DH crashing AMD driver
Hi, I'm creator of crash Assistant mod. Recently I started to see DH started massively crash AMD driver.
Users tried updating driver, but it not helping.
I really seeing a lot of it. Like 2 per day.
What solution on such crash I should give to users?
Is it issue with DH or AMD?...
"Clint only world" although its installed on both server/client
not sure if this is beta 2.3.3 rc2 specific but installed dh on both server and client. i can run dh commands from the server console so i know its working. but in f3 debug screen it says
"

server has full dh support
"...
Solution:
"server has full dh support" means you are correctly connected to the server and you client sees the DH server
Visual fog glitch on vanilla render distance
this glitch only appears when using shaders (any shaders) currently am using complementary and any other shader I try has the same issue.
version: 1.21.6
modloader: Neoforge
DH version: 2.3.3...
Solution:
bug is no longer occurring when using new DH version (2.3.5)

Question about pregen
Hello everyone, just want to make sure. I tried to find the answer on Discord but didn't come across any clear explanations.
So, I had a world already generated by players (not up to a specific radius, but there is a border), and I installed DH on both the server and client. The generation mode is set to
PRE-EXISTING
.
Will DH automatically generate all LODs for existing chunks when I start the server (assuming no one is online), or will I need to run the /pregen
command? Because when I execute the command and set an arbitrary radius larger than the world border, it seems to take some time to process chunks that shouldn't need to be generated....Increase Distance Radius
I've seen screenshots and videos of people being able to see pretty much the entire world from way up in the sky. How do they do this? Any settings I can find in the menu for increasing generation or rendering are capped at 4096, and changing them in the config seems to do nothing. I am blind, though, so it is very likely I missed something obvious.

Disabling DH
How would i disable DH on the client entirely? Making a server with automodpack, so just removing the mod is not an option. Setting everything to
False
in the main config page in-game does not do the job as there are still some memory-related (atleast i think so) crashes relating to DH on lower-end PCs, like the one heredistant horizons loading all black world

Can see tunnels and lava pockets through water, but only when looking around, not when keeping the camera still.

client side requirements for plugin on server
Hi. Sorry if ive completely glossed over something, but I can't find any requirements for the client side on the gitlab page unless I'm blind (https://gitlab.com/distant-horizons-team/distant-horizons-server-plugin/-/wikis/home)
Do clients need the mod installed too? Eg the fabric version? Or the plugin maybe? Either will work? Thanks in advance...
Solution:
Client needs the mod too, and both Forge and Fabric will work.
And yes, the plugin will send the same data to all players that have DH so that they dont have to explore the chunks in order to see them....
Will lods still load further than what I have the "lod chunk render distance" set to?
if I have 512 will it go beyond that?
black lod chunks everywhere
My map is made on world painter with a custom height of 516. There is a lot of caves and tunnels under it so maybe its linked to that. Is there any setting to prevent all of those black zones appearing on my map ?
I have the same bug without the shaders...

The mod Distant Horizons is not showing up in Aternos. I want to use it on the serverside side(multiplayer side). How do I install it?

if the server doesn't have dh, then yeah it will operate on client side only which has limitations
Clouds generating over LODs
Yeah, so, I'm using the DistantHorizons-2.3.3-b-RC2-1.21.7-fabric-neoforge version and, for some reason, clouds keep generating over the DH LODs. Is this a known issue? Couldn't find it in #bug-report, #faq-problems-and-fixes , or #help-me . No settings combination worked for me, no other mods present.

I swear no matter how long I sit in my world DH just doesnt generate LODs. Im on version 1.20.1 if that matters
Weird visual glitch.
I'm playing in Singleplayer. 1.21.5 latest Neoforge 21.5.82
Mods installed: WorldEdit, Sound Physics, Chunky, Forgematic, Dynamic Lights, CreativeCore, Ambient Sounds.

DH stutters with replay mod 360 video render
I'm using replay mod with Distant Horizons. I copied the server files into the correct directory and when I preview before rendering.
However, after rending the 360 video it seems that the DH portions are shaking or jittering a lot. I was hoping someone might have an idea on how to fix this issue?

I think Complementary's antialiasing is messing with everything, you could try turning off TAA
