If DH is present server side, instead of the seed, a better name is used

I need help to fix the floating dots in the water found when using bliss
you notice in the distance those green small dots? I think their coral but I don't know why they're shown?

Tops of Kelp
I know there's a solution to this, I've fixed it before, but I've forgotten and I can't find the solution here.
The tops of kelp are solid green so it looks weird in the ocean having all this blue then green specks around. How do I make it so DH doesnt render the tops of kelp?...

The title says it all. I can't roll back because that would mean that I would have to use and older version of cull less leaves and I can't find any supported one.

Need help with 'java.lang.NullPointerException' issue on server
Good morning lovely people. We are getting an exception on our server/multiplayer console which is causing DH to not work correctly. (LODs are not being sent to the client from server) We have distant generation enabled on our client side.
It was working when we first started the server 2 days ago but now its throwing a 'java.lang.NullPointerException' on the console as of yesterday. We are on Minecraft version 1.21.1 (fabric) using the 'DistantHorizons-fabric 2.3.3-b-dev-1.21.1 jar' from the NightlyBuild_1.21.1-1b9d14e7-2025-06-17T07_15_36-05_00.zip folder from the links & downloads channel.

DH for 1.21.5 and WorldPainter maps - temp fix request
A few weeks ago I reported that WorldPainter maps don't work nicely with DH in 1.21.5. This is because WP provides corrupt height map info.
While we wait for a fix, either from the DH devs or WP dev (unlikely, RIP), is there anything I can do for the time being? Like a program that can fix corrupt data or something until a permanent fix is provided?

LOD chunks are low quality or display weirdly
Hi there, I'm having an issue where the chunks distant horizons generates are either really low quality or some aspects in them just display weirdly. It happens with/without my shader pack.
I do have some mods installed, I originally though one of my mods may be causing it but after disabling all of them i was still having the issue. This is what's left in my modpack and some screenshots of the issues.
I am playing on a server with bobby, so if this question is better deserved for the bobby mod then please lmk!...
Solution:
Q: There are holes at the edge of vanilla Render Distance, especially during movement
A: This is caused by either vanilla terrain not loading in fast enough, or shader's incorrect overdraw prevention implementation or configuration (if you use one)
Some world gen speed improvement can be found when adding these three mods, but the affect will be minor:

Issue with shaders on iris.
For whatever reason, theres holes in the world with shaders on
I noticed in the FAQ that theres a fix for this, but thats with a mod I dont have, i tried installing it and doing the suggested settings but that didnt do anything. I tried changing the culling settings bit for some reason it just ignores the setting made to fix it. Any help is appreciated....

Tips for helping users on a server
Hi I'm wondering if you have any tips for how I should help a player on our server.
I'm unable to reproduce their problem on my machine in the same area, but they appear to quite consistently get into trouble.
I got them to send me a crash report (https://mclo.gs/YbB3khb), but I have not filed any issue (since I cannot reproduce it locally so I cannot do it with less mods)

Is it really feasible to run DH with JJ Thunder?
First of all, want to give high praise and congratulations to the team making distant horizons a possibility what a game changer!
With that said, feeling a little discouraged at the moment because running a server, I often find you get the moved too quickly message, regardless of the mods you have on the server.
Making exploration, or really even simply fast movement, unrealistic.

Minecraft crashes only when DH is added (during world loading)

As the title says, when i include DH in the enabled mods (I use prism) it crashes only during world loading. It loads minecraft fine, but when i play my world, it crashes.
On another note, the nightly build of DH for 1.21.1 doesn't show up on modmenu 💔. I added it to disable instanced rendering (on the nightly build) I turned it off on normal DH and it worked fine.... only for like 5 seconds, then it crashed....
Solution:
So turning of all generic rendering before entering the world and only enabling the main one after joining and then turning on shaders stops the game from crashing
console spam when attempting to pregen the nether with the mod bygone nether installed.
I am sure you guys see this on occasion, but as the title describes, I am currently trying to do the pregen work for my dedicated server config (set up through amp). Whenever the command is run, the console gets spammed by the error "Bygone Nether: Detected a mod with a broken basalt columns configuredfeature that is trying to place blocks outside the 3x3 safe chunk area for features. Find the broken mod and report to them to fix the placement of their basalt columns feature."
Solution:
This seems to me like something that requires you to change the generation mode to Internal Server.
shadow issues/render quality in the distance?
Hi, so I honestly haven't researched much due to laziness but I sorta looked around, and is it just a minecraft setting that is causing these shadows? Also, what settings do I use to make the rendering in the distance better quality rather than just very undetailed blocks?? thanks 🙂

DH server help
I'm trying to set up DH with a modded server called "Hytur Craft", I installed the beta 2.3.2 for server compatibility.
When I start the server and enter at first it didn't work well, I tried to configure the toml file and this is what I came up with. (I'll add the file after)
I tried to pregen the server but it seems like it doesn't do anything for me even though the sqllite file goes up in size and status says its pregening
I need some help getting this working properly if anyone has any suggestions....
Playing with DH
Yo! I just installed it and it quickly rendered LOD on default 256 chunks radius but my cpu is still on high usage.
I know that there is on FAQ is recommendation to lower radius/quality and also disable Word Generation.
So my questions are:
1) What's the best way to play with DH? After rendering of LOD I need to leave settings how it is or I should to disable something?
2) For some reason progress bar isn't showing for me but I see LOD's generated so I assume it works fine ( maybe bar isn't showing cuz of other mods)...
