What DH version is compatible with iris-1.7.0-snapshotmc1.20.4-bb398b3-dirty
I've been testing with multple DH versions for my 1.20.4 instance but literally none of them seem to work? I am currently using DistantHorizons-2.0.3-a-dev-1.20.4. On the Iris discord server they stated that it supports DH so I am unsure if I am just being an idiot or not.

Downgrading
I am currently using the latest nightly build of DH and want to downgrade and use it with the latest stable release of iris shaders (which just updated). Would I have any issues with this?
Bug/Feature? Really slow loading until I install Mineguns
I'm having a weird speed problem with Distant Horizons. I've seen videos of how fast it loads for others, but for me and my modpack, a customized version of All The Forge 10.7? It chugs along so slow that I almost feel like it's concussed.
Then I installed Mineguns mod for 1.20.1, and suddenly Distant Horizons started zipping along nearly as fast as the normal chunk loading!
This is a problem because I unfortunately can't use the mineguns mod as it has no config for turning off certain features, and it causes my game to lag all on its own when I woke up to find my character and my house/base surrounded by hundreds of paradropped crates. Can't turn it off, so I can't use the mod, so Distant Horizons is back to chugging slowly along....

Does anyone know how to fix this other then manually going top the chunks and fixing it?

Parts of old buildings still show up in LOD chunks
Hey, does anyone know how i can fix this? I built some buildings in this area, and later removed them, as i was redesigning said area, however even after building new buildings and reworking the whole area, there seem to be random blocks from the old buildings still showing in the LOD chunks, does anyone know how to fix this?

Mod not working on MODDED server.
I am using forge 1.20.1 and downloaded mod version 1.20.1. I disabeld all my shaders but i cannot seem to get it to render.
Odd visual artifacts and chunks disappearing (2.0.3a + Oculus 1.6.15aDH)
Hi all! First of all, thank you devs for this amazing mod.
I am currently using Distant Horizons 2.0.3a with Oculus 1.6.15aDH (the build that was released specifically for DH compatibility on the Reforged server), Embeddium and the Distant Horizon-enabled Bliss shaders. My Minecraft version is 1.20.1. For the most part, my game looks absolutely stunning. However, I've noticed that blocks floating high up in the air will be rendered from a distance with a big shadowy column beneath them, which doesn't go away until they are approached. Also, sometimes distant chunks will suddenly disappear/fail to load - I have noticed this tends to happen when they are in ocean biomes. Finally, the game has frequent microstutters. Unlike other reports, I have not been getting error messages in my chat.
Is there any way to fix or ameliorate any of these issues? I'm expecting the answer may well be "no, Oculus with Distant Horizons is still buggy and in beta," but I thought I might as well reach out and ask. đ Oh also, I have a Nvidia 3080 graphics card, and have allocated 24GB of RAM to Minecraft (I know this may seem excessive, but I genuinely get out of memory errors if I use any less - on top of the shaders and Distant Horizons, I have over 500 mods in my modpack!)...

DH rendering Create's Copycat blocks as bright magenta
Hello! I've recently been working on a moderately-sized Fabric modpack (MC version 1.19.2), with a mod list including Distant Horizons, Create, and a Create add-on, Copycats+, which provides a greater variety of Copycat blocks (which are essentially Create's version of Carpenter's Blocks).
On the whole, the pack is stable, but I've noticed during testing that all Copycat blocks (Both the default Create ones, and those from the Copycats+ add-on) were being rendered in a bright, missing-texture magenta whenever the player was far enough away for DH's rendering to kick in. An example of this can be seen in the attached images: The 4-by-4 array of blocks are all Copycats which have had blocks inserted into them, viewed once within the Minecraft render distance, and once within the DH render distance. (This does also happen to empty Copycats, however.)
After some testing on my own, I've come to theorize that this has something to do with how Copycat blocks work on the back-end: That is, to keep a Copycat block's default texture from clipping with the textures of any blocks that get inserted into it, the actual Copycat block itself is completely invisible, allowing it to remain unrendered until a bit of Create's code can step in and decide whether to display the default "empty" Copycat block texture, or the texture of an inserted block. As a result of the block being invisible to Minecraft's usual rendering process, however, other mods which try to fetch the texture of the Copycat block will often end up finding a missing texture - and thus, Distant Horizons winds up with a black-and-magenta checkerboard, which it boils down to just the bright magenta....
Solution:
what you see is "missing texture magenta"
those blocks might not bind the texture correctly, or at least in a way that DH understands it resulting in DH reading it as missing texture
in 2.0.3 there is workaround making such blocks simply not appear...

Unclear on correct shader compat versions for DH 2.0+
I feel like this has to be explained somewhere, but I've looked through the faq channels and some info on github and I still wasn't clear on exactly what I needed.
Specifically:
- Is DH + shaders in a playable state currently? Are there major/gamebreaking issues? Does it need more time to cook?...
why doesnt the mod work on servers?
I've started a server with my friend and distant horizons doesnt work, it only turns the currently already loaded chunks into lods

World size ~40GB. How to delete DH data?
Is there any way to delete some of DH data. My world is almost 40GB and it keeps getting larger. I would like to lower the file size and play without Distant Horizons mod.
1.20.4 think i messed up
I was trying to update to the latest vrs. of DH + Iris but looks like i messed up since indium isnt compatable with that ofc.... Not sure how to get back to the previous vrs. of DH which is how i had it.
