfg. Same errors. I tried to change the stepper drivers for new ones for all motors. Same errors. I have tried to disconnect endstops, thermistors, heaters, motors, fans from the main board at one at the time but same errors. I am running out of options here I think. Depending of what I disconnect I get the error on Z2, Z3, X and Y as well.
If I visually inspect my old MCU I cannot see any damages on it. Likewise on the old stepper drivers. Does anybody have any suggestions of what can be wrong and what to check? I am really unsure to proceed....

Strange noise when printing circles

Hey guys… my vc300 started to make a weird noise when printing / moving in circles. Otherwise , no matter how fast I print, everything is silent. Do you have any idea what causes this? I am 99% sure that it comes from the print head. Attached you find two sample clips. ...

Sanyo 4028 Fan runs at 100%, regardless of what speed I set it to.

Hello, again! Been a while! I haven't worked on my printer for a bit and just started digging in to it again a few hours ago. I am having a new issue where my fan won't operate at less than 100%. This wasn't an issue before. I've gone over my settings and wiring and I can't find errors so far. I'm uploading my printer.cfg and a picture of the wiring. I'm using a Octopus 1.1. I also tested continuity from one end of the PWM cable to the other and it's not broken....
