High CPU usage after generation?

I am seeing very high CPU usage, up to 100%, even when all of the chunks should have been generated. If i stay still, then CPU usage drops to a reasonable amount, but moving quickly (flying) starts hammering it, even if I’ve been to those locations before. It’s fine if this is expected behavior and loading the LODs from disk is just that intensive, I’m just a bit surprised that I can so easily outrun my 12900K....

Weird terrain that doesn't exist

I'm using Embeddium, as well as camera overhaul, and I'm using the Earth Map 1:1000 if that's a problem
Solution:
Thanks I tweaked the settings a bit and it's working perfect now 🫡

Any way to decide on a per server basis whether to enable DH ?

On servers where there's multiple worlds DH gets confused, and for the most part they're minigames servers where there's no need for the increased render distance since you're in a closed area. I'd like to disable DH rendering when on one of those servers. Is there some sort of enable list I can specify ?
Solution:
Sadly not. But you can ask the server owners to install DH but disable generation. The server will then be able to tell clients that the different sub-servers are actually separate worlds.

holes in LODS after generating with chunky

So I fired up chunky and generated my chunks, with distant horizons disabled from multimc launcher (not installed) with the help of c2me. When it finished, i uninstalled chunky and let distant horizons generate LODS with the "pre-existing chunks only setting". Following that, i can see maany holes in the lods, whose position seems to be consistent across restarts. Also, when i travel to the holes, they fill up, never to be seen again. (I'm using lithosphere worldgen and the loaded terrain is 64000 ny 64000 blocks, or 4000 by 4000 chunks) Can anyone help?? version:1.21.5...

LOD Chunk Render Distance for server

So in my singleplayer world i can make alot of chunks generate by just extending the distance on DH options, i have it set to 4096 which explands the distance of the world greatly and i really like it. I have my own server setup aswell and i tried to do the same thing by going into the DH settings on the server folder and i think its maxgenerationrequestdistance in which i also put it to 4096 but it doesnt even come close to the distance generated on my singleplayer world, even though i set it to generate the same amnmount of chunks, any help? thanks! heres my server file just in case this helps....

1.21.7 Fabric Server DHS?

Hello, I'm not sure if this is the right channel for this question, but is there a DHS for a 1.21.7 Fabric server?
Solution:
No, the plugin DH version will only work on plugin loaders like Paper For any mod loaders like fabric you will need to use the mod version of DH...

Sand is a bright yellow in Desert Biomes

For some reason, sand in the desert biomes generates patches of bright yellow--and entire sections of the desert is bright yellow too. I've disabled/re-enabled tint with avoided blocks I've set blocks to ignore to non-colliding I've tried different quality presets...

Nether Roof looks weird when using DH server-side

Not much more to say other than a screenshot. This is with the latest DH 2.3.3 RC2 on both client and server.

Exception ticking world

Can't load my single player world on Superior RPG on latest modpack version. No one in that discord seems to have this issue. Fresh install of the modpack still same issue, whether it's my survival world or a new world

Best way to quickly generate a lot of area

When I first used this mod it allowed me to use chunky to generate the chunks but now that is incompatible. What is the best way to get a large area loaded right now

Distant Generator working very slowly

Hi, was playing on my server (both client and server-side DH) explored a bit further and the chunks randomly stopped loading. This was with DH 2.3.2, I enabled the debug wireframe and world gen queue, but nothing showed up. I reloaded the game with the nightly build of DH 2.3.3 and the chunks seem to be loading, but the game is using far less CPU resources than it should be. I maxed the usage to "I paid for the whole CPU", but it is using only about 50% of my CPU at the moment, and all 16 of the...
Solution:
think i fixed it by upping the server's (not the client's) CPU usage to "Balanced", seems to be loading way better now

Distant Horizons 2.3.3- b fabric server issues

when distant horizons is installed server side it creates these artifacts

Solution:
Maybe try downloading the ones in #links-n-downloads? That one gets updated frequently and is likely to be more recent than the RC.

Some shading issue

some lods appear to be blackened, on this stone block structure, the shading is only troubled from the sides, but fine from the top. On the ocean floor, some chunks are fine, some aren't. The last 2 examples are with and without the only render LOD's debug setting

NeoForge 1.21.1 can't start my game with Distant Horizon

I tried removing my config file, reinstalling the mods and other simple things like that and it doesn't worked. I achieved to start one time my game but without doing anything

Grid like artifact

Not sure this is related to the faq section about LODs rendering behind half blocks (I didn't really understand, sorry) but I'm getting this grid artifact in my world. I'm using sodium and intel integrated graphics. I'm happy to post my logs n shizzle but this may be a known thing - I promise I have tried to look for similar problems but I haven't seen anything. I've attached an image, you can make it out above the snow on the tree, but I have seen more apparent examples
Solution:
Yeah it is the overdraw from the FAQ

Can DH cause server lag even if distant generation is disabled?

am considering adding it to a server for all the features other than chunk/lod generation, but would it still put any strain on the server even if we disable those features?
Solution:
Very very little
